"Boom!!"

This ti, Zoeiler’s face took a solid Shield Bash from Raine in his gigantified state.

More critically, the spike at the center of the Obsidian Shield struck directly on the opponent’s forehead.

"Crack!"

A dent suddenly appeared on Zoeiler’s forehead, followed by a blow from the throne dragging from the sky completely extinguishing his life.

However, as an assassin of Level 5 Classes, his Life Force was tenacious. Zoeiler stared at Raine with dead eyes, struggling to speak:

"Li...Lilith will... won’t let you go!"

After saying this, Zoeiler’s gaze gradually dimd, and he collapsed to the ground like a snake whose spine had been removed.

"Huh~~"

Seeing Zoeiler breathe his last, Raine felt a sigh of relief in his heart.

This guy was too dangerous, and Raine had no intentions of keeping him alive from the beginning.

In reality, Raine could most likely guess that even if captured alive, the opponent would definitely not reveal anything useful to him.

Thus, killing him directly was the best choice.

However, this was his first ti killing a human. It felt different compared to dealing with humanoid creatures like Gray Dwarves or Wild Boar People.

But on second thought, Raine realized, it wasn’t much different from killing those Gray Dwarves or Wild Boar People who also spoke the common language.

If they wanted to kill him, they should be prepared to have their heads smashed by him.

"Mr. Rein, are you okay?" Seeing Raine successfully kill the assassin, Miss Elise rushed over, quickly checking him over for any injuries.

"I shouldn’t be injured." Raine looked down at the nearly penetrating tear in his Chest Armor. Luckily, he reacted quickly and activated the Frost Armor Spell. Otherwise....

Raine glanced at the two daggers lying on the ground, glowing faintly, knowing they must be coated with poison.

"Captain, could this guy be colluding with the Wild Boar People? Is that why he ca to assassinate you?" Regina and others quickly ca over.

Hmm?

Suddenly, an idea struck Raine like a bolt of lightning through the clouds.

And Elise’s eyes also flashed with a glimr, seemingly realizing sothing.

Both were well aware of the assassin’s origin, connected to the previous slaying of the Gray Dwarves.

This was confird by Laisa as well.

But if Gray Dwarves were Exotic Races, then aren’t Wild Boar People the sa?

If that mysterious entity had ties with the Gray Dwarves, then having ties with the Wild Boar People seed a reasonable speculation, right?

Perhaps the Wild Boar People’s weapons were provided by them.

In fact, whether they provided them isn’t important. What’s important is that Raine might be able to utilize the Adventurer’s Association, a neutral organization spanning the Valzeg Continent, to investigate the mysterious ’Farad Manor.’

Moreover, there were many witnesses to the evening attack, including the Iron Shield Squad, who could testify.

"I’m not really sure. I can only say it’s a possibility."

"Let’s report it to the association tomorrow," Raine said in a serious tone.

"I definitely think they’re connected. Otherwise, why would such a skilled assassin want to kill the captain? It must be because the captain ruined their plans," Regina insisted.

"Yes! Regina’s analysis makes sense." At this mont, Oli from ’Iron Shield’ also stepped forward in agreent, his expression towards Raine more respectful than before.

"Mr. Rein, we’re really sorry we couldn’t help earlier." Oli slightly bowed and continued, respectfully using the honorific ’sir.’

"It’s alright." Raine smiled, waving his hand.

"Captain Raine, we’ll continue to stand guard tonight. Our squad won’t rest," Oli assured.

"Then the nightti watch will continue to be in your capable hands, Iron Shield Squad."

"Mr. Rein, it’s our duty."

Quickly, the Iron Shield Squad went off again, resuming their guard duties, while Regina and Rogue Apprentice Allison stayed behind to handle the body, and the two Warrior Apprentices comforted the occasional Oak Village villager who stepped out to check on things.

Raine and Elise returned inside with Uncle Gates.

Through the window, they could see Regina and Allison handling the body, so he wasn’t worried about them pocketing any loot.

"Uncle Gates, sorry, I broke the bed plank."

"I wanted to replace that bed plank ages ago! It’s good that it broke!" Gates laughed, "Only when it’s broken can I replace it with a new one."

"Well then, would you mind squeezing in with Miss Elise tonight?" Perhaps reminded by his wife Hayley’s previous comnt, Gates said sothing quite ’fitting.’

"No need, I’ll just make a bed on the floor." Raine glanced at the blushing Miss Priestess, smiling and waving his hand.

He also needed to sort through the events of the evening.

Apparently, the opponent wanted to settle everything in one decisive move, sending an assassin with a Classes Level as high as Level 5, yet still eting his end.

As for that mysterious organization, Raine didn’t fear them much.

