Capítulo 547: He Got So Alphas

Steve was awake, sitting with his eyes fixed on .

“So… do you like the violet color on yourself?” I asked, tilting my head.

His eyes narrowed, and I waved my hand, sending a mirror floating toward him. He caught it and glanced at his reflection.

“Wow… this is weird,” he said slowly. “But yeah, I guess it does make look a little… mysterious.”

I floated down and landed lightly beside him.

“I’m dying of curiosity now,” I said with a grin. “Tell everything.”

He chuckled softly, stood up, and pulled out a pen and paper. “Fine,” he said. “I’m going to write down everything from my status panel.”

He did and handed the paper.

I stared at the paper and let out a low whistle.

“Why didn’t you tell there was this Alpha thing for your stats?” he asked, eyebrows raised.

“That would have ruined the surprise,” I replied with a smirk.

I handed the paper to Lyrate.

“So, what do you think now?” I asked.

She smiled, scanning the numbers. “Beautiful. We can do even bigger things. I think we should work on his skills next,” she said.

“First, the quest,” I cut in.

Steve clenched and unclenched his fists, staring at his hands. “Almost 400 to 500 points increased in each stat… I don’t even know how strong I am right now.”

“Go ahead and spar with Lyrate. You’ll understand better,” I said. “Anyway, I pushed a lot of Essence into you, so this was expected. I’ll go talk to Dante. You can keep training while we’re on the way to the marked position.”

Just as I was about to fly off Steve spoke up. “Hey, Billion, thanks.”

I smiled. “What for? I only wanted to see you explode. Lucky it worked.” I laughed and pushed off, leaving Steve and Lyrate to their sparring.

I scanned the camp and found Dante in conversation with the emperor. I changed direction and flew toward them, letting my presence unfold as I approached so they’d know I’d arrived.

I landed a few steps from the throne and bowed once. “Your Majesty.”

Lucien nodded and returned the gesture with a tired smile. Dante, still in his old-man disguise, glanced up and spoke before I could.

“We finished questioning the Ferans,” he said. “It’s clear sothing out there has drawn their interest. Whatever it is, they want it kept secret. My read is they’re the only ones who know exactly what the place holds. If we go after it, we go straight into conflict with them.”

He paused, eyes flicking to . “With Saturn dead, their deal with him is void. That ans, aside from us killing their mbers, we have no formal enmity. We could negotiate and keep things quiet, fewer bodies, less chaos.”

I let his words hang in the air and watched the emperor study Dante. I understood the warning in Dante’s tone: go for that place, and the Ferans beco our enemy in full. Refuse, and only a few would die, a smaller war, a different set of costs.

“I’m going,” I said simply, turning to face the Emperor.

If that was a Genesis rune, I needed to see it for myself. If it wasn’t, I still wanted to know what it was. Any chance to grow stronger, I took. That was my thought process.

If that earned the Ferans’ hatred, so be it.

Lucien chuckled, the sound low and tired. “Yeah, we guessed as much. But I don’t want to bring Vaythos into this.” He looked at with a steady gaze. “We’ll keep this secret. The only ones who will face their envoys are you and Dante, not as representatives of Vaythos.”

Then he turned his head to Dante and, without softening his voice, said, “Kill the Ferans.”

The line hit the room like a blade. I cut in before Dante could respond. “We should bring Anjee with us,” I said.

Lucien searched my face for a long mont and asked, “Are you sure?”

I nodded. Lucien’s face changed; so hard thing in him lted. He agreed. “If you succeed, erase every trace of our and especially any human involvent. If you fail, do not co back ho. Go out and find the strength that lies in the wider galaxy.”

When he spoke I looked into his eyes and saw a man who had grown tired of power. There was a dullness there, like soone whose hunger had been fed and then starved again. Maybe the loss of his sister had taken more from him than he’d let on.

He continued, voice softer now. “Now that Peanu is no longer a threat, and even Sukra keeps his head down, we can have peace here. But we won’t slacken our training. We will push the next generation harder, using you as the example they try to reach.”

He paused and then added a single request. “One thing, give us access to the realm. We can use it as a training ground and a safe place.”

I understood what he asked.

“No issues, your majesty,” Dante said. “I can set a portal between the realm and Vaythos.”

He nodded and looked at . “What were your plans with the demons?”

I blinked. My first plan had been to use Primus and go straight to his demon world, that option still stood but things had shifted since then. I ran through the possibilities in my head and decided it would be smarter to take Primus with us rather than leave him behind.

“I thought I would bring Primus along,” I said.

Lucien gave a short nod. “All right. I will go and speak with Odin. Finalize the negotiation on Sukra and Dante, tell your final plan later.”

I nodded back, and Lucien vanished from the hall like smoke.

Dante let out a long breath. “Such a headache. I don’t know how we should face the Ferans.”

I shrugged. “We face them head on. What’s the problem?”

He ran a hand over his face and shook his head. “We don’t even know where they will strike. Will they co here, or will they go straight to that place? And how much do they already know about Vaythos?”

I felt a flash of impatience. I answered in a flat, serious tone. “You worry too much. We stop them before they arrive, then we rush to that place. What little they know doesn’t change anything. Nobody leaves this solar system unless we let them.”

Dante stared at . “You’re making an enemy of a powerful people.”

I t his gaze without flinching. “We’ve already made enemies with the Eternals. The Ferans are nothing compared to them.”
