Chapter 1073: Chapter 1074: Entering the Bloodsucking Sect
“Didn’t this brother say he wanted to jog and stretch? How did he suddenly show up? Could it be that he doesn’t want to team up with and ca up with so reason that didn’t sound offensive?”
He was very puzzled, and it left him with a knot in his heart; if Lin Yifan didn’t explain himself clearly, he wouldn’t let Lin Yifan off the hook.
Lin Yifan never expected that his actions would be noticed by soone. It seed like trouble was on the horizon.
Upon reaching the gathering point, Lin Yifan stood at the very edge of the team, calmly waiting for the “leader” to arrive.
This ti, he beca silent and reserved. If he could avoid speaking, he would, because often trouble stems from the tongue.
The “leader” soon arrived.
After taking a head count, the “leader” led the team onto a special vehicle heading to the train station.
There were about two hundred vampires in charge of escorting this batch of “goods,” which was quite a number. Considering that those present were cultivators above the Divine Transformation Third Realm, and a True Master Realm strongman was among them, it was a formidable force. Surely, no one would dare ss with this batch of “goods.”
Lin Yifan was quite relieved that the “leader” didn’t ask them to fly over; otherwise, if his martial arts and realm were exposed, it would be disastrous.
Arriving at the large train station of Eiborstin, Lin Yifan and his companions were divided into three groups, each responsible for a different protection point.
With the front and rear protection points of the train and the middle one, there were exactly three protection points.
Lin Yifan’s group was responsible for the rear of the train, so they had to reach the car at the end.
The other two groups headed to the car in the middle section and the one behind the train’s head.
Lin Yifan’s luck was a bit unfortunate because he ended up in the sa group as that brother earlier, so the journey was destined not to be peaceful.
After boarding the train, that brother walked out of the car with a heavy heart, joining Lin Yifan on the rear observation platform to inquire why Lin Yifan had deceived him earlier.
“Brother! Do you have so grievances against ?”
“No, brother, why do you say that?”
Lin Yifan was bewildered, not understanding what this brother ant. Could he have detected sothing was off?
The more he thought about it, the more scared he beca, and his guilty heart trembled even more.
“When we were heading to the gathering point earlier, why did you only use qinggong after I had gone? Isn’t that a slight against ?” the discontented vampire asked angrily.
Upon hearing this, Lin Yifan realized why the other party was fixated on him. It seed he had indeed acted inappropriately earlier and shouldn’t have arrived at the gathering point so soon.
The incident had already occurred, and regretting it now was aningless, so he could only find a reason to explain.
After thinking for a mont, Lin Yifan suddenly had an idea and replied, “I didn’t use qinggong. Earlier, I used cultivation power to run quickly, hoping to speed up my blood circulation.”
“Really? If you wanted to speed up your blood circulation, you could just use cultivation power. Why use such a primitive thod?” This vampire, who was fixated on Lin Yifan, asked curiously.
He increasingly felt that this brother was strange, as if he wasn’t the sa person.
“Because I hadn’t tried running like that in a long ti, so I wanted to do it a few tis,” Lin Yifan answered, pretending to be calm.
This reason was so unconvincing that even he didn’t believe it; how could anyone else be convinced? Yet he had to try.
“You’re quite the odd one. Are you sure you’re not slighting or dissatisfied with ?”
The vampire felt that this brother beside him was quite off but couldn’t pinpoint anything obviously wrong, so he didn’t want to waste words with him.
Why did he think this way? Because the vampire that Lin Yifan replaced was indeed a bit odd before, but recently had been much better; he didn’t expect him to revert back.
“Absolutely! Very sure! Please trust the sincerity of my words, brother!”
Lin Yifan had a hint of joy amid his determination as this brother, who had been persistent, was finally going to let go.
“Alright, perhaps I’ve been overthinking.”
After saying this, the vampire left with suspicion.
Lin Yifan let out a quiet sigh of relief, hoping this brother wouldn’t trouble him again.
The train traveled in darkness, but unfortunately, the darkness was the ti vampires were active, so Lin Yifan had to endure for a while longer.
He stood quietly on the rear platform, gazing at the deep starry sky, gradually lost in thought.
“Jiajia! I’m coming! Are you alright? You must hold on! Don’t give up easily!”
In the Bloodsucking Sect, a woman in red sleeping in a coffin had her heart suddenly beat violently, as if she sensed Lin Yifan’s distant call.
At this mont, the vampires closely monitoring in the next room imdiately reported this news to the Bishop and others.
After hearing it, the Bishop gave a slight cold smile, “Hmph! He’s finally here.”
Judging whether Lin Yifan had arrived from a heartbeat, it seed the high-ranking mbers of the Bloodsucking Sect knew Zhou Jiajia well enough to understand what would cause her heart to react like this.
On the other hand, Lin Yifan was still unaware that the vampires of the Bloodsucking Sect had already detected his arrival; it seed this rescue mission would not go smoothly.
Hours later, daylight broke.
At this point, all the vampires hung upside down from the horizontal poles on the ceiling of the carriage to sleep, Lin Yifan included.
Vampires feared the light; exposure to sunlight would deplete their energy. Therefore, unless they had necessary tasks, they would typically sleep in dark rooms during the day to conserve strength.
At this mont, all the doors and windows of the carriage were well covered. Everything in this carriage was black, even the curtains, showing that they had done their howork.
Sleeping was an excellent way to avoid awkwardness, and Lin Yifan had waited all night on the rear platform for this mont to co.
Sleeping until evening, the train seed to be approaching a stop.
Its speed was gradually decreasing, bit by bit.
Lin Yifan, who had just woken up, imdiately beca fully alert, ready to execute the rescue mission.
As ti ticked away, when the sun had completely set, the doors and windows of the carriages opened automatically, as if there was so high technology behind it.
Lin Yifan stepped out of the carriage, onto the rear platform, and surveyed the surrounding environnt.
He discovered that he had entered a mountain range surrounded by towering peaks, and the train was slowly disappearing into a pitch-black mountain tunnel, as if being swallowed by sothing.
Seconds later, the last carriage entered the tunnel, and Lin Yifan followed suit.
Before entering this tunnel, he noticed it was a “four-lane” tunnel, indicating that blood transportation was a highly busy operation, and the blood didn’t solely co from Alexander Empire but possibly other countries and regions too.
Lin Yifan had no idea how many vampires were fostered beneath this mountain range, that every month required so much fresh blood.
