The woman who had blasted through the door now stood before the recruiters, Lima, and Zac. The four recruiters and Lima were completely shocked. Fear was clearly visible on their faces.

Zac, on the other hand, was simply... stupefied. "From their reactions, they all seem to know who she is."

[Yeah. You’re currently the least inford person in this room.]

"What?" Zac asked.

The system snorted.

"So you know who she is?"

[Of course I do. Is there sothing I don’t know?]

"Then tell ."

[Where’s the fun in that? Just wait a few minutes. You’ll find out in a most spectacular way.]

Zac frowned. "Why do I feel a connection to her?It feels like I’ve seen her sowhere before?"

[That’s the most cliché line a teenage boy can possibly say. All that’s missing is a dramatic breeze and so background music.]

"No, seriously. I feel like I’ve seen her before."

[Sure. And every pebble thinks it’s familiar with the mountain that crushed it.]

While Zac was arguing with the system in his mind, Mitchell stepped forward. "Why are you here? You have no business here."

The woman looked at him as if he had just barked. "And who the hell are you to say that to ?" A cold smile appeared on her face. "When did you grow a backbone strong enough to talk back to ?"

Mitchell’s face stiffened. "We’re here recruiting students."

"Oh, perfect." She pointed at Zac. "I’m here to recruit him too."

The room fell silent. "Now get the hell out of here before I disfigure your faces so badly that even your mothers won’t recognize you."

Not a single one of them argued. The four of them imdiately walked out of the conference room.

Before leaving, Mitchell turned toward the woman. "This isn’t over." Without even looking at him, the woman replied, "Looking forward to it."

"Arrogant bitch, let’s see how long you and your little academy can hold on." Of course he did not have the guts to say it out loud.

"What? Want a kiss before going? FUCK OFF!"

Not wanting to provoke the woman any further, the recruiters practically fled from the association building.

She then turned toward Lima. "Long ti no see, little girl. How are you?"

Lima imdiately bowed. "It’s an honor to et you again, Miss. And yeah, I’m fine."

"Hm. Always the polite one, huh? Is your family still giving you trouble? If you want I can go and visit them."

"No, ma’am. After last ti they never disturbed ."

"Good."

Then she turned toward Zac. "You are recruited into New Dawn Academy. Pack your things and get there as soon as possible."

After saying that, she turned around and started walking away without waiting for a response.

"Wait."

Lima’s eyes widened with shock. "Oh god, Zac, please don’t say anything stupid."

Lima tried to stop him, but Zac ignored her warning. "I still haven’t confird anything. Don’t you want to hear my opinion?"

The woman stopped and slowly turned around and looked him directly in the eyes. The next second, her aura exploded outward.

BOOM!

The entire building shook violently once again with cracks spreading across the walls. Unable to withstand the pressure, Zac crashed face-first onto the floor.

"System! What’s happening?! Didn’t you say my Divine Aura would negate everyone else’s aura?"

[Did I?]

"System, you fucker."

[Haha... the woman standing in front of you is anything but normal.]

"I can already see that. Tell sothing I don’t know."

[Well, her aura and the purity of her mana are on a completely different level from most humans.]

"How different?"

[Imagine comparing a forest fire to the sun.]

("...")

"The gap between you two is so ridiculous that your Divine Aura might as well be a decorative sticker right now."

Lima imdiately bowed again.

"Please forgive him, Miss. He’s only recently awakened. He doesn’t understand what he’s saying."

The woman glanced at her, and the pressure also vanished instantly. "That’s the only reason he’s still alive?"

Before anyone could respond, she disappeared just like that.

Zac slowly pushed himself off the floor. "What the fuck is wrong with that woman?"

Lima imdiately covered his mouth. "Do you want us to get killed?" Her voice was almost a whisper filled with fear.

"If you want to die, go sowhere else and do it. Don’t drag into your stupidity."

Zac pulled her hand away.

"I don’t understand. Isn’t this the Association headquarters? How can so random woman co here and do whatever she wants?"

Lima stared at him.

"She’s not so random woman. She’s the Infamous Armani Wild."

