"I once heard of kobold clans forming so kind of mixed dwelling with jackal wolfman clans, but if you’re talking about ones that fly, I really don’t know." Chris shook his head and said.
"Judging by the size, could they be giant vampire bats?" Raine asked.
"Those giant vampire bats couldn’t possibly live with kobolds, they would just use kobolds as blood fodder." Fabian shook his head and said.
"Raine, based on your description, I think I know what they are." Reya’s pretty face turned serious as she continued, "They should be winged kobolds!"
"Winged kobolds?"
The others, including Raine, all looked at Reya.
"Yes, although they’re rare, as relatives of kobolds, they often live with regular kobolds. However, their status is above that of ordinary kobolds, mainly responsible for vigilance and combat."

And the sudden openness ahead confird what Raine had just said, it was an underground hall.
However, at this mont, instead of looking at Raine, the group tightened their grip on their weapons, ready to fight.
"Swoosh!"
A red signal flare shot out from Reya’s hand!
Imdiately, the subterranean hall was bathed in red, and the distribution of kobolds inside the hall was fully illuminated in the eyes of the Howling Hunter Squad.
Under the red glow, there were about a dozen regular kobolds holding miner’s pickaxes in the hall, and the group also spotted the three mixed-dwelling creatures Raine described at the top of the underground hall.
The creatures looked about eighty percent similar to ordinary kobolds, except for the very noticeable pair of wings on their backs.
Indeed, they were winged kobolds!
A mont of admiration for Raine flashed in everyone’s minds.
However, the thought quickly passed.
The attack comnced!
And for the kobolds.
Whether it was the winged kobolds at the top or the regular kobolds below, they instinctively turned their heads toward the sudden red light with humanoid expressions of astonishnt on their dog heads.

As a blurred arrow shot like lightning towards the top of the mining hall, a winged kobold creature fell with a scream!
The scream instantly made the remaining kobolds realize that this wasn’t a red light, but an enemy attack!
"Whoosh! Whoosh!"
Fabian and Grande also fired their crossbow bolts.
Raine and Chris charged towards the kobolds ahead.
Instantly, faced with the sudden assault from the five mbers, the kobolds in the hall descended into chaos.
"Woof hiss! Woof hiss!"
"Thud!"
A whistling sharp-headed hamr crashed down like lightning, striking the center of a panicked kobold’s head.
The kobold’s seemingly sturdy skull wasn’t much tougher than thin wood against the Armor-Piercing Strike of the sharp-headed hamr, especially since Raine used the combat skill ’Armor-Piercing Strike’ in this first blow!
Instigated, a mix of warm, foul-slling blood and so milky-white semi-liquid splattered around!
The sudden foreign object in the head nearly caused the kobold’s eyes to bulge out from its sockets....
With a single hamr strike, Raine killed the still bewildered kobold.
From this hamr strike, he also gauged the physical strength of a regular kobold.
’There’s no need for Armor-Piercing Strike. Just using the sharp head alone can pierce a kobold’s skull.’ A thought flashed rapidly through Raine’s mind.
"Bam!"
Raine landed another blow, shattering the forehead of a kobold who had just wielded a miner’s pickaxe intending to retaliate.
anwhile, Chris wiped off the blood stained on his longsword and charged toward the next kobold!
"Whew~"
Raine saw sothing suddenly fly in quickly from the side, and he imdiately raised his shield to block.
Only the sound of "Bang! Bang!" could be heard as the objects fell to the ground, revealing themselves to be stones.
He looked up to see two kobolds standing side by side, each holding a slingshot-like object with an oval center seemingly ant for placing stones.
Raine, familiar with the Basic Monster Atlas, recognized at a glance the weapon in their hands—kobolds’ favorite tool in battle, the catapult.
Facing these two stone-slinging ambushers, Raine heavily stomped his left foot on the ground!
"Oomph!"
Wearing a horned helt, clad in chain armor, and holding a tal shield with three prismatic spikes, Raine accelerated suddenly, like a rampaging bull erging from its pen, charging toward the two kobolds with a fierce whistle of wind!
"Thump!"
The kobold slightly ahead widened its eyes in terror, barely intending to dodge, but in the next second, it was struck by a tal shield as formidable as a spiked wall.
Hardly sensing the three spikes piercing its flesh, the kobold was overtaken by intense agony!
Catapulted like a cannonball, the kobold flew backwards, accompanied by the sound of bones shattering mid-air, crashing heavily against the underground hall’s rocky wall.
"Crash!"
The entire body, like a broken tofu, slid down the wall slowly.
"Buzz!"
As Raine’s left arm muscles suddenly swelled, his shield struck down sharply, accompanied by whistling wind, heavily hitting another kobold that had just taken a step back.
"Boom!!"
With a shield bash angled downward to the kobold’s face, the creature fell without uttering a sound!
Even Chris, well aware of Raine’s strength, couldn’t help but gape seeing him handle four kobolds as effortlessly as cutting vegetables within re seconds.
"Huff~~"
Blowing hot air heavily under the horned helt.
Even with the stamina from the Wild Boar Warrior bloodline, Raine needed to regulate his breath slightly and manage his burst rhythm after executing consecutive combat skills.
"Raine! Watch out!"
Suddenly, an urgent shout from Fabian ca from behind him!
