On the other side, Centurion Krom had an idea similar to Raine’s. He did not command the chase against the Blue Dragonman but instead quickly gathered the remaining warriors of the Ironfoot Legion and retreated swiftly.
...
Not long after.
The group returned to the valley.
Humbert looked up and down at his disciple Raine, his eyes full of undisguised admiration and satisfaction.
Though since their sparring match he had continually raised his expectations of his disciple’s prowess, he still underestimated him!
As for himself, he knew very well what his disciple cared most about this ti.
"Raine, rest assured! You publicly killed the Dragon Mage Lord and single-handedly turned the tide—we’ve all seen it. Your matter, once we return to the Iron Hills, Krom and I will do our best to persuade them for you."
Humbert said this while winking at Raine.
"Persuade what?" Centurion Krom blinked, sowhat confused by what his old friend Humbert was saying.
Seeing his old friend Krom’s bewildered expression, Humbert stroked his beard and said with a smile: "Raine ca to the Iron Hills this ti to repair his Warhamr, but as you know, using the Ancient Forge isn’t so easy."
"The Ancient Forge? Could it be that Raine’s Warhamr is an Epic Weapon?" Krom’s eyes widened as he pointed to the Counterattacker hanging at Raine’s waist with exclamation.
Epic Weapons are not so easily encountered; most have extraordinary origins.
At present, creating an Epic Weapon is possible only through a few master smiths and years of work, so even as a Centurion, even in the forging capital of the Iron Hills, obtaining an Epic Warhamr is virtually impossible.
"Yes, so we need your help! My old friend, the elders of the Stone-Fist clan are relying on you to persuade them. As for the elders of the Fla-Beard clan, leave them to ." Humbert patted his chest with a smile.
"Not to ask to..." Centurion Krom naturally knew he was being set up by Humbert. He originally wanted to refute sothing but seeing Raine beside him, he swallowed his words.
He grumbled instead: "Alright! So you dug a pit for here, Humbert. Rember, I agreed to this for Raine’s sake, not yours."
Upon hearing their conversation, Raine’s heart moved. He imdiately understood his ntor Humbert’s intentions.
Even if he passed Elder Grenum the blacksmith’s threshold, subsequent events might still have a small chance of encountering twists or setbacks. After all, Elder Grenum must bring this matter to the Elder Council and follow procedures.
Composed of elders from the Fla-Beard, Stone-Fist, and Wild-Hamr clans, the Mountain Dwarf Kingdom’s Elder Council, if supported by elders from two clans, would make the use of the Ancient Forge a certainty without any obstacles!
This realization made Raine overjoyed.
"ntor, Centurion Krom, thank you both for your help," Raine imdiately expressed his gratitude with a smile.
"It’s only right! Raine, you saved many of our kin, I should be the one thanking you." Centurion Krom warmly stepped forward and hamred Raine’s chest.
At this mont, hurried and heavy hoofbeats from the valley entrance were heard.
Soon, seven or eight elite dwarfs riding heavily ard Tabu Sheep appeared before the group.
"Lord Stone Guard Woron has returned!"
"Lord Woron has returned!"
Raine imdiately looked at the dwarf Transcendent at the forefront holding hamr and shield.
Earlier, it was this one who, as a surprise force, intercepted the Dragon Mage Lord in the battle formation ahead.
anwhile, the other party’s gaze also looked over.
Woron showed a joyful expression. He imdiately leapt off the Tabu Sheep and briskly walked toward Raine, inquiring: "How should I address you, sir?"
"Lord Woron, this is Humbert’s disciple, Raine."
"What? Humbert’s disciple?" Woron’s eyes widened suddenly, showing an incredulous look at Humbert, then at Raine.
Seeing Raine not shaking his head or denying, he nodded sowhat skeptically.
Indeed, this information does sound rather unusual at first.
"Mr. Rein, thank you for your actions and assistance... I will promptly apply for a Friendship dal from the Kingdom for you."
Woron expressed thanks effusively, but Raine was attracted by the last statent.
Friendship dal?
Raine’s heart moved, but he wasn’t quite sure of the dal’s purpose.
Instead, Laisa excitedly said, "Ah? Friendship dal? Great! Raine, we can take quests issued by the Mountain Dwarf Kingdom from the Adventurer’s Association in the future."
Laisa followed her tribe from the southernmost part of the continent’s Deep Sand Plain in their migration. The remaining Sand Race desperately wished to find a foothold, and Laisa was no exception, so she paid considerable attention and had a good understanding of proofs representing recognition by various kingdoms like the Friendship dal.
"What do you an?"
"In simple terms, it’s like this: The Adventurer’s Association and various kingdoms and major forces have agreents. If the association posts official tasks, the targets are restricted, mostly open only to adventurers from the country or allied parties."
With Laisa saying so, Raine imdiately understood.