Zac froze. "You an ’The Armani? ’"

"Yes."

"Oh my god! Who is she?"

("...")

"You know what? Get out of here." She looked toward the broken doorway. "Rember she is one of the people even the association doesn’t want to ss with."

"I don’t know why she ca here, but if she says you’re going to New Dawn Academy..." She shook her head. "Then you’re going to New Dawn Academy."

"This is an unfair abuse of power."

"You think she’d care?"

Zac sighed. "So I don’t have any other options?"

Lima nodded. "Unless you’re planning to die, no, you don’t."

She pointed toward the exit. "Now be a good boy. Go ho, pack your things, say your goodbyes, and leave for the academy."

"Fine."

With that, Zac left the association and headed ho.

***

’Ding Dong.’

Martha walked to the entrance and opened the door. Outside, Zac stood there with a given-up expression.

And judging by the defeated look on his face, it seed the world had personally gone out of its way to ruin his day.

"What happened, Zac?"

He entered the house, walked straight to the dining table, grabbed a bottle of water, and emptied nearly the entire thing.

"Nothing, Mom." Placing the bottle down, he said, "I just had one of the worst experiences of my life."

Carrie blinked. "Brother, did no academy pick you?"

"Quite the opposite."

Martha sat down across from him. "Then tell what happened, son."

Zac let out a long sigh. "So everything was going exactly the way I expected."

"Then?"

"Then so woman burst into the room, smashed half the place, scared the recruiters so badly they probably ran out of the city by now, and then commanded ..."

He pointed at himself. "Not asked, but commanded to join her academy."

"What?"

"I know, right?" Zac imdiately beca animated. "Can you believe it, Mom? She’s the worst kind of woman."

"The way she looks at people is like everyone else is beneath her. Seriously, who thinks like that? Even the young masters that in fiction don’t have that much arrogance."

He threw his hands into the air. "Unless they’re a complete nutjob." The more he talked, the more offended he beca.

Carrie tilted her head. "Is she really that scary?"

"Scary?" Zac laughed. "She’s an absolute monster."

Carrie imdiately made a horrified face.

"Is she really that bad?"

"Worse. The recruiters are all A-rankers, but she shooed them like nothing."

’Ding Dong.’

The doorbell rang again.

Martha stood up from her chair, but Zac said, "I’ll get it."

He made her sit back down and headed toward the entrance.

When he opened the door...

His body and mind froze.

Standing there was the very woman he had spent the last five minutes insulting.

Armani Wild.

The two stared at each other, neither speaking nor blinking.

After several painful seconds passed. "Who is it, Zac?" Martha walked toward the entrance.

The mont she saw the woman standing there, her eyes widened. "Armani?"

Seeing Zac’s mother, the arrogant look and dominant aura of Armani completely disappeared.

With a bright smile blooming across her face. "Sister!" Before anyone could react, Armani rushed forward and wrapped Martha in a hug.

She looked less like a legendary powerhouse and more like a little girl who had just found her favorite candy store.

The two won laughed and hugged each other warmly.

Watching everything from the side, Zac’s brain stopped functioning.

"Wha...What is happening?" He slowly turned toward the invisible system. "I’m not dreaming, am I?"

[Why don’t you stick your fingers in the door crack and slam it shut to see if you are dreaming or not?]

"No, thank you."

[Then stop asking stupid questions.]

A few minutes later, Armani finally stepped back. She tenderly smiled at Martha. "I’m not interrupting anything, right?"

"Oh, co on, Kitty."

"Kitty?"

[kitty?]

Martha shook her head. "You’re family. You never need permission to visit."

("...")

("...")

Both Zac and the system went silent.

"She is family?"

At that exact mont, Martha casually added, "Actually, Zac was just describing a woman he thinks is the worst person he’s ever t."

The world stopped spinning; Zac’s soul nearly left his body.

"What the hell, Mom?!"

Carrie imdiately joined in. "He also said she’s a monster."

"You are not helping, sister."

Both Zac and Armani slowly turned toward each other.

A very dangerous smile appeared on her face.

[You are so unbelievably screwed.]

"Zac couldn’t agree less."
