After eting the White Ancestor, Richard went to a random library.

He read a book about the rare treasures possessed by the Order of the Crimson Veil.

The Crimson Heart was recorded in that book.

It was not actually a heart—its shape rely resembled one, and its crimson color led to it being called the Crimson Heart.

It was said to be sothing priceless to the Order of the Crimson Veil.

Even within a single era, they could only produce two of them.

Its specific use was not explained in detail, nor was it stated how the Order of the Crimson Veil obtained it.

Both of these matters were secrets. The public only knew that it was extrely valuable.

The Order of the Crimson Veil usually used it for their Great Ancestors, outstanding younger generations, or traded it with other factions for items of equal value.

"It seems I have to go there," Richard muttered.

Despite the many mbers of that faction who disliked him, he felt that he was not completely threatened.

After all, so people within that faction had interacted well with him before, such as the forr Lord of the Order of the Crimson Veil.

Richard began to fly. Although he had never been to the Order of the Crimson Veil, he knew the direction, and if he rembered correctly, the Red Star Empress also seed to have flown in that direction.

Of course, that didn’t guarantee she was going there. After all, there were many places one could visit along that route.

"Richard!"

Just as he had begun flying, soone called out to him from afar.

Richard was slightly surprised when he saw that it was Sophia.

Since she was the one calling him, he naturally stopped.

After all, he had asked her to spread information that he was looking for sothing that could help him gain affinity with the Wind Elent. Perhaps Sophia had found what he wanted.

"So rushed—where are you heading?" Sophia asked with a faint smile, knowing that Richard was going sowhere.

Richard felt sowhat lazy about discussing this with her. Although she was a good source of information, he could still find out more once he arrived at the Order of the Crimson Veil.

"Any news?" Richard asked in return.

"Yes, there is news. Otherwise, I wouldn’t be eting you like this," Sophia replied.

Hearing that, Richard grew curious.

He looked at her without saying anything, waiting for her to explain.

"You might have so difficulty dealing with this person..." Sophia didn’t say it directly.

Richard still chose to remain silent, not asking anything.

"This person is from the Holy Light Kingdom," Sophia added when she saw Richard remain quiet.

This ti, Richard frowned.

Soone from the Holy Light Kingdom was indeed troubleso.

"It’s not Charles, is it?" he finally spoke.

"How could that idiot possess sothing so great? This person is the wife of the current Holy Light Grand Sovereign and also the protector of that kingdom," Sophia replied.

"What?"

The other party’s identity shocked Richard. He had originally thought it would be one of the kingdom’s Generals or Great Ancestors.

But it was the First Empress—the Holylight Empress.

"Are you serious? That Empress is willing to trade with ?"

Richard found this hard to believe.

He was undoubtedly an enemy of the Holy Light Kingdom.

Even if there were benefits in trading, it would still be equivalent to giving an enemy an opportunity to gain sothing good.

The risks were difficult to predict. Most people would not trade with their enemies, no matter how profitable it might be.

"That’s how it is, and we can’t guess what that Empress is thinking. I got the information directly from her personal maid," Sophia replied.

"Then what does she want?" Richard asked.

"That hasn’t been told to yet. You’ll have to et the Empress’s maid yourself."

"Now?"

"No, the maid hasn’t arrived yet. We’ve only exchanged ssages..."

"Alright. Let know again when the maid arrives..."

Every matter Richard had was important. He couldn’t delay one issue for another.

Right now, he still needed to head to the Order of the Crimson Veil.

"Alright, I’ll be going first," Richard said before flying away quickly.

The Order of the Crimson Veil was the strongest faction in the Eastern Region, having produced three Grand Sovereigns throughout its history, making its inheritance the finest.

One could choose from many high-quality Codices and Arcane Arts, and they also provided resources that most Magi could only dream of.

Of course, joining the Order of the Crimson Veil was not that easy. One could join without requirents if they were a descendant of a high-ranking mber.

Otherwise, they had to be extrely talented.

Despite its imnse power, the territory of the Order of the Crimson Veil was not large—only a single massive red mountain, with a great city surrounding its base.

The Order of the Crimson Veil did not bother to control vast lands.

However, there were naturally many territories under their protection that paid tribute to them.

Richard landed in front of the city gate.

This city was not as large as the City Without Limits, but it had just as many visitors.

Even the city gate was extrely crowded with people.

The reason for entering through the gate was that one had to pay a fee on their first visit to obtain an access ring that could be used for one year.

Entering without such a ring would result in being thrown back by the city’s formations.

However, it wasn’t expensive.

When it was his turn, Richard only needed to pay 2,000 Nature Spirits.

It wasn’t even worth ntioning.

He received his crimson-colored ring and stepped inside.

The atmosphere of the city was extrely lively due to its location at the foot of the mountain.

However, Richard felt that the city lacked order. The roads twisted and curved, and each building had its own design, despite all being luxurious.

As the city’s owner, the Order of the Crimson Veil seed to lack aesthetic taste.

Richard passed through street after street, moving closer to the massive red mountain before him—so large that it overwheld his vision.

It looked close, yet was actually still quite far away.
