Twirling the spear around, I shed most of the blood and gore clinging to its blade so that I could go for another stab, which would make three on this bulging, gargantuan bull that was trying its damndest to gore with its massive horns.
Two long spears of tallic keratin were constantly being swung at , the protruding spikes hoping to snag onto any little bit of cloth or burrow into flesh to catch and drag away, allowing it to utilize the tal hooves to turn into mush.
Using its size to sweep its head from side to side in an attempt to catch , the bull covered a large amount of space with just its horns, while the presence of its four sledgehamr-esque legs maintained a strict ’no trespassing’ policy in a large radius around it.
The amount of flexibility it displayed with all sorts of kicks was terrifying, especially whenever it bucked and stood on its hind legs to try and ’punch’ repeatedly, but even with its speed and sheer size I still could outmaneuver it with ease.
My spear gave the reach I needed to keep it at a distance, and in doing so I scored those three clean hits, wounding it and providing the openings and entertainnt I needed to keep from killing it right away.
Well over eight feet tall even on all four legs, the bull was utterly massive and would definitely be enough at for like... a week in our house, though if we ’donated’ it to the people it could probably keep them fed for around two or three just on its own, and that is if we didn’t ’milk’ it for all value no matter what.
Bone broth and the like could help sustain people for another week alone, though no one would ever willing subject themselves to a diet focused around bone broth unless it was the last thing they had available...
Still the monster in front of was just absurdly valuable in so many different ways, but the main thing it was providing now was the entertainnt as I dodged another ’punch’ sent my way, keeping the bull moving so that its blood continued to pump swiftly through its veins.
Since the thing was to be bled eventually anyways, I had decided that I could still have my fun here without much issue, and for that I planned on stabbing it many, many tis and opening many, many wounds for it to bleed from.
Each ti I managed to reach through its guard and land a new hit I only shortened its tir for life by another fraction, slowly whittling away at it and having a lot of fun as the ground beneath grew slick with its blood.
With all the monsters around us being taken care of because of everyone else, I was able to have free rein with the bull, so I lunged forwards and stabbed it in its shoulder again, twisting the spear slightly and further devastating its muscles as I snapped and severed each strand of fiber that I could reach.
The pained mooing it let out was sotis pathetic considering its size, yet at the sa ti I wasn’t really judging it that badly since... well, I could only recall the tis I had been cut or stabbed, so I knew the sort of pain I was dealing to it right now.
That didn’t stop from pressing on and tornting the monster either, those pesky morals that most people are bound by not bothering whatsoever as I tortured this monster simply because it made feel good~!
With three open wounds I was causing the monster a large amount of distress as it felt more and more blood seeping out of its body, yet all it could do was try and skewer with its horns in hopes of earning itself a retreat.
Leaping away from the horns and landing on its right, I swung the spear downwards and opened a thick gash on its side, allowing more blood to flow freely right before it swung its head towards with an even louder moo.
Avoiding the horns again, I was about to go in for another stab when a red flash zipped right over towards us, coming up from behind the monster before slipping right on top of it, instantly making snarl.
The Demoness mounted on the monster’s back didn’t care about that at all though as she just plunged her serrated blades into the monster’s thick neck, killing it instantly and ruining my fun; obviously that was Satanya, and the Demoness just smirked at before dismounting the monster and dashing away, rather wisely heading off to another part of the battlefield.
Now that my prey had been stolen from without any fanfare, I reluctantly joined in on eradicating the rest of this horde so that we might return to the quiet peace we had co to love, and in doing so I began to create a ntal list of everything we should be getting from this.
All of the pelts, so of the bones and alchemical ingredients would bring us a lot of money right away, while we kept the ats and the rest of the bones to keep everyone fed and nourished for the rest of the month at the very least.
That was already an impressive list to go over since there were so many monsters here, and even with a less than generous guesstimate I was thinking we were going to be looking at sothing of a windfall for the city at large with just this...
If I was being generous we were looking at a very nice lump sum of coin to play around with imdiately, and if we could get those first orders of our own put in that weren’t going to be financed by the Clans we could have sothing special done before the month was out...
Festivals or other ’unnecessary’ things that the Clans wouldn’t pay for could be financed by us, and knowing how impactful a good ntal state could be for a laborious society ant I was quite keen on doing sothing ’unnecessary’.
Plus... I honestly thought the party had been quite fun, and if we could get so more alcohol brought over and have so trees, flowers and more planted in one of the fields maybe we could look at making so special brews of our own...
I an, with how many monsters having co our way of their own volition I was definitely thinking about luxury, though I was also having to think about defenses and welfare and the like just in case this beca a common occurrence... or if this was the first of many hordes to co our way.
