But it’s alright, the Parasite Puppet nicely compensates for the lack of strong Followers in the Puppet Card Set. When you’re short on strong Followers, snatching the opponent’s Followers is quite a good strategy too.
Switching card sets is always a hassle.
Especially in a world without any howork to copy; everything has to be tested through your own experintation.
After Shen Sui improvised a pure Puppet Card Set based on his own ideas, he pulled aside the only person with a deck, Freymia, to test it.
A few rounds later...
"Where’s the promised pure Puppet Card Set?!" Freymia pouted, not happy at all.
Then she was defeated by Qishala.
"Of course, Soul Cards don’t count. Can you say that aside from Soul Cards, all of my Follower Cards are Puppets?" Shen Sui declared self-righteously.
Freymia couldn’t help but roll her eyes.
"Speaking of which, haven’t you tried it out yet?" Although he won, the effect didn’t et Shen Sui’s expectations. It looks like Alice will have to make an effort to strengthen this deck set. While tidying up his deck, Shen Sui asked curiously.
"Try what?" Freymia was puzzled.
Shen Sui reminded her: "Didn’t you say you wanted to try and see if you could draw your own Follower Card from Aina?"
Freymia had seriously proposed this plan to Shen Sui before.
She had long wanted to try summoning herself in a duel.
Shen Sui actually had a similar idea—though his goal was to create a deck featuring himself and his harem.
Since Freymia had similar ideas, he was all for it.
When it ca to this, Freymia got a bit upset. "Well, I did manage to draw it, but..."
Seeing Freymia’s expression, Shen Sui beca even more curious.
But Freymia refused to show Shen Sui the card she drew of herself.
Shen Sui wouldn’t let her off easily; he cornered her with a wall slam.
Seeing Shen Sui so close, Freymia, unusually shy, turned her face away and whispered, "You can look... but don’t laugh at ..."

Shen Sui flicked Freymia’s forehead with his hand, Freymia, already pinned against the wall by Shen Sui, couldn’t avoid it; she held her forehead with a cute, pitiful expression: "Why flick ?"
"This thod, soone has already tried." Shen Sui said with a smile, "So don’t get your hopes up. A deck cannot contain an Origin Card."
In fact, it’s not just Follower Cards. Shen Sui later found out that Spell Cards also couldn’t include Origin Cards. After that, he gave up on having others draw identical Spell Cards for him.
When a group gets large enough, many of your ideas have probably already been tried by soone else.
Just like writing online fiction, what you thought was a genius idea might have already been written by soone else before you.

"Oh crap, I forgot." Creating a deck and testing it was so fast, Shen Sui forgot Alice was still on the Ice Lake.

She was genuinely sowhat fond of Alice, thinking of her as a daughter.

Freymia looked at Shen Sui’s cryptic expression and curiously asked, "What’s up?"
"Well... nothing much," Shen Sui took a deep breath and smiled, "Just that she blew up the Thousand-Year Mine."
