Forming habits could take as little as half a month or as long as half a year, and in my case I ford a few habits relatively early on during this pregnancy that would likely remain even after it passed... and would most likely return the mont I was like this again.
For one I woke up a bit earlier so that I could just... pace around in the closet, browsing the clothes I had but really just keeping my mind focused on random things that intrigued - like what I wanted to do for the remainder of the day or what I wanted to do later down the line - as I ’loosened’ up before the day started.
It was one of the few periods of ti where I could confidently and completely say that I was alone and had little worry about soone barging in and causing chaos, so because of that I was cherishing these monts as best I could.
It helped ground ntally and prepare for the challenges of operating this household day in, day out, all while I slowly got bigger and heavier and just all the more ’impaired’ thanks to my drastically decreased range of motion.
The other large habit that I had ford was just from what I was eating and how often I was eating; there was the large and heavy breakfast followed by a snack a few hours before lunch, then another snack between lunch and dinner before I finally had another snack before bed...
Not entirely healthy and definitely part of why I had gained a few extra pounds here or there when I didn’t need to, but considering there were five new lives kicking and squirming around inside of I felt I had earned the right to just overindulge a little right now, so I did.
It was during that guilty first snack break that I felt sothing was a bit... wrong, and by sothing being wrong I an my thighs were dry one mont, then they were soaked the next... followed by a sharp string of contractions in my stomach that made my vision swim as I staggered forwards.
"Kat?!"
Thankfully my wives had agreed that soone was always going to be nearby at all tis after the third month passed - not the early mornings, but every other mont they were here with - so Leone rushed forwards and steadied , looking at in concern before her eyes dropped to the puddle on the floor.
"Oh..."
"L-Leone, ’oh’ isn’t fucking helping..!"
My snarl followed by another pained gasp jolted the Vampire free from her reverie and prompted her to swiftly cast a simple healing spell before she hoisted into her arms and rushed towards the room that Kavya had demanded we prepare.
As soon as she laid onto the large bed she pulled the cord and rang a bell, causing Anput to rush over before she imdiately turned around and shouted "I’ll get Kavya and so others! Give her that potion and get her comfortable!", leaving us alone once more.
My midriff was a warzone of sharp stings and dull aches that reverberated throughout my entire body, ensuring that the main thing I felt was pain as my body began the process of labor... which was every bit as hellish as I had thought it would be.
I could feel my skin getting clammy with sweat as the waves of pain continued to slowly wash over entirely, and I was also barely able to make out what Leone was saying as she frantically moved around and got where she wanted .
My teeth were grinding together as I held back another cry of agony, and this sudden onset of contractions felt like soone was trying to get back at imdiately for whatever I had done instead of giving that buildup that people had been telling about.
Ti truly began to lose aning as I felt my insides churning at the behest of those five pups inside of , each one pushing and wiggling around inside of as they tried to find their way over to my cervix to get pushed out, and yet all they were achieving was more and more pain for as they made no progress whatsoever.
That ’enthusiasm’ was apparently ’good’ according to Lady D’Arcon, who had appeared at so point during this laborious period for , and her saintly white visage was sowhat soothing... and also very harsh on the eyes since everything was just a tad brighter thanks to both the pain and the tears pooling because of it.
Apparently them being so eager to erge ant I should have an easier ti pushing them free, and yet having all five of the little bastards being equally eager and also imnsely stubborn ant that all they were doing currently was just clumping up together and making no progress at all.
The potions and salves that were used on helped alleviate so of the pain and relax my muscles just a little in certain areas to try and further aid , but the biggest help I had - and the one that I was the most thankful for by a mile - was the leather wrapped stick that had been presented to after they noticed refusing to unclench my jaw.
Now that I had sothing to bite onto rather than my own teeth I was able to alleviate so more of the pressure that was building up slowly inside of , naly the pressure thudding inside of my skull as I trembled all over, and that... that was what was currently hurting the most.
I just laid there on that bed, chewing on that apparently indestructible stick to help preserve my tongue and my teeth while also trying to push out five eager, stubborn, idiotic and absolutely chaotic little bastards that were all trying to be the first born.
