Jared Quinn’s face darkened, "...Whose son is he, really!"
"If you hadn’t bullied her and made her eat so many crabs, she wouldn’t have a stomachache," Timmy snorted.
"Ahem," Dr. Mo interjected, "Madam’s body is cold-natured; things like crabs really aren’t suitable in large amounts. How about I make a list of things to avoid..."
Before Dr. Mo could finish his sentence, the man sitting at the edge of the hospital bed suddenly stood up and strode out with an unpleasant expression.
Dr. Mo shrugged and left as well. Upon entering his office, the man inside tossed him a pen and paper, saying in a low voice, "Write!"
Dr. Mo: "..."
Why the arrogance?
When they returned to the hospital room, Timmy and lody Thorne had already finished their breakfast.
"Bitter dicine," Timmy grimaced, eyeing the dicine in her hand with disdain, "It must be really bitter."
lody Thorne chuckled softly and ruffled his hair.
Timmy wanted to resist; he didn’t like anyone touching his hair or head, but he held back. He acted very obediently in front of lody Thorne and had already beco accustod to her touch.
After all, she had even bathed him before.
"I’m not afraid," lody Thorne said, putting all the dicine in her mouth and swallowing it down with water.
Timmy wasn’t afraid of anything, except dicine. Watching others take it made him feel it was terrifying too.
"Isn’t it bitter? I have so candy," Timmy took out a piece of candy.
"Tsk tsk, Timmy is truly gifted," Dr. Mo comnted with a couple of clicks of his tongue.
"What do you an?" Jared Quinn narrowed his eyes with a mysterious glint.
"Taking care of the girls."
"..."
"lody~ have so water."
"lody~ let rub your tummy."
"lody~ I’m a bit sleepy. Shall we sleep for a while together?"
"..."
Jared Quinn strode over and picked up his son, "Sleep then."
Timmy: "...I want to lie down and sleep together with lody; it’s uncomfortable to sleep in your arms."
"Shut up."
lody Thorne rembered Ivy’s plea yesterday when she saw Jared Quinn, and she wondered if he was at the hospital instead of helping Ivy.
Or had he already sent soone there?
Caleb should have gone to the company by now. It was finally the Adelers’ turn to be unlucky.
No, she had to go and see.
"Timmy, didn’t you say you wanted to have toast from that place on West Street?" lody Thorne lifted the blanket from herself, "Let’s go."
"Stay here," Jared Quinn grabbed her by the arm.
"I want to go back!" lody Thorne glared at the man in front of her.
"Ahem," Dr. Mo coughed twice as a silent reminder — be gentle, especially with won...
Jared Quinn’s ruby-red lips ford into a straight line.
...
At Adler Corporation.
Everything was in progress with precision; the company rules had all been changed overnight, and most of the employees had been replaced. No one would have thought that the fool who was looked down upon just days ago now had the power to overhaul the Adler Corporation completely.
The president’s office was also thoroughly cleaned out.
"What are you doing? What are you doing?" Ivy scread, trying to stop the employees from throwing their belongings out the door. "My father is not down yet; he’s still an executive of this company. Caleb does not have the right to do this!"
The employees pushed Ivy aside and tossed the packed items outside the company entrance, casting a disdainful look at her, "You still think this company is yours, huh? It belongs to Young Master Caleb. You Adelers have occupied it for so long. Wake up, and get lost quickly."
"No, it’s not his; it’s the Adlers’!" Ivy scread madly.
