On the film set, Nina King felt her life revive the mont she saw lody Thorne. If she didn’t co to the set soon, almost everyone else’s scenes would be wrapped up except hers, and Director Irving wouldn’t accept that.
"Ancestor, you finally ca," Nina quickly went up to greet her, instinctively holding her arms.
"Alright, alright, don’t be so glib."
"Director Irving, are you really not considering giving Luna Lancaster more scenes? Her value has dropped a lot compared to before. If these matters pass, you’ll know it’ll be hard to invite her for a shoot."
"Director Irving, I think you should reconsider because opportunities are rare."
"Oh, look at them begging Director Irving to add scenes now," Nina nudged lody Thorne’s arm and intentionally raised her voice, speaking confidently, "Now that The Lancaster Family has gone under, Luna’s reputation isn’t good. I guess no one would want to sign her. Even if she lowers her salary, what does that matter? The audience wants what pleases the eye."
"You," Luna Lancaster’s agent turned around, "What are you proud of? Even if The Lancaster Family is destroyed, there are still plenty of people lining up to hire Luna. It’s just that she doesn’t want these jobs."
"A crowded line, is it? Then go pick other projects. Don’t keep pestering Director Irving here. I heard Radiant isn’t supporting her anymore and has promoted other newcors. It’s about to terminate the contract with Luna Lancaster," Nina couldn’t miss the chance to gloat after finally having her mont on set.
"Don’t spew nonsense," Luna Lancaster’s agent turned livid with anger.
Just as Nina was about to say sothing more, lody Thorne pulled her aside and whispered a few words in her ear.
Nina’s eyes instantly sparkled; when it cos to cunning, lody Thorne leads the way.
Now that Luna Lancaster is terminating the contract with Radiant, they could just sign her up. Since no one else wants her, they could make her start from the bottom. While she takes steps to rebuild herself, how would she react if one day she realizes lody Thorne is her superior?
After the shoot, lody Thorne was in the dressing room removing makeup, while Nina left due to other engagents.
"Just wipe it off casually," lody let her hair down carelessly.
After the makeup artist finished helping lody Thorne, she left the room. As lody was about to stand up and leave, she saw another woman in the makeup mirror.
It was the woman she hadn’t wanted to see these days, Kiki Sutton.
"lody," Kiki stood behind her, looking unwell after not being seen for a few days.
She knew she shouldn’t use lody Thorne to get rid of those two won from The Lancaster Family, but she was really desperate. Those two won held sothing over her, and every ti they used it to force her to do things she least wanted to do.
She knew lody wouldn’t be hard because Jared Quinn was protecting her.
So, when Luna Lancaster approached her, she agreed, hoping to use lody’s hand to completely get rid of those two won.
But these past few days, lody had been avoiding her, so Kiki understood that lody must have caught onto sothing.
