"I don’t know at the mont."
"But Dad said this was left behind by Howard Seymour. How did it end up with that disgusting elder? Could it be when I called, it was that disgusting elder who answered the phone?"
The thought made her skin crawl.
"It shouldn’t be him," Jared Quinn spoke, "Let’s find an opportunity for to go in with you and check it out."
"Okay."
lody Thorne stood up and called Caleb, who had been standing outside, to co in.
Jared Quinn noticed Caleb’s gaze was sowhat unfriendly, and similarly, Caleb looked at Jared Quinn with an equally unfriendly gaze. Their dark eyes were filled with hostility.
"Your eyes are really similar," lody Thorne said, propping her chin with her hands as her gaze wandered back and forth between the two.
This comnt made both of them imdiately avert their gazes.
Not only did lody Thorne notice, but Harold Chapman also saw the similarity between them, especially how their eyes looked strikingly alike.
"Why did you call in?" Caleb instinctively stood behind lody Thorne.
"It’s nothing special. I just want you to help get Howard Seymour’s examination report before he died. I want to take a look."
She couldn’t believe soone would die because of a prophecy. Soone must be up to sothing here, possibly trying to control the Seymour family.
"There’s no examination report," Caleb’s eyes flickered slightly.
"What do you an?"
"Because he died due to a prophecy, and that was declared by the elder. That’s sufficient, and no one else will investigate," Caleb said expressionlessly. "If you suspect anything, don’t investigate; it’s not in your favor."
The more Caleb said that, the more lody Thorne wanted to investigate.
She stared at Caleb, "Mr. Executive, have you thought about wanting to terminate the contract with the Seymour family early? How about this, help figure out the cause of my dad’s death, and I’ll terminate the contract with you, making you free."
"No need," Caleb said coldly, almost as if he wanted to stay bound to her.
lody Thorne felt disinterested, "If I want to investigate, you will also protect . I just want to give you a heads-up. Anyway, find out how my dad died first."
Without a word, Caleb walked out.
"Don’t tell my grandfather."
Caleb turned his head, "You need to take another look at everything about the Seymour family."
"What do you an?"
As lody Thorne intended to look again, Jared Quinn had already found the page and was looking at it. As she squeezed over, Jared had just finished reading the page and tore it off completely, giving it to Harold Chapman, "Burn it."
"Yes."
lody Thorne "..."
She watched helplessly as that page turned into ash.
"I’m not talking to you anymore," lody Thorne huffed as she climbed into bed to sleep.
Jared Quinn signaled Harold Chapman to leave, then went to the big bed and half-embraced her, but didn’t explain. Because there was really everything on that page, the Seymour family’s male attendants were basically like boyfriends, capable of doing many things. If the lady they served hadn’t married, they would be among the candidates.
How could he keep it?
Jared Quinn intended to hold her and rest, but recalling what happened that day, including his loss of control towards lody Thorne, he imdiately distanced himself from her.
He placed her in the center of the bed, while he himself slept at the very edge.
Feeling his abnormality, lody Thorne wasn’t really angry, just felt like Jared Quinn didn’t trust her.
