"This..." The butler glanced at the man beside him and changed his mind, saying, "Young master, the young mistress has a cold constitution, her body is very weak, if she doesn’t have breakfast..."
"Click." Jared had already opened the bedroom door, striding to the bedside and pulling the woman sitting on the bed playing with a computer into his arms. In a deep voice, he asked, "Have you thought it through? Have you thought through who your man is?"
lody Thorne found it laughable, "A man is supposed to protect a woman at critical monts, are you one?"
"Are you blaming for not saving you when you were in trouble yesterday?" Jared’s arm encircled her, his deep eyes revealing a chilling coldness, with an unclear aning.
"Oh," lody Thorne chuckled lightly, "How could that be?"
"What exactly do you want?" Jared grasped her chin, his cold eyes fixed on her, asking word by word, "If you want, I can give it to you."
She wanted protection, so he would protect her, as long as she behaved, no one could do anything to her.
"Is that so?" lody Thorne curled her lips, her delicate white hand pulling on his tie, "You saw it, didn’t you? The war between Ivy and has begun. Whether you intervene or not, she’s dead this ti. I won’t let her go, but I need more favorable evidence to ensure the Adler Family can never recover, to drive her out of Stellaria. Are you going to help ?"
Jared moved a bit closer to her, his deep and cold eyes clouded with heavy ink, making it hard to discern, "Do you care a lot about her existence?"
Every ti this woman ntioned Ivy, her emotions beca particularly agitated. Was this what Dr. Liang referred to as love turning into hate? Because she loved him and couldn’t get him, she transferred it to another person, including hatred and emotion.
"Yes, I care a lot. Between her and , it’s an endless struggle, so you better think carefully about whether you want to help the woman who once saved you or the woman you’ve always hated!" She mocked herself with a smile, her squinted eyes like a witch’s, purposely emphasizing the words "the woman who once saved you."
Jared’s handso brows furrowed slightly but quickly disappeared. He kissed her lips, tightening his arms, "As long as you behave and stay with the Quinn Family, you can do whatever you want."
He could tolerate anything she did, including all the trouble she caused outside; he could solve them one by one, but the premise was that she had to learn to depend on him.
So, did she win over Ivy once because he was physically attached to her?
"Including that I want that woman’s life?"
"As you please," he pressed her down.
"I’m hungry," lody Thorne spoke, as if a basin of cold water splashed onto Jared.
"Stay with a while," Jared’s face darkened, not wanting to let her go. He could agree to all her demands, but that didn’t an he wanted nothing.
Downstairs.
George Adler had been waiting in the hall for more than an hour when he finally saw the man co downstairs, his tall and imposing figure exuding noble charm.
"Mr. Quinn," George Adler quickly wiped his tears and began to complain, "I’m sorry to disturb you today, but that girl Ivy was hard by lody Thorne’s malicious scheming, causing her to fall into the water and go missing, her fate unknown. I want to know if she returned to the Quinn Family? I know Mr. Quinn has always disdained that woman, could you hand her over to our Adler Family for disposal?"
