lody Thorne’s sudden serious deanor made a trace of smile appear at Jared Quinn’s thin lips. He tapped her nose saying "Don’t worry, you won’t be left out."
"That’s more like it," lody Thorne got up and stretched lazily. She had been lying down all afternoon, and there wasn’t any dramatic period pain. She used to suffer quite aggressively from it.
"Ti for dinner," Jared Quinn led her by the hand to the dining table, his lips always carried a fond smile.
lody Thorne had checked several tis, thinking it was her imagination. Lately, Jared Quinn seed to be developing a better temperant, especially towards her; he gave her whatever she wanted, she made him happy with whatever she said.
"What are you looking at? Eat," Jared Quinn took her hand and handed her a fork.
lody Thorne had just taken a couple of bites when Leon Rivers called.
"Finish eating first," Jared Quinn hung up when she was about to answer.
lody Thorne looked at his action and said, "What if Leon Rivers has sothing important?"
Perhaps Luna Lancaster woke up early, she needs Luna to reveal the truth about that day. She wants Nina King to keep an eye on the company for her first. Now that she is here and Nina is at the company, there’s no one left; it’s probably in chaos by now.
"Let’s talk after dinner," Jared Quinn held her phone in his palm, showing that she needed to finish her al to retrieve it, "With your appetite, if you were pregnant, I’d be afraid you would starve both of you."
Jared’s words reminded lody Thorne of the likelihood of her period coming, "I may be about to get my period; there’s probably no need to visit Dr. Mo, since I didn’t get pregnant anyway."
Though neither wanted to get pregnant initially, they now strongly desired a child.
"We’ll keep trying later," Jared Quinn’s indifferent expression remained unchanged; he has plenty of ti to make a baby with her.
After they finished eating, lody Thorne dialed Leon Rivers’ number, "What’s up?"
"Sis-in-law, Luna Lancaster woke up early," Leon Rivers said.
The woman really has a great fate as she fell from such a tall building and woke up so quickly.
"Can she talk?"
"Yes, the woman has been screaming non-stop since she woke up. She thinks she’s perfectly fine."
"Have the nurse calm her down."
"Alright."
lody Thorne hung up the phone. Now that Luna Lancaster had woken up, the remaining matters would be easier to handle.
"Spread the news that Luna Lancaster has regained consciousness, though she’s severely injured, she’s not in life-threatening danger."
"Okay," Harold Chapman relayed her words.
She just couldn’t believe Sheryl Lancaster is still in denial, probably thinking Luna Lancaster is dead.
Two days passed and Luna Lancaster finally got out of danger. The first thing she did was ask a nurse in the hospital to check the news from recent days. It’s better than she imagined, not only dealing with lody Thorne but also cleaning up that jerk Nina King.
Luna Lancaster even smiled when she woke up from her dreams.
At night, the lights in the hospital went out earlier than usual. Luna Lancaster went to sleep early too, with a smile at her lips.
The window, which the nurse closed, was now opened, letting the cold wind blow, waking Luna Lancaster from the chill. The faint lamp light from outside the hospital lit up the window area.
As Luna Lancaster turned around, muddled with sleepiness, she squinted her eyes. The window was open, but she saw nothing. Instead, there was a slight sound outside the door.
