"Hmph, next ti I co, I’ll sleep with you guys," Timmy snorted coldly. Yesterday, he saw his dad invite so doctor into lody’s room, and he was sure his dad had no good intentions.
"Oh, so that’s why," lody Thorne ruffled his little head. "Alright, next ti you co here, you can sleep with us, okay?"
Timmy sneaked a glance at the man sitting on the couch in the hall, waiting, and whispered, "lody, you should be careful with my dad."
"Okay," lody Thorne smiled slightly.
After breakfast, Mr. Quinn saw them off at the door. "Be careful on the way."
"Okay."
"Bro," Titus Quinn hurried in from outside, deliberately avoiding lody Thorne and Mr. Quinn. "The Rivers Family is getting a bit dissatisfied since you locked Leon Rivers up. Harold Chapman has been interrogating him all night, but he didn’t manage to get anything. Maybe it’s ti to let Leon Rivers out?"
Jared Quinn’s expression showed no fluctuation. He glanced at Titus Quinn indifferently, "You don’t need to worry about this matter. Let Harold continue interrogating him until we get results."
"Bro, even though I don’t know why there’s conflict between you two, what you’re doing really isn’t appropriate," Titus Quinn said with a concerned look on his gentle face.
"That’s enough, go back to work," Jared replied, extinguishing the cigarette between his fingers with his shoe.
The Quinn Family.
In front of lody Thorne was a bowl of steaming herbal dicine, looking like black coffee.
This morning, when Jared ca back, he called the butler to prepare the tonic prescribed by Dr. Mo, timing it perfectly for their return.
"Do I really have to drink it?" lody Thorne curled up in the corner of the sofa, her aversion to dicine deeply ingrained, especially for those that tasted bad.
An imperceptible smile flickered in Jared’s eyes as he strode over and sat on the sofa, picking up the bowl of dicine. His deep voice carried a hint of threat, "Sheryl Lancaster’s checkup will start soon at the hospital. If you don’t go, you might miss the final results."
lody Thorne murmured, "Do you know that won hate n who threaten them the most?"
Jared Quinn’s grip on the bowl tightened slightly, recalling last night’s events.
"Do you love Jared Quinn?"
"No."
"Are you planning to share this hardship and drink this dicine with ?" Jared Quinn sneered, his deep black eyes filled with temptation. "If that’s the case, I don’t mind feeding it to you myself."
lody Thorne stamred, "...then, let’s forget it."
Resigned, she took the dicine from Jared’s hand, closed her eyes tightly, and tipped it into her mouth.
Jared Quinn: "..."
The dicine’s bitter taste almost knocked her out, and just drinking half of it was an accomplishnt. Unable to swallow the last mouthful, she threw the bowl aside and lunged at the man next to her.
Finding his slightly cold lips, she kissed him, transferring all the liquid in her mouth to him.
Afraid that he would spit it out, lody Thorne kept his mouth covered, continuously pushing the dicine into him.
Despite the bitter taste spreading in his mouth, lody Thorne’s sudden fervor sparked a burning desire within him... his body tensed.
