Nina was startled for a second, then quickly accepted the platinum-embedded business card, smiling, "I thought you’d be like the big shots I used to know, who like to keep their won as pretty birds. I didn’t expect you to be so understanding."
"Heh," Jared Quinn chuckled softly. He’d love to keep her as a pretty bird too, but she’d have to agree first.
In the room, lody Thorne had matched all her clothes. Tomorrow, she needed to arrange a eting with Sila.
At the door, the man who had just left returned and lay on the large bed in front of lody Thorne. His tall and upright figure made the bed seem a bit small.
"Why are you back?" lody Thorne glanced at him. Jared Quinn had already closed his eyes, looking sowhat tired between the brows.

At the elevator, Nina heard the commotion from the room next door and quickly turned back. "lody, hurry, I heard footsteps inside. They’re about to leave."
"Pay attention to your image," lody Thorne glanced at her.
Nina’s body type was a bit broader than the average girl, so lody Thorne had styled her in a sleek Chinese-style suit, mature and elegant, with a certain flair.
lody herself wore a black beaded sweater with a black slit skirt and strappy high heels. Sila’s style leaned toward the mature side, which she grasped perfectly.
"Knock knock," a knock sounded at the door. Nina opened it and saw Rochelle Thorne standing outside. She glanced first at lody Thorne and Nina’s clothes, her eyes showing disdain. "I wondered why you were here, turns out you’re no different from those people trying to curry favor with my godmother."
"Your godmother?" Nina’s jaw dropped.
"Yes, she recognized as her goddaughter last night. She even said she wanted to check out the market here, saying she’s looking for a female celebrity to endorse sothing. After thinking about it, I told her the worst one here seems to be that so-called lody Thorne."
"You..."
"Nina!"
lody Thorne stopped Nina from arguing further with Rochelle Thorne. "Audrey Sumrs, you really have the skills, huh? Calling any rich man dad or mom whenever you see one."
Rochelle Thorne’s face turned ugly. "What’s it to you if I call them dad or mom? If you have the guts, you should do it too."
"Let tell you the truth, you want to cozy up to my godmother? Save your energy. As long as I’m here, don’t even think about it. However you treated before, I’ll return it tenfold."
"Snobby!" Nina held back and cursed under her breath.
"You’re the dog, a dog without a good owner. Why don’t you follow , huh? Follow , and I promise you’ll have plenty to eat."
"No thanks to the female dog."
"You!" Rochelle Thorne flashed them a vicious glare. "We’ll see."
Nina watched Rochelle Thorne walk away, wishing she could stamp her foot in anger. "Is she really your half-sister? She doesn’t look like it at all."
"Don’t mind her. I believe Sila is not soone with poor judgnt," lody Thorne leaned against the table. "We haven’t even done anything, and Sila already heard my na from Rochelle Thorne, not bad."
At least she got into Sila’s gaze earlier than others.
"Do you have any good ideas?"
lody Thorne propped her chin with one hand, "With Rochelle Thorne around, we can only wait for an invitation to Sila’s event."
