When lody Thorne ca to her senses, she was lying on Jared Quinn’s lap with her feet hanging outside, the wind rushing past her ears, while the man beneath her drove calmly as if nothing had happened.
"Ah!" lody Thorne scread at the sight of Jared Quinn’s perfect and rugged features, "Jared Quinn, what are you doing? My luggage, my luggage is still behind!"
She was taken away, but her luggage remained, containing all her belongings.
"Screech!" The tires rubbed against the ground, picking up speed, racing down the road, as if showing off his driving skills, constantly changing lanes, drifting, and occasionally even lifting the rear tires.
lody Thorne tightly wrapped her arms around the man’s neck, fearing that a slip would fling her out of the car with each extre drift.
"Jared Quinn, stop the car, stop the car!" lody Thorne scread out.
Jared Quinn’s eyes, recently washed with fury, showed no emotion. He glanced down at her panicked and slightly fearful expression and sneered coldly, "You can be afraid too."
lody Thorne felt like jumping out of the car and scread, "Yes, I’m afraid of dying! I’m terrified! I’m scared of dying with you in an endless entanglent."
The warmth in Jared Quinn’s dark eyes plumted, and he stepped on the accelerator, making the sports car almost leave the ground entirely.
"Ah!" lody Thorne thought she was going to be thrown out, her first instinct was to cling tighter to the man’s neck, curling her body, her head instinctively pressing into his chest.
Like grabbing hold of the only thing she could rely on, as if about to fall into the abyss of death.
A haughty laugh sounded above her head, a big hand embraced her back, pitying her like a fragile animal, "lody Thorne, as long as you behave, I promise you’ll get everything you want. No matter what trouble you cause, I can shoulder it for you. But if you try to run, I will make sure you die faster."
A sudden surge was burning in lody Thorne’s chest, growing fiercer.
"I don’t care for you bearing it for , and I’m not your pet dog. Stop the car, stop the car, Jared Quinn, stop the car." lody Thorne’s hands slapped Jared Quinn’s chest chaotically, each hit heavier than the last.
"Ugh..." Jared Quinn groaned, stepping on the brake, feeling faint pain from previous injuries and the fruit knife wound on his chest.
The car stopped, and lody Thorne’s hand finally moved away from his chest.
Above her, his face was clouded over.
"Get out," the deep magnetic voice carried a chilling wind.
lody Thorne’s hand paused, rembering the butler’s words - Jared Quinn’s chest had injuries...

lody Thorne swallowed, glanced at his chest, then opened the door and got out.
The car sped past her, leaving no warmth behind.
lody Thorne felt a bit dazed. Was she too excessive?
The phone rang, and lody Thorne took out her mobile from her bag, "Hello?"
"Little one, where are you?" Hans Montrose’s voice ca through.
lody Thorne"...I’m on the highway."
Jared Quinn’s car was halfway down the road, his head lowered to look at his chest, where red blood spots were appearing.
It seed the stitches had unraveled again.
At Quinn Villa, Jared Quinn tossed the car keys onto the table and quickly went into the study to tend to his wounds.
"Young master, Mrs. Thorne’s luggage has been brought back," the butler said as he carried lody Thorne’s luggage in from outside.
