Jared Quinn’s eyes, filled with desire, slowly shattered like glass, piece by piece, his patience nearly pushed to the limit, "When did I ever say you let in just for a transaction?".
"But you said you’d consider it," lody Thorne lifted her head.
"Sweetheart, that’s just considering," Jared Quinn withdrew the shine from his eyes, squeezed her little cheek with his large hand, didn’t linger for a mont, and turned to leave.

She stood at the window, her angry eyes blazing with flas. After Jared Quinn left the building, he returned to the car.
He didn’t leave; he stayed here, not sure doing what.
lody Thorne stood by the window for half an hour before turning off the lights in the room.

Turning over and over, lody Thorne still couldn’t sleep, it suddenly started to rain heavily outside, and the open window let in the cold wind.
Turning on the light, lody Thorne walked to the window, just about to close it, saw below that Jared Quinn’s car hadn’t left, the rain was heavy, the road was full of water.

lody Thorne lived on the fifth floor, with an elevator, she walked in and pressed the first floor, the elevator was about to close when it automatically opened again, several tis in a row.
"Broken?" lody Thorne was just about to step out of the elevator when suddenly it was fixed and the door closed on its own.
"Click" A sound ca from sowhere, the lights in the elevator suddenly went dark, and the entire elevator car rapidly plunged downward.
"Ah"
A scream echoed from inside the elevator.
Fourth floor, having just dismissed the fourth floor apartnt and discussing company matters with Simon Sutton, Jared Quinn suddenly heard screams from outside the building, sounding like lody Thorne’s voice, followed by a loud thud.
"Little lady?" Simon Sutton also heard lody Thorne’s screams, and felt a chill all over.
He’s so sure because they had cleared out all residents when lody Thorne went out, and there were no more residents here, and the fifth floor was lody Thorne.
The fourth floor was Jared Quinn.
By the ti Simon Sutton reacted, Jared Quinn had already stepped out swiftly.
"lody Thorne!" Jared Quinn’s deep voice echoed unexpectedly through the whole building.
Simon Sutton imdiately went to the elevator; one of the elevators was functional.
Inside the elevator that had sunk to the bottom, lody Thorne had already passed out; her head had slamd against the elevator wall when it fell, combined with the rapid downward force causing her to lose consciousness.
"lody Thorne" Upstairs was Jared Quinn’s furious voice.
After Simon Sutton took an elevator up, Jared Quinn quickly pinpointed the other elevator, which had no response no matter how much he pressed, and there was no light above either.
"lody Thorne" Jared Quinn walked down the stairs floor by floor, and determined the elevator’s stopped position, fortunately, it was stuck between the third and fourth floors; if it had gone straight down, lody Thorne might have been severely injured.
