[Alice implanted a Miniature Parasite Puppet in him.]
[Under the influence of the Miniature Parasite Puppet, he began to list his sins.]
[However, he didn’t feel that he had any sins to recount.]
[Although he had led the killing of tens of thousands of civilians, they were all heretics. According to the teachings of the Gods, these were not people, nor were they sins.]
[He did take the virginity of many boys, but that was so they could hear the call of the Lord, and he had no choice but to sacrifice himself.]
[Seizing land? Those lands never belonged to the farrs; they were gifts from the Gods. As an emissary of the Gods, he had the right to reclaim those lands.]
[....]
[Alice was dumbfounded. She originally thought that, under the influence of the Parasite Puppet, this person would commit suicide out of guilt for his sins. Instead, this guy recounted countless "glorious" deeds, yet never thought he was wrong or sinful.]
[Alice sighed, and ended his life with a fireball.]
[Damn it, I was hoping to conduct a dashing judgnt and then execute a handso punishnt from the moral high ground.]
[Alice felt she had underestimated the shalessness of these people, as if once they believed in the Gods, all their misdeeds were up for debate and all their improprieties could be forgiven.]
[I won’t do this anymore in the future, just kill them directly.]
[Alice murmured in her heart.]
[Alice asked you for the location of the Thousand-Year Mine.]
Shen Sui relied on mory to give a general direction.
"Is Alice at the Ice Lake now?" Freymia yawned, holding breakfast, and sat down next to Shen Sui.
"Yes, how did you know?" When Alice entered the Northern Lands’ Snow Realm, Freymia wasn’t beside Shen Sui.
Fremia skillfully picked up noodles with chopsticks and said, "She asked Aina about so things, and Aina told . So, how is Alice now? Does she need our help?"
Only then did Shen Sui recall that Alice indeed sought out Aina after waking from a dream.
They mainly discussed purchasing food. Although the Elf Race had freed themselves from the Goddess of Nature, their love for nature was genuine.
However, the Elf Race mostly cultivated various magic potions and ornantal plants, with food primarily being fruits, supplented by various magical beast ats; they hadn’t made large-scale staples cultivation.
Then the two chatted casually, and Alice also ntioned her recent whereabouts.
"She’s already wreaking havoc on the Ice Lake." Shen Sui glanced at the Dueling Device, noticing that Alice had ambushed another squad of three with such speed that she gave the enemy no chance.
A ninth-level mage is already considered powerful on the Dawn Continent, and Alice always fights over great distances using various miniature puppets, rendering her opponents defenseless.
"Wow, is Alice really that powerful now?" Freymia curiously leaned over for a look, just in ti to see the segnt where Alice was wreaking havoc on the Ice Lake, "Those dispatched to the Ice Lake for missions are all formidable opponents."
"She is already a ninth-level mage and not to be underestimated," Shen Sui said proudly. "Of course, accomplishing this with such ease must involve so abnormal ans."
"Abnormal ans," Freymia chuckled, "seem quite like the ones you used to teach."
"Uh..."
Shen Sui had no counterargunt. Once he beca invincible at later stages, he charged in head-on, but during early-stage leveling, he resorted to all ans, including poisoning, arson, and sowing discord, employing many abnormal thods for rapid leveling.
These tactics in a ga were understandable since buying the ga ant he could play as he wished.
But when his in-ga actions occurred in the real world, they appeared quite controversial.
Alice’s current rapid assault tactic involved poisonous suicide advances through miniature puppets; the poisons Shen Sui left behind were potent enough to heavily impact even the strongest opponents.
Initially, Alice would search the bodies for supplies, but she later abandoned this ti-consuming practice, simply carving a path forward quickly.
On the open expanse of the Ice Lake, unless enemies ahead were swiftly cleared, Alice would be detected the mont she showed herself.
Under such circumstances, unless forces were matched, the opponents would certainly act first to eliminate Alice.
Alice adopted this aggressive advance thod because five or six squads had ambushed her under similar conditions.
The opponents gave her no chance for deceit and attacked at first sight, with mortal intent clearly showing that sothing had transpired on the Ice Lake before.
Suspecting such, Alice beca more cautious, inching her way toward the Thousand-Year Mine.
The deeper she went, the stronger the enemies she encountered beca.
Finally, through the miniature puppet’s perspective, she saw a squad from the Daylight Church.
The leading Knight of Daylight was soone she recognized from Elm City, who had accompanied Aivia and Oshana, a strong knight seemingly nad Laudon.
Alice hesitated slightly.
Laudon supposedly had a good relationship with Oshana, having taught her many useful skills, Oshana said.
In that mont of hesitation, Laudon detected scanning from above.
A duel with a strong opponent ant fleeting chances.
"Who?" Laudon imdiately drew his sword, signaling his n to stay alert.
To Laudon, Alice appeared as a small black dot at the edge of his vision.
However, a powerful Knight of Daylight should never be underestimated.
A single stomp sent Laudon shadowing ahead, appearing instantly before Alice.
His sword raised, but upon seeing Alice’s face, he paused, halting his attack forcefully.
"Miss Alice?" Laudon asked, surprised, "What are you doing here?"
Alice, initially considering escape, hadn’t anticipated Laudon’s swift response, nor his rapid attack.
"I heard there’s a treasure chest of the Twilight Bishop near here, so I ca to join the fun," Alice replied awkwardly.
Laudon was puzzled, "The Church has sealed the Ice Lake entrance; how did Miss Alice get in?"
"I entered earlier," Alice lied, "but got lost on the Ice Lake. You know, this place looks the sa everywhere."
Would Laudon believe Alice’s lie?
Of course not.
But Alice was valued by Saintess Aivia and was also a friend of the Price Clan’s eldest daughter, Oshana, so Laudon wisely chose to ignore it.
"It’s very dangerous here now," Laudon said seriously, "People of uncertain origins are everywhere, and they’re all here for the Twilight Bishop’s treasure chest."
In truth, saying they’re here for the treasure chest isn’t accurate.
If not for the Giant’s Crown, none would seek a treasure chest on the Ice Lake; Twilight Bishop’s treasure chests are everywhere and not lacking by one.
Previously, even if people knew a treasure chest contained a Giant’s Crown, they wouldn’t have thought of the Ice Lake, for a thousand years’ impressions defined the Twilight Bishop’s treasure chests as unopenable.
However, with precedent set by the Elm City chest being opened, many started thinking: if they could open it, why can’t I?
Seeing Alice, seemingly weak and pitiful, Laudon sighed and said, "Returning alone is too dangerous for you; why don’t you co with ? Although I’m not particularly strong, I can certainly protect you."
