Within two miles of North Huashi Normal University, there are only two residential complexes: Jintian City Apartnts and Jade District.
Thus, many faculty and students from North Huashi live in these two complexes, but more students choose Jintian City because most units there are 60 to 90 square ters, relatively old, and have lower rent and housing prices.
Jade District, on the other hand, features units ranging from 90 to 150 square ters, is newer, and has better construction. Its housing prices and rent are naturally higher, so fewer students from North Huashi rent there, but at least there are two units occupied.
Of course, wealthy second-generation individuals like Miss Xu who choose to buy properties are rare, but according to Li Peifeng, he knows quite a few old acquaintances renting there, such as a wealthy young woman from the music departnt, Yao Xun, who seems to live in Building 1, right in front of Building 2.
Once, when Li Peifeng went out, Yao Xun spotted him and ntioned it in the "Campus Beauties Camp," but... why is He Ying also here?
The girl beside her in a short down jacket with long black straight hair is probably Yao Xun. Are the two walking together?
"Hi~"
Though puzzled, Li Peifeng didn’t hesitate to take a couple of steps forward, waving to greet them, "Ladies, can you still recognize ?"
Seeing his partner approach the ladies, the delivery guy perked up, adjusted his goggles, and stepped closer.
Generally, when soone wears protective gear, including a mask and goggles, even parents might fail to recognize them without hearing their voice.
But Li Peifeng’s height made him quite noticeable, and He Ying recognized him from afar. When he spoke, she was even more certain. She stopped, and though her face was masked, it seed to be smiling: "Long ti no see. Did you think I wouldn’t recognize you in a vest? But who is this?"
Yao Xun didn’t speak, rely nodded slightly as a greeting, without removing her mask. Her delicate brows faintly furrowed, her almond eyes showing not only coolness but also a hint of worry.
"Lu Ren, volunteer."
The delivery guy stated his na and then remained silent. Li Peifeng asked, "Why are you here? I rember you didn’t stay in the dormitory."
"The foundation site of the ’True Feelings’ psychological consultation studio is set here."
He Ying sighed gently, pulling Yao Xun as they continued walking slowly forward, pointing to a garage in Building 1 and explaining to Li Peifeng, "It’s that Garage 3. I’m planning to convert it into a consulting room. Initially, I wanted to set the location in Jintian City, as the rent is cheaper there. However, since you invested in , I chose here because the inco level of the residents in Jade District is generally higher than those in Jintian City, thus offering more potential clients for the consultation studio."
Li Peifeng glanced at the garage with its firmly closed doors, along with other garages that had been converted into small shops like supermarkets, vegetable stores, and lottery stations. He nodded, refraining from asking Ying why she didn’t rent a proper comrcial space, a question that would seem foolish.
Simply because it’s too expensive, and a psychological consultation studio, unlike a restaurant or a milk tea shop, doesn’t require being in a high-traffic comrcial area to attract clients. The private nature of psychological consultation ans setting up on a bustling street might actually deter people from entering, whereas opening in a residential complex like this is more sensible.
"I also rented the floor above the garage, planning to live there in the future and have my filming team work upstairs. Clients can co downstairs to the garage for consultations, and without clients, we can create skits, shoot videos, and live stream upstairs."
He Ying said, "So, in the future, this place will be a ’three-in-one’ branch. I’ve discussed this with Sister Yue, and she agreed as long as we have weekly etings at the ’headquarters’ to enhance communication. She drove here earlier, and we checked out the apartnt together. She went to your place for dinner, and I’m here cleaning... Didn’t she tell you?"
Maybe she didn’t have the chance...
Li Peifeng coughed dryly, "No, she didn’t. But that’s fine; now that it’s locked down, the renovation of the ’True Feelings’ studio has to be postponed."
"Yes." He Ying frowned, "And I haven’t even had the chance to move into my newly rented place. My bedding and clothes aren’t here, and there’s no food or supplies at ho. Fortunately, Yao Xun lives in the sa building and can lend so spare bedding; otherwise, I’d have a problem sleeping tonight."
Li Peifeng contemplated, "If you can have your roommates send things over, I can help pick them up."
He Ying glanced at the work badge hanging on his chest and nodded: "You signed up as a volunteer too? Thank you for that."
Yao Xun sighed softly, "But we haven’t had anything to eat yet."
From what Li Peifeng vaguely recalled, Yao Xun was soone who rarely cooked for herself, often ordering takeout. Though she rented a place, she didn’t cook, likely having no cooking ingredients at ho. Hence, he said, "I noticed the community seems to have so bread and milk at the property office. I’ll ask when they’re distributing it."
Yao Xun nodded, "Thanks."
He Ying tightened the mask over the tip of her nose, seemingly joking as she said, "Are you really going to let us eat bread? What are you and Sister Yue having? Can’t you invite us upstairs for a taste?"
You’ll surely have a tough ti.
Li Peifeng sighed deeply and ntioned that there were three guests at his place, expressing his helplessness in the situation, which surprised He Ying: "Besides Sister Yue, you have two more guests? I heard from her that Xu Manning was on a business trip. Who are the other two?"
"My advisor and a friend you haven’t t."
He Ying seed to have an understanding, her eyes sympathetic, "No wonder you volunteered; you’re worried about scenarios like this abrupt lockdown, suddenly finding yourself with multiple guests at ho."
