Joanna Lawrence and Porter and Kelvin took a cab to the Ripple Pavilion.
As they got out of the car, they saw a group of people standing at the door. The man in the lead, on seeing Joanna, was first taken aback, and then his eyes revealed undisguised astonishnt.
The rest of the people also had faces full of amazent.
Joanna, used to such reactions, didn’t think much of it.
She followed Kelvin to the entrance.
Just as they were about to enter, the man who had been staring at her earlier stepped forward and asked respectfully, "Excuse , are you Miss Joanna Lawrence?"
Joanna looked up at him: "I am, and you are...?"
"Hello, Miss Joanna. I am Wally Bott, the general manager of Ripple Pavilion, and I have been waiting for you here."
While speaking, Mr. Bott couldn’t help but take another quick glance at Joanna. In his mind, he once again marveled at the sight of such a stunning beauty.
He had seen many beautiful won before.
There were many in the Ripple Pavilion.
And all of them were exceptional in appearance.
But compared to Mrs. Ashton Heath standing before him, those beauties in Ripple Pavilion seed pale and dull.
No wonder Ashton Heath and Frank Parker were so taken with her.
She was incredibly beautiful.
Even he found his emotions stirring as he watched her.
These days, won in photos always seed better-looking than in real life.
After all, photos could be photoshopped. Even a plainly-looking woman could turn herself into a beauty through photoshop.
Yet this was the first ti he saw soone who looked better in person than in photos.
When Joanna heard Mr. Bott say that he had been waiting for her at the entrance, she didn’t find it surprising. Nodding her head, she said, "In that case, please lead us inside, Mr. Bott."
After all, Ashton Heath was one of the shareholders.
So there was nothing strange about the special treatnt she was receiving.
However, although Joanna thought this treatnt was normal, Porter was rather disconcerted. He quietly tugged at her sleeve and asked in a low voice, "Why is the general manager of this place so courteous to you? And why was he waiting here for us?"
"Could it be that you are a VIP custor at this place? But even VIP custors wouldn’t warrant a personal welco from the general manager, right? Tell what’s going on?"
Joanna turned her head, and the corners of her lips curled up slightly, "Mmm, I guess you could say I am a VIP custor."
"VIP custors receive this kind of treatnt?" Porter obviously did not believe.
He had been to high-end clubhouses like this.
He was also a VIP custor at so places, but he had never received such treatnt.
"Of course not, it’s actually because my husband owns so shares in this place. So you could say that I’m one of the ’Lady Bosses’ here."
Porter: "..."
He knew it!
"So you’re inviting and Mr. Norman to your own place? Joanna, does this even count as treating?"
"Of course it does," Joanna rolled her eyes at him, "It’s not like you guys have to pay. Besides, I didn’t know this beforehand. I only found out when I booked the private room."
Porter: "You don’t know what industries your husband owns?"
"I don’t," Joanna shrugged nonchalantly, "He owns too many, I can’t keep track of them all. How could I possibly rember everything?"
Porter: "..."
He felt as if Joanna was showing off, but he had no proof!
So what if she had married a rich man?!
What kind of talk is that? She’s clearly trying to provoke him intentionally!
