Richard walked toward the Fire Spirit Queen after stepping down from the carriage.

The others couldn’t help but admit that he truly deserved to be recognized as the number one genius of the Human Race.

His charisma, aura, and flawless appearance made it difficult for anyone to refute him if he claimed to be unrivaled.

"Your Majesty, after not seeing you for so long, you’ve bee even more beautiful," Richard said.

He was still under the influence of the wine, so he didn’t bother restraining himself, even in front of everyone.

The Fire Spirit Queen was momentarily stunned by the pliment.

The palace elders exchanged puzzled glances. People didn’t speak to each other like that unless they were extremely close.

Could there be another relationship between them besides mere acquaintances?

Was this grand reception truly just a formality because of Richard’s identity?

The truth, of course, was that the Fire Spirit Queen had no choice but to wele Richard warmly because he was her master while she was his servant.

But that was something she could never reveal to anyone.

"Ahem..."

She cleared her throat softly.

"Richard, you’ve bee quite the joker," she said calmly before asking, "Do you still want the opportunity I told you about?"

No matter what, as a senior, she still had to act like one—as though nothing was out of the ordinary.

"Of course," Richard replied eagerly with a nod. "Your Majesty, what exactly is it? I’m already at the limit of the Lord Realm. Can it help me advance to the Ruler Realm?"

When it came to power, that was his priority.

Right now, nothing mattered more than reaching the Ruler Realm.

As long as he broke through, his strength would rise to an entirely different level.

"It certainly can. In fact, it offers far more than that. But it’s not something we can simply obtain," the Fire Spirit Queen replied. "e inside first. We’ll discuss it there."

She invited Richard into her palace, which was built entirely from crystal.

Naturally, he followed.

As he walked in, he nodded at the elders, who were still looking at him with puzzled expressions.

Apparently, the palace was the Fire Spirit Queen’s private residence. Others could only enter when invited for official matters. Surrounding the palace were numerous smaller castles where the elders lived.

Richard couldn’t help but marvel at the palace’s splendor.

Its walls were covered with intricate carvings sealed beneath crystal glass, while streams of fire flowed through the engravings, forming magnificent dragons and phoenixes.

At the far end stood a majestic throne atop three broad steps.

"Your Majesty, your palace is incredible," Richard said.

"Is that so?" the Fire Spirit Queen asked.

"Yeah. It makes me want to live here forever."

The Fire Spirit Queen fell silent.

"With your ambitions, I don’t believe you’d ever be content staying in one place forever," she replied, still trying to remain posed.

She knew that the stronger Richard became, the more boldly he would tease her.

Yet, despite possessing absolute control over her, Richard had always shown remarkable restraint.

Because of that, the Fire Spirit Queen couldn’t help acknowledging that he was a man of genuine character.

Had it been anyone else, she doubted they would have resisted taking advantage of her.

Perhaps only one man out of millions would have shown such restraint if placed in Richard’s position.

That thought had quietly touched her heart, making her overlook Richard’s mischievous side.

She even found herself thinking that perhaps... he truly was worthy of having her.

"Unfortunately, that’s true," Richard said with a chuckle.

"By the way, I heard your kingdom is at war with the Star Spirit Kingdom. You’re not being pushed back, are you?" he asked.

"They aren’t capable of pushing us back," the Fire Spirit Queen answered. "Besides, the current war only involves Lords and those below them. Even Rulers rarely participate."

"Just how powerful is your kingdom? Other than you, is there anyone else in the Ancient Sovereign Realm?" Richard asked curiously.

"My grandfather. He’s an Ancient Sovereign Tier 2. As for me... I’ve also reached Tier 2."

That was all she was willing to reveal, still keeping part of her strength hidden.

"Oh... You advanced that quickly..." Richard said, somewhat surprised.

At that realm, every step forward was extraordinarily difficult.

It wasn’t merely a matter of talent. The closer one came to the world’s limit of power, the harder it became to advance.

"I happened to encounter several opportunities," the Fire Spirit Queen replied.

"As for the opportunity I mentioned for you, it requires us to defeat a certain unit from the Star Spirit Kingdom."

"Why do we have to defeat them?" Richard asked.

"Because one of the two keys is in the possession of that unit’s captain. Don’t worry—the captain is only a Peak Lord. He’s also aiming to use that opportunity to advance into the Ruler Realm. However, defeating him won’t be easy. He’s supported by a thousand Lord Realm Magi using the Star Dragon Formation. We normally need ten military units just to fight against them."

"Where can I fight them?" Richard asked.

"Just stay here. They’ll arrive tomorrow."

"Tomorrow?" Richard frowned in confusion.

"It’s a wager. The two kingdoms agreed to settle it with a bet. The winner will obtain that opportunity. At first, I wasn’t confident we could win... but fortunately, you arrived exactly when I expected."

"Is it acceptable for an outsider to participate?"

"That’s fine, as long as they’re still in the Lord Realm. The only condition is that they fight alone without relying on an army to form a battle formation."

"Hahaha, I’m more than enough on my own," Richard said with a confident laugh.

Though his words sounded arrogant, the Fire Spirit Queen—who understood his true strength—felt no doubt whatsoever, especially after his training in the Sea River.

"By the way, you must want to try the cuisine of the Land of Spirit. e with me to the dining hall. The servants have already prepared the finest dishes," the Fire Spirit Queen said.

She walked toward a door in the palace hall that led to the rear section of the palace.

Richard immediately followed.

So far, he had only drunk wine and eaten fruit—and the wine had even been made by a human.

Naturally, he wanted to taste authentic cuisine from the Land of Spirit.
