The reason people didn’t criticize The Adler Family for their treatnt of him was that he was Ivy’s cousin, and his father was in jail for murder, with him charged as an accomplice. Everyone thought he deserved his fate.

"Ah!" ca a scream from over there. The woman was wearing twenty-centiter high heels and slipped on the ice, falling back with a loud crash. Even from a distance, lody could almost feel how badly she had fallen.
"What’s going on?" Many people looked over in that direction, but the lighting was too dim to see clearly.

instantly exposing the woman’s embarrassing state to everyone. She was wearing a short skirt, now leaving very little to the imagination.
"Ah," the woman scread again, hurriedly covering her skirt.

and lody Thorne kindly turned off the light again, preparing to find a seat to have a drink when she noticed the "little fool" looking her way. Yet his eyes were cold, though the expression vanished quickly, she caught it.
