"How could this happen? Didn’t the doctor say that the drug could create a heart failure illusion and no one would be able to detect it?"
Leon Rivers and lody Thorne felt a chill run through their hearts, exchanging glances. They only wanted to learn so more information amidst Sheryl Lancaster’s chaos, but they hadn’t expected even the old man’s situation was a re illusion they caused. It seed the hospital had a Quinn Family insider.
"Take care of it," lody Thorne stepped outside and called Harold Chapman, asking him to secretly investigate the hospital staff to find the traitor.
After she finished the phone call, Leon Rivers had already dealt with Sheryl Lancaster, who now looked as if she were asleep, her complexion sowhat flushed.
"Is it reliable?" lody Thorne pointed at Sheryl Lancaster.
"Relax, they won’t find out that I hypnotized Sheryl Lancaster. They’ll only find that Sheryl Lancaster has the sa drug as the old man, with her entire body beginning to deteriorate. The effects will last for a long ti unless she convinces Titus Quinn to find the doctor she ntioned."
Leon Rivers clapped his hands, giving her a reassuring expression, vouching for his dical skill.
The two went downstairs just as Titus Quinn walked in from outside. lody Thorne glanced at the ti; it had only been four or five minutes since they had administered the drug to Sheryl Lancaster.
Titus Quinn appeared in such a short ti, indicating that there must be an insider at the estate.
"Sister-in-law," Titus Quinn hurried in, his gaze sweeping over Leon Rivers, who followed him.
"You’re back," lody Thorne said calmly. "Grandfather is ill. I heard Sheryl Lancaster is staying here, so I ca to check in case she encounters any inconvenience. It’s fortunate I ca today; Sheryl Lancaster seemingly went berserk for unknown reasons, attacking grandfather’s people, and I couldn’t stop her. I had no choice but to have soone sedate her."
"Why did she go insane?" Leon Rivers’ gaze swept over the butler and servants, holding back other emotions.
"She must be ill," lody Thorne stood before the butler. "To prevent another outbreak, I’ve left a box of sedatives here. Keep an eye on her, and if she goes wild, you’ll have no choice but to sedate her again."
The butler and servants stood behind lody Thorne with bowed heads.
"Thank you, sister-in-law. Where is she?" Titus Quinn restrained his fury, knowing that foolish woman had gone too far. Damn!
"She’s already back upstairs. Grandfather is hospitalized, so let’s not pass this news around. We’ll head back now. By the way, the sedatives are on the table, ready for use anyti," lody pointed to a nearby table.
To the servants, she couldn’t help but advise, "Go to the hospital if injured, and next ti, rember to distinguish whether she’s gone crazy. You are grandfather’s people; who’s going to dare do anything to you?"
Her words subtly hinted to them that Sheryl Lancaster wasn’t qualified to touch them.
"Yes, yes, we’ve got it, madam, don’t worry."
Leon Rivers followed behind lody Thorne, standing taller, as if he were trailing a mighty empress, and felt quite proud.
Leon Rivers and lody Thorne left the Quinn Estate, and Titus Quinn imdiately turned to ascend the stairs.
On a large bed, Sheryl Lancaster was sleeping peacefully.
Titus Quinn walked over, angrily glaring at the woman on the bed, grabbing her hair with one hand and pulling her up, landing a heavy slap with the other.
"Ah," Sheryl Lancaster was jolted awake from her dreams by a slap, her face swelling on one side.
