The resurrection ritual of the Blood Altar requires nine altars to be completed.
Compared to the recovery of other gods, the recovery requirents of the ancestor are quite low. Although nine Blood Altars require imnse manpower and resources, and need to be completed under Isabella’s nose, at least there’s no requirent for the number of followers and no need to sacrifice followers’ lives, which is surprisingly humane.
Shen Sui thought of this imdiately when Xinyuan Tanchun ntioned that soone on the Blood Race side was conducting the resurrection ritual of the ancestor, causing Isabella a headache.
That’s why he planned to personally visit the Dawn Continent.
He didn’t intend to stop any resurrection ritual, after all, these Blood Altars can be placed anywhere on the continent, and have concealed arrays for hiding, making them very troubleso to find. Besides, if the other party isn’t stupid, they would surely leave many false altars for confusion.
As long as one true altar survives, the resurrection ritual can continue; it just ans the strength of the resurrected ancestor will be sowhat different.
Shen Sui didn’t have ti to waste on such matters, so he planned to simply and openly wait for the ancestor to recover and then blow him up, once and for all.
Once the ancestor is converted into a Follower Card, Isabella no longer needs to worry about the ancestor’s recovery.
Alice is certainly mischievous, but she has her own judgnts about things.
She didn’t think she had done anything wrong, quickly restoring her confident deanor.
Shen Sui thought for a mont and explained Isabella’s predicant and the significance of these altars to Alice.
Alice’s eyes widened imdiately: "Huh? These are for resurrecting the Vampire Ancestor?"
She wasn’t a novice mage anymore; she had heard of the reputation of the Vampire Ancestor.
"I heard it was terrifying," Alice hesitated, "If we really revive it, won’t it co looking for trouble with ?"
"Uh, I think, it must still be alive."
"Oh, right! As long as it dies, all problems are solved!" Alice found this quite reasonable.
"Let’s go to the next altar!" Thinking that this could help Isabella, Alice beca filled with vigor.
"Speaking of that, how did you precisely find those seven altars?" Shen Sui was curious.
Although the altars Alice destroyed might not be real, her efficiency in destroying seven altars in just a few days was truly scary.
Alice blinked: "I didn’t go looking."
As soon as she spoke, she felt a sudden loosening under her feet.
"Hey, hey, hey!! Are you out of energy again, Lingyi!!!" Alice exclaid in surprise.
"I’m sleepy," Lingyi’s voice sounded sowhat muffled.
"How embarrassing! You’re so embarrassing!!!" Alice skillfully crouched down, gripping the magic ring around Lingyi’s neck tightly, "You’ve fallen so many tis already! Can’t you give so warning first? Even a fool should have gained experience after falling so many tis!"
???
Shen Sui watched Alice’s seamless ergency avoidance maneuver and was instantly filled with confusion.
And then, in the next second, he saw the clouds around him rapidly rise, the surrounding things turning into straight upward lines.
"Glide! Lingyi! Glide! Aaaaah! How did you pass out from hunger again? Didn’t you just eat so many Demon Crystals?!!!"
Lingyi’s head faced downward, and she started diving towards the ground.
Even the rapidly descending wind noise couldn’t cover Alice’s screams.
Boom!
Accompanied by a violent tremor and rising dust, Lingyi crashed heavily to the ground.
Lingyi, crashing again!
"I’m never flying with you again!" Alice swiftly jumped off Lingyi, clearly having learned how to handle such ergencies after nurous incidents, always managing to keep herself alert.
Shen Sui watched this, completely stunned.
Has Alice ever landed normally when riding Lingyi?
Shen Sui carefully recalled, most of his mories were of Lingyi crashing.
A burst of radiance emitted from Lingyi’s body, and accompanied by the light, her form returned to that of a small human.
Her skin was tough, so dropping from a great height didn’t harm her at all, and this fall actually woke her up.
"So sleepy." Lingyi grabbed Alice’s clothes with one hand and rubbed her eyes with the other.
Shen Sui suddenly felt that perhaps it wasn’t Lingyi’s fault.
In the past few days, Alice was mostly being pursued by the Blood Race, and Lingyi’s strength was insufficient to support her for days and nights of flying in the sky. Fatigue-induced drowsiness leading to accidents was understandable.
"Sigh." Alice sighed, she could understand Lingyi’s current state, "Let’s find a place to rest for a bit... huh?"
Alice hadn’t finished speaking when she suddenly felt sothing wrong; why was the ground so sticky?
Looking down, she saw bright red liquid already flowing all over the ground.
Looking ahead, a blood pool had been damaged under Lingyi’s crashing impact, with countless blood flowing out of the pool.
Shen Sui had already noticed the strangeness ahead. After a slight discomfort, he recalled what was in front of him based on mory.
"You see... I don’t even need to search..." Alice pointed forward and said, "I don’t even need to make a move... every ti Lingyi falls asleep and crashes, she consistently crashes near the altars. Sotis just the shock wave from the crash is enough to destroy their altars."
