In a certain domain of the Bottomless Abyss, there must exist a Demon Lord, and due to the chaotic and disorderly nature of the demons, once a demon believes it has the strength to challenge the lord, it will incite a riot.

Therefore, under normal circumstances, a demon lord with so intelligence would preemptively eliminate any subordinate that poses a threat.

Though the Flom Demon before us is not one of those special mutations, nor is it a mighty individual nearing lord level, an elite demon is formidable in any environnt.

Their strength is undoubtedly far superior to that of ordinary Flom Demons.

This is easily discernible from its size.

"It’s an elite Flom Demon! Miss Laisa, we..." Aaron’s eyes widened as he glanced at the elite Flom Demon, then anxiously looked at Laisa beside him.

"Don’t worry! Raine killed an elite Enchanting Demon just two days ago!" Laisa waved her hand dismissively.

"What? An Enchanting Demon?" Aaron was taken aback!

"Co on! You’re stalling, by the ti we save the people and co back, Raine might have finished fighting." Laisa urged repeatedly.

"Ah, oh, okay!" Still mulling over Laisa’s words, Aaron hastily followed in Laisa’s steps and rushed deeper into the cave.

Raine understood well the difference in strength between an elite and an ordinary demon.

For instance, the elite Enchanting Demon he previously defeated had the ’elite’ prefix.

He later reviewed related records in the association, learning that ordinary Enchanting Demons typically have a challenge level of nine, while the elite one summoned by Lilith astonishingly reached a challenge level of eleven, achieving an extraordinary level of power.

Ordinary and elite individuals cannot be equated.

The sa goes for the elite Flom Demon before him; the standard challenge level for a Flom Demon is six, but with a bit of perception, Raine judged this elite individual to be at a challenge level of nine.

A full three levels higher!

Yet this did not instill any fear or apprehension in Raine, instead, it brought delight and surprise!

While Raine was thrilled, on the other side, Red Dragon Mage Davenport was even more so!

"Haha! I actually summoned an elite Flom Demon with a challenge level of nine!" Davenport’s eyes widened, his pale and handso face couldn’t hide his smile!

Normally, with his strength, the demons he could summon would have a challenge level of around six.

But this ti, after sacrificing two drops of Red Dragon Essence Blood, he summoned this elite Flom Demon with a challenge level of nine!

Certainly not just two levels higher.

In fact, for Davenport, if the summoned demon were any stronger, even as a Red Dragon Mage of classes level ten, he might struggle to control it.

Because once a demon erges from the summoning array, it will imdiately assess and judge the summoner, and if it finds the summoner weak, it will attack, for no one likes being directed by soone else!

Especially chaotic and ruthless demons.

And this process is precisely what mages dread the most during summoning—backlash.

Now, the elite Flom Demon before him was perfectly at the threshold of his command, presenting the best scenario for Davenport.

With the elite Flom Demon as a shield upfront, he could calmly launch magic attacks from the rear.

This imbued Red Dragon Mage Davenport with a bold spirit!

A high-tier mage, relying on a summoned creature, could virtually beco a one-man team, incorporating shielding, assault, and spellcasting all together.

’Victory is mine!’

’The elite Flom Demon still has an incredibly special trick up its sleeve!’

Thinking of this, a glint flashed in Davenport’s eyes!

....

"Go! Destroy that person!"

Having successfully summoned it, Red Dragon Mage Davenport wasted no ti, pointing towards Raine and ordering the elite Flom Demon to attack imdiately.

Sensing the Red Dragon aura from the summoner, the elite Flom Demon glanced at Davenport with so reluctance before turning to Raine.

The next mont, the elite Flom Demon flapped its wide, eagle-like wings, whistling towards Raine!

As for Raine.

Seeing Davenport’s successful summoning, he planned to activate the second-stage Gigantification imdiately, to swiftly eliminate the elite Flom Demon, and subsequently deal with Red Dragon Mage Davenport, thus concluding everything.

But he suddenly noticed the fleeting gleam in Davenport’s eyes and the still operating summoning array emitting a blue eerie glow.

’Hmm? Could it be... that Davenport has a backup plan or summoning secret?’

’Regardless, I can probe a bit.’ Raine mused internally.

Then he instantly shifted his prior decision.

He planned to refrain from activating any bursts of power, rely maintaining slight pressure on the opponent, allowing them to see the hope of victory.

In doing so, if Red Dragon Mage Davenport had any trump cards, he would likely play them.

This thought coalesced in Raine’s mind almost instantaneously.

As an elite, the speed of the elite Flom Demon far surpassed that of an ordinary Flom Demon.

The next instant!

"Clang!!!"

Like a giant vulture, the elite Flom Demon, with its dark, sharp, slender, and long claws, fiercely clashed with the shield in Raine’s hand, causing a sound akin to tal striking tal!
