I hovered in the air, high above the shattered city. At the center of it all stood the Holt family’s main house, built like a palace. Tall towers, sharp designs, and thick grey walls gave it a royal yet brutal look.

Its surface glead with dark materials, and lines of Essence glowed faintly across its structure, powering weapons and barriers.

It was more than a ho. It was a fortress.

Defenses were everywhere. Heavy weapons lined the walls, humming with charged Essence. Barriers flickered and spun slowly, ready to fire at anything that moved. Layers of barriers flickered over the gates and windows. Giant towers pumped energy into the walls, keeping everything sealed tight.

Outside, the real battle raged.

Thousands of soldiers filled the streets around the palace. Holt troops, all ard to the teeth, held defensive lines with precision.

They clashed with Empire forces pouring in from all sides. Mortals, Masters, and elite squads fought with desperate power. Fire and steel flew through the air. Buildings crumbled under the pressure. Skills burst like fireworks across the streets.

Above all that, in the sky, the Grandmasters fought.

Dozens of powerful auras lit up the clouds, flaring and colliding with deadly force. Each one moved like a cot, shaking the air with every strike. Essence waves rippled through the atmosphere. So figures blinked in and out of sight using extre speeds. Others floated still, attacking with long ranged attacks.

The sky was a storm of chaos.

I flared my wings and shot forward, heading straight for the palace.

As I flew, I decided to try and work on my new skill idea.

Lightning sparked on my right hand, wild and bright. Fire lit up on my left, deep orange and flickering like a hungry fla. I had thought of a new fusion skill earlier: space, fire, and lightning but for now, I would start with just two.

I angled my wings, shot downward, and streaked toward the ground. Sonic booms cracked behind .

The first wave of soldiers looked up too late.

I landed in the middle of them like a cot. A shockwave burst out, blowing away those closest. The others scread and raised shields and spells.

"Sorry for joining the party late." I muttered.

Lightning danced across my right arm, growing sharp and thin like blades. I slashed with it, sending arcs of electricity into the crowd. Each bolt split into more, jumping from body to body. Screams echoed as they dropped, twitching, burned, gone.

On the left, fire exploded outward like a wave. It rolled across the ground in a wide arc, swallowing n and even more n. Flas stuck to their armor, crawled up their bodies, turned everything black and red.

Then I combined the two.

I raised both hands and pushed them forward.

A storm burst out.

Fire and lightning spun together, twisting into a single spiral. The flas wrapped around the lightning, giving it raw heat and burning force. The lightning, in turn, sharpened the fire, guiding it, focusing it, speeding it up like a blade.

I locked my mind in. Focused.

[Psynapse Fracture]....activated.

Three fractures opened instantly.

My vision expanded. My control over the storm tripled. I could feel every crackle, every flicker of fla. I split the spiral into two giant arcs, forced the energy into shape, and bent them, until they beca two massive scythes, one in each hand. Each one buzzed with unstable power.

"AHHHHHH!"

I roared and slashed both arms outward.

The scythes tore through the air.

BOOOOM!!!

They flew down like twin blades from the sky, one to the left, one to the right, cutting through everything.

The soldiers didn’t even have ti to scream. The mont the scythes hit the ground, explosions erupted.

Fire tore through the formations, spreading in wide arcs. Lightning raced through the flas, jumping between bodies, frying skill circuits before anyone could activate their defenses.

Dozens of Holt soldiers were erased in an instant.

The ground shook as Essence shields shattered one after another. Defensive spells blinked out, overwheld before they could fully form. So tried to raise barriers, so summoned armor, but it didn’t matter. The combination of fire and lightning ripped through both flesh and Essence alike.

Master-rank warriors attempted to resist. One unleashed a wave of wind to scatter the flas but the lightning struck him mid-cast, dropping him to the ground twitching. Another launched a massive spear of ice, but it lted before leaving his hand, consud by the heat.

It was chaos. Screams, crackling energy, Essence blasts going off in all directions.

Formations broke apart. Coordination vanished. Soldiers ran, shouted, tried to regroup but the pressure was too much.

The battlefield changed in seconds.

From an organized defensive line to a collapsing ss of scorched bodies and broken spells.

But I wasn’t done yet.

The air around cracked from the pressure. I shot forward again, wings flaring, body glowing with both elents.

I flew forward behind the attack, punching and kicking anything still standing. Each hit was backed by Essence. Bones broke. Shields cracked. Every move I made sent air blasting outward, compressed wind from the force alone. n flew back in pieces.

More soldiers poured in from the sides, but I didn’t slow down. I launched another wave, fire from the left, lightning from the right, then smashed both together into a swirling storm.

Boom!

Explosions rocked the base. The ground cracked. Smoke filled the air.

The storm-scythes had done their job. They carved paths of destruction and tore through dozens of soldiers. But as the smoke cleared, I saw sothing that made frown.

Too many survived.

So had thrown up last-second shields. Others dodged just enough to escape the edge of the scythe. My attack had been powerful but too wide, too wild. A storm could wipe a field, but what I needed now was sothing more focused. More precise.

I slowly pulled my hands back in front of , fingers curling inward. My Psynapse stirred again.

Fire. Lightning. Space.

I didn’t shout it this ti. I breathed it.

Essence flowed through my arms, swirling with heat and sparks. But I didn’t let them spiral. Not like before. I forced them to slow, to twist in tighter loops.

I compressed the flas into thin cords. Lightning crackled and snapped around it like a living cage. The fire wanted to burn outward. The lightning wanted to explode. I made them behave.

I imagined a chain.
