Besides, it’s not like Shen Sui won’t ever encounter them; once he enters top-tier matches, he’s bound to face these two top dostic Life Card Masters sooner or later. Why not stay around and see how their card sets have evolved?
So Shen Sui sat down with Xinyuan Tanchun.
The national competition’s venue is packed, with passionate audience mbers making the atmosphere exceedingly lively.
The majority aren’t here solely for the finals of the national competition, or rather, not completely.
The exhibition match between Tan Song and An Hai is a key highlight attracting their attention.
The fans of these two ninth-tier Life Card Masters fervently support their respective contestants, instantly heating up the atmosphere far more than during Shen Sui’s duel.
"They’re really popular, aren’t they!" Xinyuan Tanchun waved a light stick around.
"What’s that?" Shen Sui asked suspiciously.
"It’s An Hai’s light stick." Xinyuan Tanchun said, her cheeks flush with excitent.
Shen Sui asked curiously, "You’re a fan of An Hai?"
"Yes!" Xinyuan Tanchun exclaid excitedly.
Shen Sui found it strange; this person had interacted with An Hai before but didn’t show any special reaction.
He glanced down and saw Tan Song’s light stick by Xinyuan Tanchun’s foot.
"What’s this then?"
"It’s Tan Song’s light stick." Xinyuan Tanchun said, her face expressionless as she spoke.
"You’re also a fan of Tan Song?"
"Yes, indeed."
Shen Sui said speechlessly, "When you t You Wenqi, you claid to be a fan of You Wenqi..."
"Is there a conflict?" Xinyuan Tanchun, puffing her cheeks in apparent annoyance at Shen Sui’s skepticism, said, "So what if I’m a fan of champions?"
"Well... I get the idea..."
Shen Sui initially joked about You Wenqi and An Hai being champions.
In so extre forums dedicated to Life Card Masters dostically, similar dialogues exist, akin to previous views that a dostic champion isn’t a true champion unless they’re a world champion.
If that were to be the case, among this circle of ninth-tier Life Card Masters Xinyuan Tanchun interacted with, only Tan Song has a world championship.
But co to think of it, such remarks are overly aggressive and he didn’t really intend to offend these familiar faces. He just wanted to play a joke, realized it wasn’t necessary, and held back his comnts.
"Hehe. No more words left, right? As long as soone can beco a champion, there’s always sothing to learn from them. Using the strong as models helps drive progress for oneself." Xinyuan Tanchun declared, clenching her fist.
While speaking, the situation on the field had reversed itself.
Tan Song achieved a turnaround using a face-down card, successfully gaining the advantage in the duel.
Xinyuan Tanchun swiftly lowered An Hai’s light stick and raised Tan Song’s light stick...
Shen Sui watched Xinyuan Tanchun’s performance, the corner of his mouth twitching. He didn’t know what to say.
He refocused his attention on the arena.
The card sets used by An Hai and Tan Song hadn’t actually changed much; one set of Sword Immortal Cards, one set of Beast Taming Cards, played out vigorously back and forth.
Tan Song was in great form; Shen Sui thought that had he faced Tan Song at that point in ti, he probably wouldn’t have seen Tan Song surrendering.
Yet even so, Tan Song remained firmly suppressed by An Hai; despite recently achieving a reversal, An Hai quickly regained control.
An Hai was expressionless, icy as though the opposing person owed him millions.
With soaring emotions, An Hai seed divinely blessed, giving no room for Tan Song, continuously launching attacks.
But even so, Tan Song held on until the eighth round, aptly demonstrating his strength.
"This exhibition match is far more entertaining than dostic Class A match finals." Xinyuan Tanchun was evidently stirred by the duel, and even after the exhibition ended, she hadn’t cald down, "If these match finals were as captivating as this exhibition match, far fewer spectators would turn away."
"In reality, despite a portion of the audience being lost, dostic viewer numbers still enable the finals to be packed full." Shen Sui stated, as a matter of fact.
He actually had another question lingering in his mind.
An Hai seed unusually emotional tonight, sowhat angry.
Who on earth had upset An Hai? After all, he’d been comntating all evening without interacting with anyone else.
Shen Sui was quite puzzled, but after giving it so thought, he realized it had no connection to himself, and he’d better pack his bags and head ho.
The environnt here was too unpleasant, and he couldn’t bear to stay another mont.
Of course, before leaving, Shen Sui made ti to et with Vivian discreetly.
"You’re heading to another world again?" Shen Sui frowned; he hoped Vivian would stay in the real world, even if all he faced was Vivian’s Candlelight Illusion, "What’s going on now?"
"Just tidying up so final tasks." Vivian was in pajamas, "Soon, I should be heading to Modu to see you. By the way, how’s your investigation on World No. 8?"
Shen Sui relayed his conjectures briefly.
Vivian chuckled as she listened, covering her mouth, "Does that an you have a daughter in World No. 8?"
"What daughter!" Shen Sui said, sweating, "There’s no blood relationship."
And Alice doesn’t have a blood relation with you, yet you treat her like a daughter.
Vivian silently remarked.
"Besides, that’s just a campaign ga set-up," Shen Sui said. "I didn’t create World No. 8, so whether Finist even exists is uncertain, and if they do exist, whether it’s in the past, present, or future is also unknown."
