He trembled as he looked toward the bedroom door; a tall and upright figure was standing there, having clearly heard Timmy’s words just now, with burning anger coursing through his entire body, nowhere to vent it.
"No...it’s not like that," the butler imdiately ca out to smooth things over, "The madam’s new movie is starting to shoot, so she will stay abroad for a few days and then co back. In fact, the young madam loves the young master very much, and also loves you, little master."
"Really?" Timmy raised an indifferent eyebrow.
But why did he feel like both he and his dad had been abandoned?
"Dad," Timmy got out of bed, looking up at the man towering over him, their faces equally cold, "You don’t want her to leave either, do you?"
"Who told you that?" Jared Quinn let out a cold snort.
"Can you call her? Ask when she’s coming back, I miss her," Timmy rarely acted spoiled, especially not around Jared Quinn.
"You’re the one who misses her," Jared Quinn’s expression was extrely cold, yet he had already taken out his phone and dialed a number.
The phone rang for a long ti with no answer. He called three tis, but still, no one picked up, and the man’s face grew increasingly stern and unpleasant.
lody Thorne saw the call coming in, but rembering the woman from the morning and her luggage, she didn’t want to deal with that arrogant and conceited man.
So she just watched the phone ring without answering.
Finally, the phone stopped ringing and didn’t call again. lody Thorne feared Timmy might miss her, so she sent a ssage to Timmy’s smartwatch: "Timmy darling, go back to the bedroom, shall we video chat?"
Timmy, feeling down, suddenly brightened up at lody’s ssage and was about to close the door.
But the door didn’t close; Jared Quinn had already caught Timmy’s wrist in a swift motion.
lody Thorne thought Timmy had returned to the bedroom, so she sent a video call. She had just finished showering and, not having brought any luggage, couldn’t find pajamas. So she only wrapped a towel around herself and climbed into bed.
The video connected, and a cold face suddenly enlarged on her phone screen.
lody Thorne shivered, almost letting out a scream.
Jared...Quinn?
She quickly ended the video call, but Jared Quinn had already seen everything clearly.
She...was only wrapped in a towel, her snow-white arms, exquisite collarbones, and the tantalizing cleavage were all perfectly evident.
Her hair half-dried, her eyes half-closed, an unspeakable allure...
Jared Quinn narrowed his eyes, returned the smartwatch to Timmy, and strode out.
"What are your instructions, sir?"
"I recall there being a project in Bresland that needs discussing?"
Simon Sutton "...Is there?"
"Isn’t there?" The voice on the other end was as low as could be.
"Yes...yes, of course there is," Simon Sutton quickly replied, "Shall I prepare the tickets now?"
"Ti is tight, wouldn’t a private jet save more ti?"
Simon Sutton "...Yes, yes, I’ll prepare the private jet imdiately."
The call ended, and Simon Sutton remained in a state of bewildernt.
In the middle of the night, the private jet took off.
lody Thorne herself was frightened by it, comforted Timmy with a few words, told him she’d be back soon, and then hung up the call and fell into a deep sleep.
Half asleep, half awake, lody Thorne slept very restlessly, as if she had been scared by Jared Quinn’s sudden appearance.
"Hot..." lody Thorne kicked the quilt away, continuing to sleep.
