"Do you need to accompany you?" Aiel thought for a mont and asked.
Of course, this was just a polite gesture.
From the intelligence received, the opposing team should be a newly initiated Black Iron Level Adventurer Squad. For the Gray Dwarf Commander Thorne, they should be at a level where he could get so exercise, a warm-up.
It was far from the point where he needed to take action himself.
Moreover, he was responsible for the safety of the underground foundry.
Previously, it seems a ’little mouse’ from the intelligence departnt of the Soladin Kingdom managed to co in, likely using so special stealth technique or talent, and they haven’t been caught yet.
"Aiel, this is the Gray Dwarves’ grudge, naturally the Gray Dwarves should take care of it themselves." As expected, Thorne refused without a second thought.
Speaking, Thorne Darkfurnace, clad in silver-gray heavy plate armor and wielding a two-handed heavy hamr, walked toward a pitch-black cave entrance.
And from the shadows, three fully ard Gray Dwarf Warriors imdiately erged and followed him.
...
anwhile.
On the side of the main road leading from Azure Mine to Mill Town.
With a big bow on her back, the graceful and tall Reya was riding a warhorse snorting heavily, halted beside a large caravan, looking delightedly at the driver, Old George.
"Miss Reya?" The carriage driver Old George, naturally knew Reya who frequently rented his carriage in the past.
"Old George, that’s wonderful! Where’s Raine?" Seeing Old George, Reya was overjoyed and quickly asked.
She rushed all the way to Mill Town, went straight to the squad’s temporary base, and then hurried to the association to inquire, only to learn that Raine and Elise had gone to complete their promotion mission.
According to the Adventurer’s Association rules, details of the mission are not disclosed to non-participants.
Luckily, Reya was still the captain of the Howling Hunter Squad, and most of the staff on the first floor of Mill Town Adventurer’s Association knew Reya, so so matters were handled with leniency by the staff.
Upon finding out from acquaintances that the destination was the nearby Azure Mine, Reya imdiately decided to co.
Just as she was wondering who to ask for information at Azure Mine, she encountered Old George who had parked the carriage by the roadside, causing her joy to overflow.
"Lord Raine and Miss Elise went that way." Old George did not dare to be slow, pointing toward the direction where Raine and the others had entered the mine.
"Hmm... if the old man rembers correctly, the esteed ntioned what seed to be Thirteen Mine." Old George thought for a mont and added.
"Thirteen Mine, is it? How long have they been inside?"
"Forget it, that’s not important. Keep an eye on my horse."
Saying that, Reya jumped off the warhorse, striding swiftly and tearing through the persistent rain curtain!
...
Inside the mine.
The group was moving forward quickly, Half-Orc Karg and Wanderer Royce at the front, Loren, Raine, and Elise in the middle, while Dwarf Bruno was at the back.
"Slash!"
With an axe splitting a Kobold in half, Karg at the front spat disdainfully, and said to the miner informant, "According to you, it’s two consecutive left turns."
"We’ve already killed over a dozen Kobolds, damn it, not even a shadow of Gray Dwarves."
"Yeah." The Wanderer Royce beside him slit a Kobold’s throat and shook the blood off his dagger, saying, "You ntioned there were traces of Gray Dwarves below, but where are they?"
To an adventurer squad at the Classes Level, ordinary Kobolds posed little challenge.
Especially since Raine’s team was rare in having both a Caster and a Priest.
Half-Orc Karg charged with ferocity, and Dwarf Warrior Bruno relied on his sturdy armor, smashing through the opponents, cutting through over twenty Kobolds effortlessly.
The three Winged Kobolds were also easily shot down by Raine’s Freezing Ray and Mage Loren’s Flaming Arrow.
The whole battle ended almost in a flash.
To others, these Kobolds might seem too impoverished; apart from occasionally finding so ore in their pockets, the only slightly valuable items were their miner’s pickaxes and candles.
But to Raine, the harvest was quite decent.
Including the earlier one, he finally collected four Winged Kobold bloodlines, allowing him to see what could be fused from four Winged Kobolds.
This smooth execution imbued confidence in team mbers, including Half-Orc Karg, Dwarf Bruno, and temporary leader Wanderer Royce.
An important aspect was, from the combat performance, Raine’s special abilities as a Special Classes mber were quite surprising.
Though Royce had previously heard on the carriage to the Azure Mine of Raine’s capability of casting Ice Blade Spell, he was sowhat skeptical.
After all, most mages at Level 1 could only cast two First Level Spells; could a Special Classes at Level 1 also cast a First Level Spell? Then how would the mages survive?
Yet, the continuous Freezing Rays, both in frequency and precision, were as outstanding as Mage Loren, even though Freezing Ray was just a Trick, achieving this was almost equivalent to adding another Caster to the squad.
Which Black Iron Level Adventurer Squad could possess two Casters and a Priest simultaneously? Surely even a veteran Black Iron Level Squad couldn’t boast such luxurious lineup!
