"Shut up!" lody Thorne aid the whip in her hand at Finn Thorne on the sofa. "He’s not your brother-in-law, stop calling him that from now on."
Finn Thorne glanced at lody Thorne and then at Hans Montrose, his gaze steady. "Sis, you’re not thinking of eloping with Hans, are you? You can’t do that. With my brother-in-law’s temper, he’ll definitely kill to silence."
lody Thorne sneered, "...Why would we tie you up if we were eloping?"
"To be a scapegoat."
lody Thorne "..."
"Alright, it’s serious." lody Thorne suppressed her smile and said, "Are you familiar with the people around Felix Chandler?"
"Felix Chandler? That rich guy?"
"Exactly."
"Not very familiar, but we’ve had our disagreents. However, I’m pretty close with a few of his guys. Sis, why are you asking about him?" Finn Thorne asked.
"Get those guys to keep an eye on his movents for the next few days, and make sure to tell the places he frequents."
Though she wasn’t in a hurry to force Ivy out, she needed to keep track of her movents.
"Alright, no problem." Finn Thorne made a call to have soone watch him. "Can I go now?"
"No, you stay here and make sure you head back to school tomorrow." lody Thorne spoke expressionlessly.
"Sis, I really have sothing to do." Finn Thorne’s expression changed slightly.
"You call that sothing?" If this continued, he’d end up plucking all the flowers in Stellaria.

"You two stay put here, call if anything cos up. I have a eting to attend." Hans Montrose stood up. "Rember, don’t go out."
"Okay."
"Beep beep," the watch on lody Thorne’s hand sounded. It was a parent-child watch she bought for Timmy a few days ago, which could make calls.
She glanced down. If Timmy couldn’t see her, he probably wouldn’t be able to sleep. Would he be worried about her?
"Timmy," she pressed the answer button.
"lody~ where are you? Why aren’t you back yet?" Timmy’s soft and sweet voice carried a hint of reliance.
lody Thorne felt a bit soft-hearted. "Timmy, I’m a bit busy today, I might not co back tonight. You need to listen to the butler and go to bed early, okay?"
"Why aren’t you coming back?"
"Hmm...I’m very busy, I’m pulling an all-nighter, so I won’t return today. Be good, Timmy, and go to bed early."

Is he mad? lody Thorne put the watch away.

There was a sudden screech of brakes from downstairs, and the car lights montarily illuminated the window before extinguishing with a sharp aura.
Back so soon? lody Thorne looked towards the door.
"Knock knock," the sound of knocking on the door ca.
Only a few seconds had passed.
"Sis, open the door," Finn Thorne urged, his eyes gleaming with a bit of excitent.
lody Thorne stood up, puzzled, and peered through the peephole at the door. The person outside was tall, and all she could see was a white shirt and the faint outline of well-defined muscles underneath...
A chill wafted through the air.
The na Jared Quinn surfaced in her mind.
"Knock knock," the knocking grew louder, the patience worn thin.
Fearing Hans Montrose might return at this mont and run into Jared Quinn, lody Thorne unlocked the door and stepped back.
Outside, a tall and imposing figure swiftly entered. A large hand circled her waist, pinning her against the wall, and his dark eyes seethed with fury...
"Brother-in-law," Finn Thorne imdiately ran over. "Rest assured, since my sister has been here, I’ve kept an eye on her. Nothing happened between them, I’m absolutely loyal to you."
