lody Thorne felt a pang in her chest, "I’m going back right now."
"Click." The door opened from the inside, and a pair of large hands wrapped around her waist, pulling her in. "It’s definitely too late to go back now."
"Then what do we do?" lody Thorne looked up into Jared Quinn’s dark eyes, "Might they have already sent soone here? Jared, you need to leave quickly."
She realized she had fallen into Hans Montrose’s trap. He must have known she was planning to escape, so he intentionally gave her an opportunity, just to find Jared Quinn’s whereabouts.
"It’s already too late, let’s just wait," Jared Quinn closed the door of the room.
"But..."
"Don’t worry," Jared Quinn held her and sat down in a chair nearby, his eyes dark and brooding. "Even if you hadn’t co out today, I would have co in."
It was obvious Mr. Seymour had an agenda, and Jack Montrose was ambitious. There was no way he would let her stay alone in the Seymour family.
"Jared Quinn, I’m scared they’ll make a move," lody Thorne looked up. "Since they let out intentionally, maybe it’s to catch you."
"In your eyes, is your husband worth less than others?" Jared Quinn’s face clearly showed so displeasure.
"No," lody Thorne held Jared Quinn’s face, "I..."
"Alright, there’s no need to say anything. Just stay calm," Jared Quinn pressed her head gently. "I’ve got everything covered, you don’t need to worry about anything."
"I’ll go take a look," lody Thorne said, walking to the window. She looked outside and saw countless people surrounding the hotel from all directions.
lody Thorne’s heart pounded loudly, and she clenched her hands tightly.
"Young Master," Harold Chapman entered and reported that they had been surrounded.
"Let’s go," Jared Quinn pulled lody Thorne back from the window and led her towards the exit.
"Jared Quinn, what about your people? Don’t tell you only ca with just Harold Chapman?" lody Thorne asked in panic. She hadn’t seen anyone else, not even bodyguards, as she ca up.
"It’s just the two of us. Bringing too many people would expose us. Our n are stationed all around Crestfall, but it’s too late for them to get here now," Harold Chapman explained.
"Jared Quinn," lody Thorne struggled in his grip. She realized her recklessness for coming out. She should have thought that Jared Quinn and Harold Chapman wouldn’t bring too many people to avoid exposure.
"Calm down and stay put," Jared Quinn held her close as they entered the elevator, heading straight down to the ground floor.
Once out of the elevator, they were surrounded by Seymour family mbers. In the center of the hall, Mr. Seymour stood with his cane, glaring at them angrily. It was as if they were attempting to elope!
lody Thorne had dared to co looking for him!
For the sake of a man, she was willing to abandon the Seymour Family, which was a disgrace.
"You’ve got guts, daring to co alone!" Mr. Seymour’s eyes fixed on Jared Quinn, filled with rage.
"We’re not enemies, so there’s no need for violence," Jared Quinn’s lips curled coldly. "But the Seymour family owes an explanation for taking my wife and trying to remarry her in silence, what does that an?"
"The Seymour family doesn’t recognize your marriage. Did you offer a bride price or get my consent? As long as I disagree, you’re not the grandson-in-law of the Seymour family!"
"The bride price can be offered right now," Jared Quinn signaled to Harold Chapman to bring out what he had prepared.
