Erging from the Trial with the power of my blood still pumping through my veins solidified what I needed to do now that we were free; my blood was humming and my body was yearning for sothing that even Jahi couldn't provide right now.
A deep, bottomless hunger ford within my belly, a hunger that only one person in the world could help quench; it was a hunger that was twofold, a hunger that would only be satiated if I could feast on that person to my hearts content.
Sothing that both of my companions here could sense since I wasn't even trying to hide it; they could see how ravenous I was, see how much I was yearning to return to the camp, and both showed a similar reaction.

Even though she had that chipper, amused tone Anput was clearly just as irritated as we were, and that was made clear as the Jackalkin bit deep into Kat's shoulder to mark her again, making the Dogkin gasp and writhe around as she tried to break free from the pain.
