He seed to be probing for sothing.
"Do you have a hairdryer?" lody Thorne asked as she towel-dried her damp hair, her gaze calm.
"Under the cabinet."
lody went to the cabinet, took out the hairdryer, and stepped back into the bathroom to dry her hair.
Calmly, she put the hairdryer away, then under Jared Quinn’s gaze, climbed onto his bed, slipped into his covers, keeping so distance to avoid touching his injured area, lay down quietly, then closed her eyes, "Let’s get so sleep."
Jared Quinn "..."
He turned his head, watching her sleep, his nostrils filled with her inviting scent, wishing he could just hold her. How could he sleep with such thoughts?
Jared moved a little, the pain unable to stop his determination to hold her.
"Jared," lody said, eyes still closed, seeing through his childish intention, "Sleep properly, or I’ll leave right now, leaving you to sleep alone in the hospital."
She threatened him aloud.
Jared’s eyes looked at her darkly; wanting to hold her but being unable to was the real tornt. How could he possibly fall asleep...?
Ten minutes passed, then twenty, and he was still staring at her.
lody wasn’t asleep at all; she simply wanted Jared to have a good sleep to aid his healing. Yet he showed no intention of sleeping, and his gaze on her grew increasingly invasive.
As if he could see her body through the blanket.
lody couldn’t sleep anymore, opened her eyes, and moved towards Jared, lifting her shimring eyes, "Is this enough?"
Jared’s eyes held a deep aning, "Not enough..."
lody could only snuggle closer to his arm, "Is this okay now?"
"Not enough."
"If you don’t sleep, I’m leaving."
Jared’s other big hand ignored her threat, slipped through the covers to rest on her right chest, closing his eyes in satisfaction, "Sleep."
lody "......"
The whole day felt like a nightmare, so she quickly fell asleep.
...
She woke to the sound of soft murmurs, opening her eyes to see two doctors alongside Dr. Mo whispering in front of Jared.
She was still nestled in Jared’s arms, having just woken, with her head resting in a particularly comfortable spot, one ear covered by his large hand.
As she awakened, everyone’s gaze turned towards her...
"What are you looking at?" Jared’s gaze darkened, his hand naturally shielding lody’s head that peeked out from the covers.
Sensing trouble, Dr. Mo and the other two doctors quickly lowered their heads.
"Awake?" He switched to a tone so doting it was almost dripping with affection when he spoke to lody.
Dr. Mo "..." This discrepancy was truly enormous.
lody shifted and realized sothing was off with the place her head was resting, her eyes directly facing Jared’s chest!
"Jared," she moved slightly, intending to get up.
The arm encircling her pressed her back down, "Why the rush?"
"I’m resting on your arm," lody’s head froze in midair, not daring to lower it back down.
"It’s alright, they said it’s no longer a big deal," Jared gave Dr. Mo a aningful look.
Dr. Mo "...Yes, Madam, you can rest comfortably, Jared’s arm is really fine, just rest as you were."
lody saw through the perfunctory expression imdiately.