Because before he beca one of the Classes, they sent Laisa, who was a Level 3. Over the last month and more, he had beco one of the Classes, gaining the Frost Blade Leopard Bloodline, the Bloodline of Counter-attacking Ice Spirit, and even today fused with the Wild Boar Shaman Bloodline.

To not exaggerate, as long as there are suitable monsters for him to kill, his strength growth rate will far surpass the speed at which the mysterious organization’s people arrive.

Of course, even if his side is fine, Reya’s side is also a big problem.

He still has to think of a way to contact Reya as soon as possible.

...

anwhile.

Far away in the study of a mansion in Dorne City, Lilith seed to have sensed sothing. Suddenly her delicate body shook, and her beautiful eyes widened as she murmured with her red lips, "Zoel is dead?"

"The target who wasn’t even a Classes mber was actually killed?"

This matter was greatly beyond Lilith’s expectations. As a Level 5 Classes assassin, Zoel had been the right-hand man of the assassination group for the past two years, and now he was dead....

Regarding Zoel’s strength, Lilith could not be clearer.

Even facing a Level 6 Classes Mage, Zoel could fight, at least, if he couldn’t win, he could still escape.

This ti, he died directly!

Instantly, the first thought that popped into Lilith’s mind was - ’There must be a conspiracy, soone is targeting her.’

Thus, the question returned to ’If her strength was weakened, who would benefit the most?’

"Aiel!" Lilith said a na with gritted teeth.

No wonder Lilith considered this, because although the Talin Association is very powerful, it has the biggest problem of complicated personnel composition, many factions, and internal fights are naturally the most common.

Of course, Lilith also considered the assassination target, Mr. Rein, which must have problems.

Not long after, a carriage left the mansion by night...

....

Oak Village.

Inside a residential house.

Uncle Gates naturally could see, Raine and Elise still had more to say, so he imdiately proposed to go back to his room to rest.

After Gates left, only Raine and Elise were left in the living room on the first floor.

"Mr. Rein, do you think Reya might have also encountered sothing..." Elise frowned slightly, sowhat worried about her best friend’s situation.

"Probably not, hasn’t Reya not responded? She should still be on the side of Moonshadow Woodland. Personally, I think this mysterious organization shouldn’t have such a great energy to assassinate on the Elves’ land." After hesitating for a mont, Raine comforted.

"Mm-hmm." Elise thought for a mont, her pretty face blossod into a smile again because, in her view, what Raine said indeed made sense.

"By the way, Mr. Rein, do you think the situation Regina ntioned is likely? That is, the mysterious organization also has contact with the Wild Boar People."

"Hard to say, but let the Adventurer’s Association investigate this."

"Yes!" Elise nodded emphatically.

At this point, footsteps sounded outside the door, only to see Regina and Rogue Apprentice Allison coming in with things.

"Captain, Miss Elise, these are the things found on this guy."

Regina said as she placed four items on the table: two dull yet extrely sharp daggers, a badge emitting a faint light, a pendant glowing blue, and a delicate waist pouch.

"Thank you for your hard work." Raine smiled at Regina.

"It’s expected. We really regret not being able to help in the previous battle, doing this small thing of counting the spoils, if it’s not done well, it would be a major dereliction."

"Captain Raine, this badge and pendant should both be Magic Equipnt; as for the function, I’m not sure."

"As for the things in the waist pouch, Allison recognized it, apart from coins and a Crystal Stone, the bottles and jars are all Advanced poisons with very strong toxicity."

Raine looked at the young man in Leather Armor beside Regina, only to see Allison nodding repeatedly, saying: "That’s right, Captain Raine."

"Lastly, about these daggers, neither of us can identify if they are Magic Equipnt, but the materials are certainly not ordinary." Regina pointed to the pair of daggers.

"Mm, thank you, you two should rest early tonight."

"Alright, Captain, Miss Elise, we’ll take our leave then." Regina and Allison slightly bowed and said.

However, he agreed with what his captain said, except he disagreed with resting early in his heart.

So much happened today, how could anyone sleep?

Regina participated in thirty-eight combat-related mission commissions, but not a single one could compare to this task, no, it’s not just about comparison, not even one could compare to half of it!

Morning cleared a large Goblin Nest, afternoon battled the Wild Boar People’s assault team, single-handedly fighting a Level 5 Classes assassin in the evening....

A Minstrel’s script?

Shit! Really freaking exciting!

Regina couldn’t help but feel that his previous ten years of adventurer life were living in vain....

"Surely, I’m not the only one feeling this way." Suddenly, Regina laughed, pondering silently.

He guessed, ’Iron Shield’ Oli should have prepared snacks and drinks, waiting for him to narrate stories about his captain.
