Now reading: Chapter 237: Moonshade’s Resistance from My Three Beautiful Vampire Wives can hear my Inner Thoughts, a Fantasy novel by EspirituSantu.

There it was again.

Not movent.

Not fully.

Not clearly.

But sothing that should not exist under that kind of pressure.

GrandLord Dreath’s eyes narrowed further, the faint trace of satisfaction on his face fading as his attention locked completely onto the Moonshade family.

Because beneath the crushing force that had already flattened everything—

There was resistance.

A trace.

A flicker.

Like embers that refused to die no matter how much weight was pressed upon them.

"...Still...?"

His voice ca out lower this ti, almost a murmur, yet filled with a seriousness that had not been there before.

Without hesitation—

He increased the pressure again.

Not in steps.

Not gradually.

But in a heavy surge that sank down into the arena like a collapsing sky, multiplying the already overwhelming force into sothing even more suffocating, more oppressive, more absolute.

The ground cracked deeper.

The fractured stone began to sink slightly under the accumulated weight, as if even the earth itself could not bear what was being forced upon it.

And the reaction—

Was imdiate.

"AAAAAH—!"

"No—!"

"Please—!"

"I beg—!"

The cries exploded again, louder than before, more desperate, more broken, as the vampires who had already been pushed beyond their limits now found themselves crushed further, their bodies trembling violently, their voices turning into raw screams as the pressure tore away whatever control they had left.

So began to sob.

So choked on their own breath.

So could only produce hoarse sounds that no longer ford words.

"rcy—!"

"Please—!"

"GrandLord—!"

Their voices overlapped, chaotic, desperate, filled with fear that had stripped away all dignity, all pride, leaving only the instinct to survive.

Even the Emperor level powerhouses—

Were no different now.

Their expressions twisted.

Their strength failed them completely.

Their bodies lay pressed flat against the broken ground, unable to move, unable to resist, their minds overwheld by a force that made their own power feel insignificant, aningless, like dust beneath a mountain.

Lord Vord’s eyes trembled.

Elder Achilor’s breath ca in strained bursts.

Neither of them could even attempt to speak anymore.

Because this—

Was no longer sothing they could endure with composure.

And yet—

Amidst all of that chaos—

Amidst all of that collapse—

Dreath saw it.

Clearer this ti.

Stronger.

More undeniable.

"...They’re... still resisting..."

The words slipped from his lips before he could stop them.

Because despite everything—

Despite the overwhelming force—

Despite the screams of the entire arena—

The Moonshade family—

Still had movent.

Not standing.

Not rising fully.

But their bodies trembled in a different way.

Not just from being crushed—

But from pushing back.

Their muscles strained.

Their bones creaked.

Their blood surged within them as if sothing deep inside refused to yield, refused to submit completely to the pressure pressing down on them.

"...Impossible..."

Dreath’s eyes sharpened.

This was no longer curiosity.

This was no longer interest.

This—

Was challenge.

Around them, the other vampires continued to break.

Their cries filled the air, desperate and endless, begging for relief that did not co, their voices cracking, their minds unraveling under the relentless force.

"I can’t—!"

"Please—!"

"Stop—!"

But Dreath did not hear them anymore.

They had beco background noise.

Irrelevant.

Because all his attention—

Was now focused on the anomaly.

"...Then let us see..."

His voice lowered, deeper, colder, filled with sothing that had not been there before.

"...just how far you can go."

And then—

He changed his approach.

The pressure that had been spread across the entire arena—

Stopped increasing.

Not because it weakened.

But because it shifted focus.

Like a predator narrowing its gaze.

Like a blade being drawn to a single point.

Dreath pulled the majority of his force away from the others, leaving just enough to keep them completely suppressed, completely immobilized—

And directed everything else—

Toward the Moonshade family.

The difference—

Was imdiate.

The air around them thickened.

The weight grew heavier in that space alone, compressing inward, concentrating, multiplying far beyond what it had been before.

The ground beneath them cracked violently, deeper fractures spreading as the localized pressure intensified, sinking them further into the stone.

Their bodies jerked.

Their breaths hitched.

Their bones groaned under the force.

But—

They still resisted.

"...Still...?"

Dreath’s voice carried a hint of disbelief now.

Because even under this focused suppression—

Even with the pressure concentrated solely on them—

They did not collapse instantly.

Their bodies trembled violently.

Their muscles strained beyond their limits.

Their blood surged wildly within them, reacting to sothing deeper, sothing tied not just to strength, but to sothing far more fundantal.

"...What is this..."

His eyes darkened as he continued to push.

More.

And more.

And more.

The pressure grew heavier, compressing further, narrowing tighter, like an invisible force trying to crush sothing that refused to be crushed.

The Moonshade family groaned under it.

So gasped.

So clenched their teeth.

So could no longer hold back the sounds of pain.

But even then—

There was resistance.

Faint.

Weak.

But real.

"...This..."

Dreath’s expression hardened.

"...should not exist."

He pushed further.

For a long mont—

Ti seed to stretch.

The pressure continued.

Unrelenting.

Constant.

Pressing down again and again, as if trying to erase whatever was allowing them to endure.

And finally—

One by one—

Their resistance broke.

Their bodies gave in.

Their movents stopped.

Their strength collapsed under the overwhelming force.

They were pressed down completely.

Fully.

Just like the others.

The anomaly—

Gone.

The resistance—

Ended.

The arena—

Silent once more.

Only the sound of strained breathing filled the air, faint, broken, barely audible.

Dreath stood still.

Watching.

Waiting.

For a mont—

Nothing changed.

And then—

He exhaled.

A slow breath.

"...Finally."

The word ca out quietly, carrying a faint sense of release, as if sothing that had been building inside him had finally settled.

"...So that was it..."

His gaze remained fixed on them, his mind still turning, still analyzing what he had just witnessed, trying to understand how such a thing had been possible even for a mont.

Because it should not have happened.

It did not align with the natural order of power.

It did not fit within what he knew.

And yet—

It had.

"...Strange..."

He murmured, more to himself than anyone else.

For a brief mont—

He allowed the pressure to remain as it was.

Stable.

Absolute.

Complete.

And then—

Sothing changed.

Not in the pressure.

Not in the air.

But in them.

At first—

It was barely noticeable.

A faint color.

A trace.

A glow beneath their skin.

Then—

It grew.

Slowly.

Unnaturally.

The skin of the Moonshade family—

Began to change.

From pale—

To sothing deeper.

Sothing darker.

Sothing that carried a faint crimson tint.

"...Hm?"

Dreath’s eyes narrowed again.

Because this—

Was new.

This—

Had not been there before.

The color deepened.

Spreading across their bodies, like blood rising to the surface, like sothing within them reacting to the pressure, to the suppression, to sothing far deeper than physical force.

Their skin—

Turned vampiric red.

And in that mont—

GrandLord Dreath’s expression changed completely.
