lody, who had remained silent, kicked the box and dragged it to the doorway, then squatted down and opened it, blatantly exposing all the contents.
"Pfft—" Soone couldn’t help but laugh out loud, "Little Madam, since you’re being kicked out, maybe you shouldn’t bother showing off these things anymore?"
As soon as the words were said, there was a burst of laughter all around.
From the servants to Mrs. Quinn, everyone was enjoying the show.
lody took out her phone and snapped a few pictures of the box, "Recently, Mr. Quinn asked about how I’m doing at the Quinn house. I’ll give him an update."
As she spoke, she started typing on her phone while muttering, "I’m living well at the Quinn house, Grandpa Quinn, you don’t have to worry. Look, these clothes are all prepared for by Mrs. Quinn; each piece is brand new.
Then she added a postscript: ’Please ignore the little holes in the clothes.’
When everyone heard what she was saying, their faces turned dark.
"lody Thorne, how dare you tattle!" Mrs. Quinn’s face was the darkest of all.
"No, I’m not," lody waved her phone, "Grandpa Quinn just texted asking about my situation, so I’m reporting to him honestly."
"You’re about to get divorced, what is there to report!" Mrs. Quinn stood up, pretending to grab her phone.
"Exactly, lody, you’re about to divorce Jared, so there’s no need to send that to Grandpa Quinn and risk upsetting him," Ivy chid in, with an air suggesting lody was being childish.
"Who said I was leaving?" lody raised her eyebrows, "I’m living well at the Quinn house, eating well, wearing new clothes, and having a husband who cares, why would I want to leave?"
Ivy "..."
Mrs. Quinn "..."
Eating well? Living well? And a husband who cares?
Has she just been knocked silly?
"Right, husband?" lody squinted at the man standing on the stairs watching the show, as if to say, there’s no way you’ll enjoy this show!!!
Upon hearing the word ’husband,’ Jared’s eyes changed slightly, and he felt a tingling sensation all over.
The little woman trotted over, her paws quickly seizing his sleeve, "Jared Quinn, don’t forget that Little Bao needs my blood!!"
She threatened quietly.
For the first ti in his life, Jared Quinn was being threatened, and by his own young wife no less, his dark eyes filled with intrigue as he lowered them to et her bright, defiant eyes,
causing him a montary lapse as he felt an itch to tease her more.
Quickly, Jared’s gaze reverted to its usual coldness, "What if I say no?"
lody lifted her delicate, haughty chin, "Jared Quinn, if you don’t comply, I might just die right in front of you, making it impossible for you to save Little Bao!"
Their eyes locked in a standoff, red flas practically flaring between them.
Watching this, Ivy, Mrs. Quinn, and the other servants were so excited they nearly jumped up, eager to see lody’s overconfidence fall flat.
Yet, after a while, Jared scoffed pleasantly and gave a single-word answer, "Okay."
The tone was unclear, leaving everyone puzzled about his true thoughts.
But that single word was enough to shock everyone, since in their understanding, Jared Quinn would never side with lody Thorne!
"What about my clothes?" She dragged out her words.
"Buy them!"
"But what if I have no wardrobe to put them in?"
"Buy one!"
"Then..." lody continued to ponder what else she might need.
"lody Thorne, pushing your luck isn’t a good thing," Jared looked down at her.
