And Richard also didn’t expect that Grace would be invited.

But, while everyone was looking at her, Grace shook her head.

"No, thank you," she replied briefly.

"You can always co if you change your mind soday," the old man said after hearing Grace’s answer.

His reaction was quite flat, unlike the other factions who seed offended when their invitations were rejected.

He even gave Grace the chance to co anyti she changed her mind.

"Umm, can we go now?" Richard asked.

He just wanted to leave right away.

"Of course, everyone may go and use your Boundless Gems," the old man replied casually.

After hearing that, Richard imdiately began walking away, followed by Grace, Gray, and Elise.

Richard glanced at Roland, giving him a provoking look that nearly made the man’s eyes pop out of their sockets in anger.

For now, Richard only wanted to quickly try advancing to the Grimoire Realm.

The Grimoire Realm, also known as the Fourth Realm—this was the beginning of the Higher Realms.

By reaching this Realm, one would at least have the strength to travel across the world.

Of course, for Richard, advancing to that Realm ant he could even fight Lords.

He was very confident about that.

He returned to the staircase, entering the temple once again.

"Right, where’s the training place?" Richard asked, looking at Grace, Gray, and Elise.

Until now, he only knew it was inside the Boundless Temple. But the temple was enormous. He had no idea where exactly he should go.

"Follow !" Gray replied, leading the way and then entering a huge corridor that surprised Richard.

The corridor had figures made of golden light lined up one after another, their faces indistinct.

Judging from their silhouettes, they looked young, even appearing to be around the sa age as Richard, yet their presence was overwhelmingly majestic.

Even the Queen of Spirit Flas wouldn’t be able to rival a single one of those figures despite them being re projections.

Their light shone even brighter than that of the Ancient Sovereigns.

Richard even saw won among them—so elegant and enchanting that no other won could ever hope to compare.

Richard didn’t need anyone’s explanation to understand that these were manifestations—or more precisely, fragnts—of the Grand Sovereigns.

There were about thirty of them, presumably the Grand Sovereigns of the Land of Human.

Richard wondered which among them were the three Grand Sovereigns of the Skylight Clan.

He couldn’t identify which ones they were, because all the figures were golden silhouettes without distinct features and their faces were obscured.

Richard didn’t stop walking because the others continued forward.

Perhaps simply looking at those figures wouldn’t provide any particular benefit.

At the end of the corridor, Richard suddenly saw a space with a floor far below, like a deep pit, and a massive golden sphere of light floating there.

Richard saw people at the Peak World Realm entering and exiting the sphere.

"Over there... We just have to go inside," Gray said.

"When we enter, we must imdiately activate the Boundless Gems. Just hold them and they will activate. Then we’ll be shown the powers of the Grand Sovereigns one by one. If we want to exit, we simply fly backward."

Richard nodded when he heard that.

Afterward, he flew toward the enormous golden light sphere.

With the number of Boundless Gems he had, he felt confident he could see the powers of all the Grand Sovereigns of the Land of Human. He might even be able to watch them multiple tis.

Grace followed him, then Gray and Elise after that.

Richard held one Boundless Gem in his hand and, upon arriving in front of the sphere of light, he only paused for a mont before stepping inside.

"Mm..." Richard suddenly found himself appearing in outer space, not in the sky.

Below, he could even see a vast sky.

Buzz!

The Boundless Gem in his hand suddenly activated, enveloping his body with gray light.

At the sa ti, he sensed an extrely powerful vibration throughout that space, as if the most terrifying earthquake was taking place.

Richard looked upward because he felt the source of that overwhelming power coming from above.

Just sensing that power made him feel smaller than an ant.

What he saw above was the figure of a woman wearing a black robe—sothing like a Japanese kimono from the modern world.

He couldn’t see her face, only her form.

Clearly, she held a long, slightly curved sword.

It was a sword without light, yet its sharpness reached a level where Richard felt his entire body and soul being sliced apart simply by looking at it.

