My Servant System Chapter 1542 - 1541: Around Town

The earlier ’revelation’ was why we were currently standing in the middle of my Lounge a little after noon, though thankfully we didn’t have to have all of my workers here to fully demonstrate just what it was that this Lounge was for...

Having a stage dominated by a rather obvious pole did little to not make feel embarrassed, whilst the secluded and cushioned bedrooms located just out of the main Lounge certainly weren’t doing any favors.

Both Mother and Mother Ria were alternating their gaze between and that pole, the judgent still lingering in their eyes as they just... stood there, letting describe the operations of this place so far and how lucrative it had been.

Trying to fill the silence without trailing off and succumbing to their stares was quite difficult, but sohow soway I managed to explain everything without ’giving in’, which seed to earn a bit of leeway with them since I wasn’t showing any signs of being forced into this.

I think that was a lingering fear they had ever since Cali just popped up to claim so credit for this decision of mine, and now that I was just... explaining it to them they were a little more content with everything, though the mixed emotions were still there.

All the while though Mom was just holding back a grin as she sprawled out on the couch staring straight at the pole, her eyes brimming with amusent that kept fighting to co out and cause a scene, only to be restrained since she realized it would only invite discourse between her and her wives.

Just that faint smile that kept twitching as she looked at the pole though almost provided Mother Ria enough irritation to initiate that discourse, though the talk we had steadied her hand as she just listened and kept her focus on instead of the older Demoness.

By the ti I was completely done with my explanation though neither Mother Ria nor Mom could hold themselves back anymore, and sadly it was Mom who acted first as she let her smile blossom into that arrogant, aware grin that only ever seed to hold trouble.

"Y’know Kat, if you wanted to make the stage better you should angle so softer lights towards the pole to bathe the dancer’s body. Helps emphasize the curves better than these harsher lights and makes everything feel more... relaxed and intimate."

"Chordeva, you should not be-!"

"Back when I visited a few ’Lounges’ they always had those softer lights, though the one that stood out the most was the one that paired the lighting with incense burners to really take the place up a notch. The incense smoke gathered around the stage and added another elent to the whole show that was quite unique."

Mom just grinned at before tilting her head to the side as a small zap of electricity arced towards her face, barely avoiding it and chuckling wryly as she glanced at the Elf and said "You’d look quite nice up there, Ria~! Do you do private bookings, Kat~?", earning herself another zap.

I didn’t miss the blush that crept up Mother Ria’s face nor did I fail to see how that statent gave even Mother pause as she blinked a few tis, staring at the pole and envisioning sothing I really didn’t want to think about...

Jahi didn’t want to either, so the younger Demoness gagged and shook her head at her parents before saying "That’s enough, let’s get out of here already! I don’t understand why we had to co inside to discuss all of this... blegh..."

The Elf and older Dogkin both agreed, though again I didn’t miss the hesitation in Mother Ria’s rise as she gave the pole a look before she resud pushing Mom out of the Lounge, which seed to be just what the older Demoness wanted as she let herself get moved with only a little resistance.

When we were outside everything felt a lot better, and being able to have Jahi swiftly show off the various governntal buildings, specialized buildings and then the wide open market square was quite nice since we were no longer thinking about the Lounge at all.

That was when we regrouped with Anput and her parents since they were just curiously taking in the buildings all around the market square, with Anput apparently giving sowhat acceptable answers to their questions but not answers that they were really looking for.

My mate just gave a wink and held my hand as we silently walked behind everyone else, the young Jackalkin just savoring being by my side and wearing that all too familiar smugness as she relished in the news from earlier.

The discussions about the architecture, the ease of access or incredible functionality of everything, the way the buildings flowed together or how nice it was to see everything being built not long after they left continued on and on as we just walked slowly.

A small crowd lingered around behind us everywhere we went already, but when Leone and her parents erged from the manor and ca down to walk with us that crowd grew to practically everyone in the city, which was... definitely interesting.

It made sense, obviously, but walking around and having so many people following behind us watching our every move was sothing I hadn’t experienced quite yet, so it felt... odd, though it was also quite nice because it began to feel far more personal and grounded as the Empress asked questions to the crowd and got the best responses back.

The farrs stepped up to discuss the health of the fields and the abundance of the yields, the adventurers answered questions regarding the Dungeon, all of the tailors, butchers, laborers and others all got their mont to shine in front of the Empress... it was nice, and having the people speak up directly felt right, albeit sowhat hectic.
