"Heart, I’m hungry. Let’s eat first, okay?" Timmy covered his stomach with one hand; he had felt hungry as soon as he saw lody Thorne bringing out the dishes.
"Alright," lody Thorne said as she led Timmy to dinner. The three dishes Jared Quinn liked remained untouched.
In the bedroom, lody Thorne tossed and turned, unable to sleep, waiting for Jared Quinn. As soon as she closed her eyes, images of Jared Quinn touching her in the office on the sofa popped into her mind.
Suddenly, she wanted to slap herself. Why was she thinking about such things? Was it possible she had once again fallen under Jared Quinn’s spell, falling back in love with him?
lody Thorne scorned herself while forcing her eyes shut to try to sleep.
Not until early morning did she finally drift off, slipping into a dream, where she was surrounded by a great fire. Many things around her were collapsing, and the fire licked at her skin. Not far away, Hans Montrose was also in the fire; she was standing, conscious, while Hans Montrose lay amidst the flas.

lody Thorne’s voice called out intermittently, trying to wake Hans Montrose.
The bedroom door opened, and at first, Jared Quinn couldn’t clearly hear what lody Thorne was saying but saw she seed distressed. He moved closer to the bed.

Jared Quinn turned and left the bedroom, his powerful heart feeling like it was enduring the harshest punishnt, almost engulfing him.
lody Thorne lingered in her dream, the scene shifted to Jared Quinn walking into the fire, seemingly to rescue her.

"Ah," lody Thorne suddenly awoke, drenched in cold sweat. She had dread she was in a sea of fire, and Hans Montrose and Jared Quinn were there too.
lody Thorne grabbed her phone to check the ti; it was almost three in the morning, and Jared Quinn still hadn’t returned to the bedroom.
Putting down her phone, lody Thorne got out of bed and walked to Jared Quinn’s study, thinking he was there.
But the study was empty; Jared Quinn wasn’t there at all. She had no idea where he had gone.
... Morning.
After lody Thorne and Timmy finished breakfast, Jared Quinn still hadn’t returned. She called twice more, but there was still no answer.
At that mont, soone walked in from outside—Simon Sutton.
"Where is Jared Quinn?" lody Thorne imdiately got up to go over.
Simon Sutton’s face was not pleasant, though he tried hard to control it, still looking uneasy. "Young Master has a business deal to discuss, so he needs to go abroad for a few days."
"Why does he need to go abroad? He didn’t ntion anything about this before," lody Thorne blocked Simon Sutton, "Where did he go?"
Simon Sutton glanced at lody Thorne; oh dear, she still knows how to care about Young Master?
If you care so much, why pretend not to love him and create such a recording?
"First to Zetania, then to Crestfall. He probably won’t be back for half a month," implying that lody could rest assured that the CEO would stay as far away from her as possible this ti.
lody Thorne didn’t know what Simon Sutton was thinking, but when she heard Crestfall and Zetania, her face changed drastically, grabbing Simon Sutton’s sleeve, "He wouldn’t have taken Leon Rivers and Titus Quinn with him, would he?"
