His body expanded. Thick scales covered his skin like armor. Claws lengthened into jagged blades. The dragon blood inside him wasn't just waking up—it was evolving.

At this point, his height reached nearly ten feet. His muscles were so defined, it looked like he had sixteen abs carved into his body

On his back, the shape of a dragon's face ford—its eyes staring with deadly intent.

His hair stayed silver, matching the black and gold color of his scales.

But the scales no longer looked smooth—they hardened into sothing like rough diamonds, giving him a sharp, armored appearance.

Even Pantheon was surprised by the transformation. It was unlike any half-dragon he had ever seen in his entire life.

"ARGGGG" Asher let out a loud roar, filled with pain and anger.

Then the sky answered.

CRACK—BOOM!

A blood-red lightning bolt hit the clouds, splitting the sky apart.

Pantheon's barrier shook under the force. The ancient dragon narrowed his eyes and made it stronger with glowing symbols.

(This isn't normal. That lightning carries a spiritual echo… a Will.)

Will of the universe.

The shield around them shattered.

BOOOOM!

The ground exploded. Bones and dust flew everywhere.

Asher scread, but the sound disappeared in the blast. His body smashed into the ground, leaving a deep hole.

Pantheon stepped back, smoke rising off his wings.

(He's still alive…)

In the center of the crater, Asher was on one knee. Steam ca off his body. His wings were torn. His scales were cracked. But his eyes still burned with light.

He took the hit—and survived.

But the storm had only begun—and it wanted him dead.

More lightning followed.

Bolts hit him one after another. Each stronger than the last.

Asher bled from his mouth and shoulders, but he didn't give up.

He bit his tongue to stay awake. His thoughts were blurry, but one na stayed clear in his mind.

'Index…'

Another bolt fell.

This one didn't make a sound.

It was on him in a blink, slamming into his head before he had ti to react.

His mouth opened in a silent scream as the force tore through him. Flesh burned. Bones cracked.

The pain was beyond anything he felt before. It didn't just hurt—it felt like his soul was being peeled apart.

CRACK!

Another bolt fell.

His skin split in several places. Blood sprayed out in thin streams, only to be vaporized mid-air.

The silver hair turned dull. One of his horns snapped in half. His right arm began to dissolve—skin first, then muscle, then bone—vanishing into light.

Pantheon's eyes widened. (No… He's breaking down too fast.)

It wasn't because Asher was weak. His strength had already passed the peak of SS , and he could already contend with SSS- .

Against any normal tribulation, he would've endured without issue.

But this wasn't any other storm.

The lightning carried the fury of the universe itself. The color, the speed, the weight—it all pointed to sothing far beyond a typical trial.

This wasn't ant to test him. It was ant to erase him.

Thud!

Asher collapsed to one knee. His muscles tore as he moved. His back split open, exposing bone.

crack!

Another bolt crashed down, striking his chest directly. His ribcage shattered. Even his heartbeat faltered for a second. His vision turned white, then red. Then nothing.

Pantheon roared, eyes wide with panic. (He's not going to make it!)

But just as that thought ford—

Sothing pulsed inside Asher's broken body.

A faint red glow, deep in his core.

Even through the pain—even as his body broke down—his core reacted.

The energy he took in earlier hadn't vanished. It had been waiting.

And now, it moved.

It surged through him, like a dam finally breaking.

A wave of pure, condensed power rushed through his ruined veins, crashing against the destruction.

The burning skin cooled. Torn flesh began to seal. His broken bones pulled themselves back together. His heart beat again.

Thump.

Thump.

THUMP.

Stronger. Faster. Louder.

Pantheon stepped back, stunned. (What…? He's healing? No—this is more like instant regeneration.)

The damage reversed at a speed even the ancient dragon couldn't follow.

Each bolt that followed now triggered less damage.

By the ti the next lightning bolt ca down, Asher stood tall.

Blood still leaked from his mouth, but he didn't fall.

He glared at the sky—challenging it.

CRACK! Another blast struck him.

Smoke rose from his body, but no new wounds ford.

Pantheon couldn't believe it. (He's tanking the lightning…)

The level of durability needed to pull that off was outrageous.

As the storm reached its peak, the clouds twisted violently, building for one final strike.

This ti, he didn't wait to be hit. His aura burst outward—black, gold, and red—before he launched into the sky, racing straight into the sky.

The lightning ca down at full forced.

"ARGGG!" Power surged through his arm as he roared, driving the blow forward. The lightning shattered on impact, exploding into blinding fragnts.

The clouds that birthed it didn't escape either. His punch tore through them, splitting the storm in half.

It was a display so violent, so absolute, not even the Pantheon could have dared to match it.

Asher hovered above, his body still glowing with fading light.

Though he looked the sa as before, his scales was now a mix of black, gold, and blood red.

"So this is SSS- rank?" he muttered, flexing his fingers. It was nothing like the power he had before.

Comparing the two was like asuring a pond against the sea.

(Brat, you actually pulled it off. Normally, I'd warn you not to get cocky—but breaking straight through SSS ? Even I can't argue with that.)

"I broke through SSS ?"

Even he was stunned by the words. But deep down, he couldn't deny it. He felt stronger than Pantheon. Far stronger.

Like he could snap his fingers and erase the ancient dragon without a second thought.

clap!

clap!

clap!

Their conversation was cut off by the sound of slow clapping.

R stood a distance away, smiling like he'd just watched sothing entertaining. He looked proud—maybe even impressed.

"Amazing, you—"

Before he could finish, Asher's fist slamd into his face.

R flew back, crashing through the air, vanishing over the horizon within seconds.
