Chapter 321: Master To Grandmaster…..Then Transcendent
The library was quiet.
I stood in the middle of it, turning slowly as I took in the space. Shelves stretched in every direction, packed with old books and glowing screens. Everything looked neat like the place was hardly used but regularly cleaned.
I walked forward, letting my fingers trail along the edge of a screen that hovered in the air. The mont I touched it, words lit up across its surface. A search nu. Perfect.
“Grandmaster rank,” I whispered and typed it in.
The screen buzzed softly and glowed brighter. In a second, a map of the library appeared, with small glowing points marking the shelves where the books and scrolls on Grandmaster rank were kept.
I followed the map.
The shelves here weren’t made of wood. So were smooth crystal. Others looked like old stone, pulsing faintly with energy. As I reached the section, books began floating toward —one after another.
I stood and began reading.
The first group of books explained the requirents to reach Grandmaster rank. It was… complicated and not the sa for everyone.
There were so common conditions, like having a high Essence affinity, at least above Level B.
The System classified Essence affinity from D up to S , though mine was listed as Infinity on my status panel.
Aside from Essence, reaching Grandmaster also required at least two minor laws at Level 3 or higher.
But those were the basic, standard requirents. Most people could eventually reach that level with enough ti and effort.
What truly blocked most from advancing was the class-specific requirent issued by the System.
After Level 100, there were no more class evolutions, just a set of unique tasks or conditions for each rank-up.
And each class had its own quest.
So were physical trials. Others were related to law mastery or so related with Abominations, Phantoms or Eternals.
I read deeper. Notes from old soldiers filled the pages—stories of near-death experiences that triggered breakthroughs, of people who ditated for months just to sense a shift in their law.
Then I searched: “How do Grandmasters grow stronger?”
More books floated down.
The books explained that Grandmasters grew stronger in three main ways.
First was the most basic, leveling up through normal ans like battles, training, and absorbing Essence.
Second was increasing the level of the laws they had already comprehended. The higher the law level, the stronger and more stable their foundation beca.
And third was the most difficult—fusing two or more laws together. This wasn’t easy. It required deep understanding and control. But those who managed it gained powerful new abilities that could shift the tide of battle.
I took ntal notes as I read. Most people progressed slowly, unless they were pushed by sothing—like war, loss, or desperation.
Simply reaching level 300 was not enough.
I kept going.
Next search: “Beyond Grandmaster. Transcendence.”
This ti, only a few books floated down.
They were thin. Old. So had missing pages.
But what they said chilled .
Going beyond Grandmaster wasn’t about rewriting the world, it was about becoming a part of it in a deeper way. To enter the Transcendent Rank, one needed to do more than fuse laws. They had to evolve at least one minor law into a major law, true comprehension, not just use.
That was the first step.
Once in the rank, Transcendents began the long process of deepening that major law—pushing its limits, making it part of their body, mind, and soul. So managed to work on more than one law, but even mastering one was a task that could take decades.
At this stage, they also gained the ability to form a semi-domain—not quite a real domain, but a personal space that bent slightly to their will. Inside this space, their laws acted faster, stronger, more precise. It was like the world itself leaned in to listen to them.
And with it ca ti.
A 1000-year lifespan. No matter the race or origin, Transcendents could live for a full millennium. Their bodies aged slowly, and their spirits were far more stable, harder to corrupt or destroy.
As I kept flipping through the pages and reading about laws, sothing didn’t sit right.
On my status panel, it clearly said: [Minor Law of Space – Level 2]. There were no extra details. No extensions. Just that.
But what I was reading in these books told a different story.
I read an example of fire.
To reach even a part of the Major Law of Fire, most Grandmasters had to study and master several smaller pieces of it—called sub-laws. The books listed examples like:
– Minor Law of Heat – understanding the essence of warmth, temperature, and its transfer.
– Minor Law of Combustion – the spark of ignition and how things burn.
– Minor Law of Fla Control – directing fire once it’s born.
– Minor Law of Smoke – dealing with what’s left behind, the aftermath of fla.
Once a person gained a deep enough understanding of a few of these, they could start fusing them. The result would slowly form a Major Law of Fire, a core expression of what fire truly is, beyond just one piece of it.
But what I had wasn’t like that.
There was no Minor Law of Space Anchoring, or Minor Law of Space Distortion, or Minor Law of Space Compression under my profile—things I had read were often the first steps into the Law of Space.
No sub-parts. No fragnts.
Just the Law itself.
Minor Law of Space.
The sa with Absolute. My panel showed it directly as Minor Law of Absolute without sub-laws like Minor Law of Command or Minor Law of Authority, which so theorists believed were its components.
I stood, thinking it through.
Why was I different?
Then it hit —the Psynapse.
My Psynapse had always been too high for what I was trying to comprehend.
My Psynapse wasn’t just helping sense Essence and laws. It was giving the ntal power to process them at a higher level—directly. Where others had to piece together sub-laws over years, maybe I was seeing the larger picture from the start.
I looked back down at the book, then closed it with a soft thump.
“Well,” I muttered, a small grin forming, “good for , I guess.”
It didn’t change the path ahead, I still had to grow, still had to fight, still had to master these laws fully.
But at least now I understood what made different. And that was a start.
I knew what the path looked like. What was needed to climb it. I had the potential. I had the tools. Now I needed the right skills to match it all.
“Skill exploration,” I muttered under my breath and tapped the screen again.
New sections of the library lit up in response, glowing softly like they were waiting for .
I turned toward them, a small smile forming on my lips. There was sothing exciting about it—choosing my next steps, picking the right tools for the battles ahead. It wasn’t just about power anymore. It was about building myself properly.
As I walked through the aisles, I began thinking about the skills I had.
So of them… I wasn’t happy with anymore. They had served their purpose, sure but now, they felt basic. Unrefined. I had grown, and it was ti my skills did too.
There were three skills I knew right away that I wanted to completely replace:
Blitz Hakai, Seismic Burst and Havoc Sfera.
Then there were skills I didn’t want to replace but I did want to make them better.
Spatial Shield and Space Lock.
I paused at the first glowing wall of books and screens.
There were categories by type—attack, defense, mobility, support, and utility. Then there were filters based on elent, weapon type, law compatibility, and level. I dragged my finger across the screen and searched by space-compatible skills.
Hundreds of options appeared. So I recognized from past fights. Others looked brand new.
I still had eleven hours and thirty minutes left to update my skill panel.
