Now reading: Chapter 122: Spy Overgod 2/2 from My Three Beautiful Vampire Wives can hear my Inner Thoughts, a Fantasy novel by EspirituSantu.

Faith felt the words before she understood them.

They did not co from Cain’s lips. They echoed inside her mind, clear and sharp, carrying a tone she had never heard from him before.

This old bastard dared to use it against ? I, an Overgod who ca from the future, was really surprised. Just by coming back after three days, soone used Blood Pressure against ?

Her breath caught in her throat.

Overgod.

Future.

Three days?

Her eyes widened without control as she stared at Cain’s back. His shoulders were relaxed, his head slightly tilted as though mildly entertained by what had just happened. There was no sign that he had struggled under Elder Fang’s overwhelming aura.

Faith’s thoughts raced.

What is he talking about?

Is he joking?

No... that voice was not playful. It was irritated. Almost amused.

Her heart pounded louder as she realized sothing else.

He said it inside my head.

She did not know how to react. She did not know if anyone else heard it. Judging by the stunned expressions around her, it seed they had not.

Then Cain spoke aloud.

"Well, old man," he said lazily, as though discussing the weather, "you are perfect for my plan. Let’s go and do it."

The casual tone clashed violently with the tense atmosphere.

Elder Fang was still breathing heavily, his chest rising and falling as he stared at Cain with fear creeping into his gaze.

Cain looked at him with a faint smile.

"Old man," he continued, tilting his head slightly, "what are you doing? Kneeling?"

The words landed like thunder.

Ti seed to freeze.

Every vampire in the courtyard stiffened at once.

Kneeling?

The word echoed in their minds as though it had physical weight.

They all turned slowly toward Elder Fang.

He was not fully kneeling, yet one of his legs had bent slightly when he staggered back earlier. His posture, once proud and upright, now looked unstable. His breathing was ragged. His aura flickered unevenly.

For the first ti in decades, Elder Fang did not look like an immovable pillar of the Moonshade family.

He looked shaken.

The silence stretched painfully long.

Faith’s lips parted, but no sound ca out. Her pulse throbbed in her ears.

How dare he say that to an elder?

How dare he point it out so openly?

Suddenly, Elder Fang’s body trembled.

He coughed violently.

A mouthful of blood sprayed onto the cracked stone floor.

Gasps erupted across the courtyard.

"Elder Fang!"

"Blood... he spat blood!"

The shock rippled outward like a wave.

Several Moonshade vampires felt their own throats tighten, and so even coughed faintly, as if their bodies mirrored the elder’s state. The tension in the air beca thick and suffocating.

One of the older vampires pointed at Cain with a shaking finger. "What did he just say?"

Another whispered hoarsely, "Did he insult the elder?"

Elder Fang wiped the blood from his mouth with the back of his hand. His eyes were bloodshot, filled with disbelief and rising anger.

"You!" he barked, his voice rough. "You! You! What did you say!?"

Cain shrugged lightly. "I asked why you were kneeling. Is your back hurting, old man?"

The insult was so blatant that several younger vampires flinched as though struck.

One of the Moonshade mbers, trying to make sense of the earlier scene, frowned and muttered, "Do you not know what Blood Pressure is?"

Cain glanced at him casually. "I know."

He let out a small, mocking laugh.

"Was that Blood Pressure? It felt too weak."

The words were like oil poured onto fire.

Elder Fang’s face twisted in fury.

Blood trickled from his nose now, staining his upper lip. "You! You! You—"

He could not even complete a sentence.

Whispers erupted around them.

"Maybe Cain is not in the Blood Infusion Realm..."

"He could be hiding his real cultivation."

"That would explain why Blood Pressure had no effect."

"Yes. It makes sense. No fifth stage cultivator could stand there like that."

The speculation grew louder.

Faith felt dizzy.

Hiding his realm?

Overgod from the future?

Her mind was struggling to piece everything together.

Elder Fang heard the whispers too.

His jaw tightened painfully.

If he admitted that Cain was stronger than he appeared, then he would also admit he had been wrong. He had accused a potential hero of being a spy. He had tried to suppress him publicly.

That would damage his authority.

His pride.

His reputation within the Moonshade family.