Even before the sword was swung, space and the distant sky were already split in half.

Richard felt breathless, and his throat burned with pain.

At this mont, he realized the energy of his Boundless Gem was draining extrely fast.

He quickly grabbed another gem—three at once—afraid that a single mistake would result in him dying foolishly.

As the woman began swinging her sword, even the energy from three gems was rapidly consud, forcing Richard to take out even more.

He watched the woman’s sword light—it didn’t just pierce through space and ti, but also the void itself.

Even the void could not hide from her blade.

This was the pinnacle of sword power—pure sword power without any additional force.

Any trick or technique seed aningless before this sword.

Everything was split in half: space, sky, even the vast ocean beneath the sky.

If she did that several tis, that entire world might be destroyed.

Whoosh!

The scene turned dark, and Richard could no longer see anything.

The recording seed to have ended.

But soon after, the scenery changed again.

It was still outer space, but in a different location.

He saw the figure of a man flying in the distance. His body radiated light so blinding that Richard’s eyes hurt.

That light overshadowed even the sun. The dark space beca so bright that even distant stars were illuminated.

From that man, Richard saw a ray of light forming into an arrow.

No—there was an arrow, wrapped in that light.

With a flick of the man’s finger, the arrow shot toward a distant star.

Boom!

The arrow reached the faraway star in an instant and blew it apart.

If that arrow were aid at a person, who could survive?

Richard understood the depth of that power.

Even though he didn’t possess light power, at least now he had seen how terrifying light could beco.

Next, he saw a figure with a physical body so powerful that a casual punch from him could shake an entire world.

Many figures appeared—each formidable, each a star of their own era, incomparable to anyone alive now.

They were the champions of their ti, the greatest talents who reached the highest peaks.

Every power they displayed was the pinnacle of its kind.

Even if Richard traveled the world, he would never find soone with such power—unless he himself reached their level.

Of course, so types of power he saw aligned with his own abilities.

But the most astonishing were his own ancestors—the three Grand Sovereigns of the Skylight Clan.

Two hadn’t even been able to transform into Celestial Beings; only the first ancestor had achieved that.

And now he finally understood what a Celestial Being truly looked like.

Richard ran out of Boundless Gems before he could watch all the Grand Sovereigns. This was completely opposite of his expectations—he originally thought he could rewatch them multiple tis.

It actually required far more Boundless Gems.

Even so, he was satisfied.

After witnessing so many peaks of power, he was able to directly determine the foundation for creating his own Grimoire.

What is a Grimoire?

When he first heard the term, Richard thought it was a magic book.

However, it turned out not to be a book, even though its form resembled one.

It was the core of power possessed by Magi once they stepped into the Grimoire Realm—sothing that beca one with their body and soul.

And the number of Grimoires a Magus could possess was not limited to just one.

Magus could create a second, a third, and so on.

The more they had, the more varied their power would beco, and naturally, the stronger they would be.

The problem, however, was whether they could do it. Creating a second one was difficult—though not impossibly so—but that didn’t an their body could necessarily contain more Grimoires. It required a resilient soul and a truly solid foundation.

Overall, a Grimoire was actually no different from an Arcane Art.

It was used to release power in a unique form, exactly like an Arcane Art.

But of course, a Grimoire had a uniqueness no Arcane Art possessed, no matter how powerful it was.

A Grimoire was essentially an ability created by the individual themselves, aning their control over it was perfect.

Perfect control ant the level of power it released was far stronger. One could even control the very essence of that power.

Even the Aether required was extrely minimal.

This was only true if their Grimoire was also perfect.

So people could still advance into the Grimoire Realm without a perfect Grimoire—or more precisely, with a Grimoire that was rely created, but flawed.

And that even made them unable to use their own Grimoire, like the Grimoire Realm Magi that Richard had fought during the war.

If he had faced Grimoire Realm Magi who could truly use their Grimoires, the battle would not have been that easy. They were far stronger.
