She really despised this little kid.
She wished this annoying child would disappear from her sight imdiately.
So before Edward Cooper could finish speaking, Annie Lawrence agreed at once, putting on a facade of understanding, "As long as Lucus is happy, it doesn’t matter whether he’s with or Mr. Rushbrook."
"This doesn’t have to be set in stone, does it? It can be changed, right?"
Edward Cooper hesitated for a mont, then nodded, "Yes, it can be changed."
"Then let Lucus stay with Mr. Rushbrook. I can understand," Despite being incredibly upset, Annie Lawrence wanted to salvage her image and so she held back her anger and put on an act of kindness.
She gently said, "Besides, I worry about whether I can take good care of Lucus. Mr. Rushbrook has done a decent job in taking care of him before."
Edward Cooper looked at her a few more tis.
Seeing that she didn’t really mind, he nodded, "Alright then, let Lucus stick with Porter. You’ll still have to complete tasks together in the post-production stage, it’s just a temporary arrangent."
Annie Lawrence nodded in agreent.
Edward called over a mber of staff, "Take Lucus to Porter and let him know."
Soon, the staff mber left with Lucus.
"You can take a break. In the afternoon, there are more tasks," Edward told the remaining guests. "The program group will be rearranging so of the things. The specifics are still being discussed. I have to handle sothing right now, call if you need anything."
After speaking, Edward also left quickly.
Mandy Phelps, another female guest, also took her little guest back to her room.
The remaining staff mbers also left.
Now only Joanna Lawrence and Annie Lawrence were left in the hallway.
Joanna Lawrence was about to leave with Olivia but was called back by Annie Lawrence.
"Joanna, could you wait," While Annie Lawrence was calling her by her respectful title, there was not a shred of respect in her eyes. The live broadcast was interrupted by the fire that just erupted, and there were no caras on them at the mont.
With undisguised hatred in her eyes, she stared at Joanna Lawrence.
Unlike her previous pretense of hiding her true feelings.
Upon turning around, Joanna Lawrence was t with Annie Lawrence’s icy gaze filled with hatred.
She was stunned by the intense and undisguised hatred.
At the sa ti, the indescribable feeling of familiarity when she first t Oga Huntley surfaced again, stronger than the previous two tis.
Those eyes... they seed familiar to her.
They reminded her of soone who once looked at her with the sa hatred, who has been missing for a long ti.
Joanna Lawrence hasn’t heard about her for a long ti.
She stared straight at the woman in front of her.
It felt absurd to her.
She could recognize what Annie Lawrence looks like, even with her eyes closed.
She also firmly believed that she wouldn’t mistake her.
Still, this newcor nad Oga Huntley, looked completely different from Annie Lawrence.
However...
The hatred in their eyes when they looked at her was identical.
At that mont, Joanna Lawrence finally figured out why she found Oga Huntley’s face familiar the first ti she saw her.
Because Oga Huntley reminded her of Annie Lawrence.
Although they looked completely different.
But Joanna Lawrence felt the sa aura from Oga Huntley.
