Now reading: Chapter 1361 - 1360: Bloodline Upgrade (1) from My Servant System, a Action novel by KetsuekiHasu.

"So the consensus is to use them now then? For Anput and I to purify and or upgrade our blood to sothing more than just Dogkin and Jackalkin?"

"I don't see why not? We have a surplus of healing items, strong healers, ample ti and resources to harbor you and take care of you... if sothing goes awry in terms of the results we should be able to handle it."

Jahi seed so certain about sothing that none of us were well versed in, and although it was just a faux confidence she put on to reassure us that this was a good idea I had to admit that there was surely no chance we would receive a reward that was faulty or could kill us simply by using it.

I was - of course - being slightly facetious when I addressed that, but to be honest part of did believe that the reward handed to us wouldn't be sothing that could permanently debilitate soone on such a fundantal level.

On the other hand the obvious thing that differed from who would have normally received this reward and us who currently had it was that this place was once populated by people who - apparently - understood these sorts of things and had experience with it.

So perhaps there were 'tribulations' that one had to go through to enhance your bloodline that we weren't preparing for, or perhaps I was overthinking it entirely; I an, again, this is a place that has gifted soone an entirely separate Core, given us additional mana pathways, boosted our physical strength...

If those sorts of things are possible and are easily granted, why would bloodlines be sothing kept entirely separate?

These are fundantal alterations to the body that affect it at large, so the logical thinking I was following would classify these all beneath that single umbrella of function, aning that the results I had seen from everything else should apply to this as well.

If they were safe to undergo and could be endured simply by chugging down a potion or by just resting then surely transforming my bloodline into sothing better would be a similar enough process, right?

Besides, as Jahi had said we had an abundance of ti and resources to deal with this, as well as having Leone - who was a very potent healer herself - alongside Lilith, who surely had so expertise in a wide variety of techniques that could be used.

"I suppose we should, but I think the best case is to go one at a ti and ensure nothing terrible happens, no?"

Anput gave a grin at that, the Jackalkin saying "Suggesting that I go under first so that you could potentially avoid any bad things, Kat~? Naughty, naughty~!" making roll my eyes as I replied "Logically it makes sense, but I can go under first if need be. Either works for ."

"I am only joking~! I'll do it first so I can have three healers on all at once, and on top of that it makes more sense to go one at a ti... So, lem see one of those scrolls, hm? How do we set this array thing up; is it sothing I have to do or can soone else do it for ?"

Leone withdrew hers from the silver bracelet dangling on her wrist, making my lips twitch upwards for a mont as I got to see what it was like to summon sothing from the storage space via soone else.

It was definitely nifty, but there were more pressing things, primarily being the Vampire reading over the scroll in her hands and gesturing for us to make so space around the campfire; the others were all awake and in various states of rest, but upon both listening to our conversation and also seeing this they ca over as well.

I filled them in on whatever they had missed while waiting to hear from Leone, and after getting completely filled in Lilith made her way over to the Vampire as well, peering at the scroll from over her shoulder and preparing to help her.

"Such an intriguing item, no? A scroll with the magic imbued into it that could improve soone's blood... It's both vague yet so clearly powerful, doing sothing that is unnatural yet also natural."

Lady Fenyras just stood beside and watched her niece and the Demoness read that scroll silently, her whisper diverting most of my attention to her as I glanced over and asked "How can it be unnatural yet also natural? That doesn't make sense; it has to be one or the other."

"It can be both. It is natural because you, my dear, can improve your bloodline by breeding with soone. Your children will reap the fruits, yes, but that is how it is done. Back in the day the world revolved around selectiveness. Soone like you would belong to soone like because you had traits I wanted to pass down."

The hunger in her voice was almost bottomless, and although it was a brief glimpse into the welling pit of arousal that this Demon Wolf was it was more than enough to get to visual sothing rather... stupid.

I knew she ant a ti similar to ours just less peaceful, but my mind couldn't help but conjure up the very, very distant past of caven, draped in furs and barely knowing how to start fires; in a ti like that I might have been hers by right of her being so much stronger than everyone here, except for Lilith.

It was a brief 'dream' that swirled around in my head, but it was enough to make her smirk as she pat my shoulder as a reminder of where I was, like she wanted to know she had seen it but also as a way to bring back before I fell too deeply into my own stupidity.

"The unnatural part of this all is you two are now going to be enhancing the blood in your veins directly, instead of mixing it with soone else's and seeing the wonders that co from your child having said mixed blood.

You are what you are, and the stronger you get the purer your blood becos, yes, but it never becos sothing... new. No one has ever evolved themselves naturally. No one has undergone a fundantal shift via sothing that wasn't in them already.

I have both Demon and Wolfkin blood. For a long ti my Demon blood was... dormant. Recessive. During a period of strife and stress it decided to awaken, and I went from a shriveling whelp to what you see today. That is natural. What you do here... it is unnatural. Tampering with what nature intends."

She brought it back around to what we had been discussing, saving from myself and giving sothing to focus on as I pursed my lips and mulled over her words, picking them apart and using them to reassure myself.

"You could argue though that we were never ant to have magic. Most theories suggest it was the consumption of monsters that resulted in us receiving Cores - amongst a few other things - and that it was an act against the world. We weren't ant to wield it, but here we are."

"That theory is primarily championed by those unlucky enough to be Coreless or have a small Core. Take it with a grain of salt... but I understand your aning, pup. I just think you're wrong. However, I would have called you insane if you had suggested we would find a bubble of altered ti housing a city from so long ago that was a gateway to so new, advanced world. So... yeah."

She pat my shoulder again and walked over towards one of the logs, plopping down and watching as Anput was seated in the middle of a large Ritual Circle that the two were drawing around her.