No.

He could not allow that.

He forced himself to straighten up despite the lingering weakness in his body.

His breathing slowly steadied as he gathered his dignity piece by piece.

Then he spoke in a loud, steady voice.

"My Blood Pressure did not work because this man is not ordinary."

The courtyard quieted again.

Elder Fang continued, his tone regaining confidence.

"He is a talented individual from another Vampire Territory. His blood lineage is higher than mine. That’s the reason why..."

The statent caused imdiate shock.

"Higher than Elder Fang?"

"That would an..."

Elder Fang nodded sharply as if confirming his own theory.

"Yes. That is the only explanation. His bloodline suppresses mine. That is why my Blood Pressure failed."

He turned to Cain with narrowed eyes.

"And why would soone with such a high lineage appear here suddenly? Why would he stir fear and gather us without informing the elders?"

He raised his voice.

"Because maybe..." He paused, "his mission is to bring down the Moonshade family."

A collective gasp filled the courtyard.

"That’s right!" Elder Fang declared firmly, convincing even himself. "He wants to destabilize us from within."

The Moonshade vampires began speculating rapidly.

"If he is from another territory, it could be true."

"High bloodline... that explains the resistance."

"But why would soone with such lineage co alone?"

"Maybe he is testing himself and that mission was to bring us down!?"

"What if there is an army waiting outside the territory?"

Fear spread quickly among them.

Faith looked around, seeing doubt grow once again in their eyes, she beca worried for Cain.

So glanced at Cain with suspicion.

Others looked torn between gratitude and fear.

The idea that he could belong to a rival vampire territory was not impossible. Bloodline suppression was a real phenonon. If his lineage was truly higher, it could explain why

Elder Fang’s ability failed.

The reasoning sounded believable.

Elder Fang felt the tide turning slightly in his favor.

He pointed at Cain. "You. Cage, right?"

Cain nodded lazily. "Yes. That’s my na."

Elder Fang’s eyes glead coldly. "How about this. I will attack you directly. If you can resist even one of my attacks without falling, then I will acknowledge that you are right. I will admit you are telling the truth."

A heavy silence followed.

The Moonshade vampires exchanged nervous looks.

"He is in the ninth stage of Blood Foundation..."

"Direct attack is not the sa as Blood Pressure."

"He could kill him with a single move."

"Even if Cain has a high bloodline, that does not an he can survive a true attack."

"Yes. Bloodline suppression only affects aura abilities. Physical attacks are different."

The whispers grew urgent and anxious.

Faith’s heart dropped.

Elder Fang was known as the most lethal elder in the Moonshade family. His title was not earned lightly. He had torn through enemies with ruthless precision, leaving nothing but corpses behind. His techniques were sharp, direct, and rciless.

That was why his na was Fang.

Like a predator’s tooth.

Faith stepped forward instinctively, ready to object.

Before she could speak, Cain answered.

"Alright."

The word ca out smooth and calm.

It echoed across the courtyard like a stone dropped into still water.

For a mont, no one reacted.

Then laughter erupted.

Elder Fang threw his head back and laughed loudly, his voice booming with mockery.

"You accepted?" he said between laughs. "You foolish child, do you even understand what you just agreed to?"

Several vampires joined in.

"He thinks he can survive an elder’s attack?"

"This is madness."

"Maybe he truly is insane."

The laughter spread through the courtyard, thick and biting.

Cain stood quietly, hands behind his back, watching them as if observing a group of children making noise.

Elder Fang wiped his eyes again, though this ti from laughter instead of strain.

"You want to prove yourself?" he sneered. "Very well. I will show you the gap between realms."

More laughter followed.

Faith did not laugh.

Her hands trembled at her sides.

Why did he agree?

Does he truly not understand the danger?

Or does he know sothing we do not?

Her eyes fixed on Cain’s back, searching for fear, for hesitation.

She found none.

Could he really be an Overgod from the future?

My Husband? My Cain?

Cain slowly lifted his chin, his gaze sweeping across the laughing crowd.

His expression remained calm, almost bored.

Then he spoke.

"What are you laughing at?"

The laughter faltered slightly.

He looked directly at Elder Fang.

"Hurry and attack."
