lody Thorne knew that the Miss Sutton the butler ntioned was Kiki Sutton, but she didn’t want to see her at the mont.
She wasn’t stupid; there were many strange things that day. Just because she hadn’t thought about them in detail didn’t an she wouldn’t be suspicious.

lody Thorne returned to the hall and dialed Jared Quinn’s number on the landline, but couldn’t get through. She tried twice, but still no answer.
Wasn’t he on the phone with Dr. Mo at the hospital?
Is he trying to avoid her calls?
"Ma’am," Harold Chapman hurriedly walked into the hall from outside, with a serious, anxious expression, "I might have to go to Crestfall for a trip. I’ll leave soone here to protect you, but you and Timmy absolutely cannot go out easily again. If anything unexpected happens, I won’t be able to manage both ends."
"Why are you going to Crestfall?" lody Thorne put down the phone, feeling a vague sense of unease deep inside.
Judging by the timing, Jared Quinn should be in Zetania, not Crestfall, right?

She rembered from her past life that Jared Quinn was gone for fifteen days in total, ten of which were spent in Zetania, which is why she painted that portrait—the person in the painting was from Zetania.
So how could he get to Crestfall so quickly? Could the timing have reversed? Would he be staying in Crestfall longer?
Harold Chapman had a complex look on his face. He wouldn’t tell lody Thorne that it was because sothing happened to her and Timmy that Jared sped up his itinerary, overturning his original plans.

And now he was completely out of touch, even with Leon Rivers, so Harold feared sothing would go wrong and decided to depart.
