Ashton Heath was slightly taken aback and looked down at her, his eyes showing a hint of surprise.
"Why are you looking at like that?" Joanna Lawrence raised her head and blinked her eyes.
"I just feel like you’ve changed a bit from before."
"What’s different?"
"In the past, you might have pleaded for her and asked to let her go." Ashton Heath’s hand rested on her head, pressing lightly, giving her a head massage.

"Was I really that soft-hearted before?"

She didn’t feel any sympathy for Sophie either.

"Of course not. How do you see Jeremy? Do you still think of him as an innocent little boy? In front of you, he’s definitely obedient and sensible, a well-behaved, gentle younger brother."
"But that doesn’t an he’s like that in front of others. It’s a good thing Jeremy can be ruthless when he needs to be. He has to take over Uncle Damien’s company in the future. If he’s not ruthless, he’ll be eaten alive."
Talking about Jeremy Lawrence, Joanna thought of so things and couldn’t help but sigh.
"Why are you sighing?" Ashton asked.
"I just suddenly thought of Jeremy and Regina Kelloway. Although we didn’t cause Rebecca Kelloway’s car accident, we can’t escape responsibility for it. On top of that, you acquired the Kelloway Group. The people of the Kelloway family must hate us to the bone now."
As she spoke, Joanna began to feel a headache coming on.
"They were against Regina and Jeremy’s relationship before. Now... they probably won’t allow Regina and Jeremy to see each other anymore."
