On the surface, he seed utterly harmless, but if you got closer, you’d realize just how cruel the boy’s thods were. The turtle’s head and shell were nowhere to be seen, leaving only its bloody body behind.
As lody Thorne stepped out, she imdiately noticed the boy hiding behind her car and strode over. "Are you planning to hide behind my car so I hit you? Then you can extort my money, huh?"
Caleb tilted his head, his gaze fixed on her, no longer pretending to play dumb. He coldly watched her, and suddenly, before lody could react, he pinned her against the wall like a leopard. "I’m telling you, don’t ddle," he snarled.
As he stood up, lody realized just how tall this man really was, a whole head taller than her. "What’s the matter? Are you already exposing yourself?"
Caleb’s eyes sparked as he looked at her. "I don’t care what your intentions are. Don’t let see you again."
lody quirked her lips. "What if I told you we have a common enemy? Would you still say that?"
"Not necessary."
"If it’s not necessary, then let go of ." lody pushed away his large hand blocking her side and looked at the boy still standing in front of her. "What? Are you planning on making scream now, claiming I’ve been harassed by a little fool? Letting The Adler Family kick you out?"
Caleb’s face darkened, and he cursed under his breath. "Damn woman!"
"Says the one pretending to be so righteous," lody retorted, opening the car door and speeding away. Through the rearview mirror, she saw the little fool standing there, staring intently at her car, and she felt that her tactic had worked.
Quinn Villa.
"lody, you’re back!" Little Timmy imdiately tossed the computer on his lap aside and, dressed in his pajamas, dashed towards her.
lody Thorne picked up little Timmy. "Why aren’t you asleep yet? Did you take a bath?"
"No, I haven’t finished my ga," little Timmy pointed at the computer beside him and cautiously glanced at the door. "Dad didn’t co back, right?"
In the Quinn Family, little Timmy was strictly forbidden from playing gas because he only played gas ant for adults; childish gas for kids didn’t interest him.
lody Thorne opened the computer, feeling a bit of a headache because... she didn’t know how.
"I’ll keep an eye on the door for you. You can play a little longer," lody offered, looking towards the entrance professionally.
She knew that Ivy was injured and Jared Quinn wouldn’t be back so soon.
"Then make sure you watch carefully," little Timmy urged as he hugged the computer.
lody lazily replied, resting her chin in her hands as she watched the door. But suddenly, her pupils shrank as the tall figure outside already walked in.
"Timmy, Timmy, stop playing," lody warned.
"Just a bit longer, just keep an eye on the door," little Timmy turned slightly.
lody sighed, "..."
She watched Jared Quinn walk in from outside, his presence like a layer of frost, extrely dangerous.
His cold gaze landed on her, and he reached over lody to take the computer from the little one’s arms, speaking coolly, "Take him back to the room to sleep."
Upon hearing Jared Quinn’s voice, little Timmy didn’t dare linger for a second longer and dashed upstairs.
lody was speechless, "...Traitor!"
She wanted to leave too, but suddenly a large hand gripped her arm, and the man behind her picked her up, striding upstairs.
