Luo Xiu sized up the audacious woman before him. She's just a delinquent. Her denim cutoffs were so short they barely covered her rear, revealing the edges of her boy shorts underneath. On top, she wore a tight, belly-baring crop top.
The delinquent was covered from head to toe in colorful ink. She even had a tattoo of Nüwa Niangniang, which certainly gave her a lot of swagger. She had a travel backpack slung over her shoulder, suggesting she was also a tourist.

"You look so pathetic and poor. If you want to show off with a fake watch, at least pick a mid-range one. You went straight for the Rainbow Daytona? Are you so kind of clown?"
She then turned to the innkeeper and said in a tone that brooked no argunt, "I'm taking this room for the night!"
"Dammit, I looked everywhere and couldn't find a room. The one place I finally find in this dump of a town is a damn inn, and I run into a beggar. What rotten luck!"
The innkeeper looked at the delinquent with a pitiful expression, too scared to speak.
"I an, Madam, no matter how bad your little inn is, you surely don't stoop to taking in beggars, do you?" the delinquent continued. "Look at how filthy he is. Who knows how many germs are on him? You'd dare let him stay here?"
The innkeeper forced a smile and nodded. The delinquent's aura was overpowering. She had 'gangster' written all over her, her eyes radiating malevolence—she might have even stabbed soone before. The owner certainly didn't want to provoke her. In contrast, Luo Xiu, dirty and unshaven, looked scruffy and truly was no different from a beggar.
Just as the delinquent was about to scan the QR code to pay, Luo Xiu reached out and covered it with his hand.
"Hmph?"
The delinquent raised an eyebrow, her gaze fixed on Luo Xiu. "Kid, I've given you enough face. Don't push your luck."
Luo Xiu had no patience for this kind of delinquent. "You've been yapping this whole ti. Are you done?"
She crossed her arms, looking down on Luo Xiu as if he were an ant. "I'm done yapping. What are you going to do about it?"

Luo Xiu sent her flying into the stairwell with a single kick, where she landed butt-first on the Immortal Sphere Plant.
He then looked at the innkeeper. "I'll take the room."
The delinquent scrambled to her feet, clutching her rear. Her face twisted in pain as she howled, "You son of a bitch, you dare to hit ?!"
Luo Xiu acted as if she didn't exist. He scanned the code to pay, then walked over and kicked her again. She had just gotten to her feet when she was sent flying back onto the Immortal Sphere Plant, screaming in agony.
When dealing with delinquents like this, kicking them is the greatest form of respect. Use my hands? That's too dirty.
"You bastard... just you wait!" the delinquent shrieked, pulling out her phone to call for backup. She had brought several bodyguards with her on this trip.
Luo Xiu ignored her, took the key from the innkeeper, and headed upstairs. He was exhausted after spending so much ti trekking through the deep mountains and ancient forests.
He had just found his room and set down his beast-hide bundle when a series of rapid knocks echoed from the door.
Luo Xiu knew it was the delinquent and her cronies, here to make trouble. He slowly walked over and opened the door. Standing outside were four or five burly, tattooed young n. The delinquent stood behind them with her arms crossed, glaring at Luo Xiu as if he were a dead man.
"You bastard, don't you know who I am? In all of Henghai Province, I, Xiang Lanxin—"

Before she could finish her posturing, Luo Xiu kicked one of the tattooed n, sending him flying. The man slamd into Xiang Lanxin, and the two went tumbling down the stairs in a pathetic, screaming heap.
Luo Xiu then turned to the remaining tattooed n. Without a word, he started kicking, sending them flying one by one.
A mont later, Luo Xiu turned around, walked back into his room, and casually shut the door. In the hallway outside, the tattooed n lay in a tangled pile on the floor, groaning in pain.
「The next morning.」
Luo Xiu left the inn feeling refreshed and invigorated. After the sound kicking he'd delivered the night before, the delinquent nad Xiang Lanxin hadn't co back to bother him, so he had slept soundly.
The beast-hide bundle Luo Xiu carried on his back was incredibly foul-slling; its fishy odor could be detected from a great distance. For this reason, he wasn't allowed to take it on a bus, and the high-speed train was completely out of the question. Left with no other choice, Luo Xiu had to hire a motorcycle.
The motorcycle driver's face lit up. He clearly thought he'd found an easy mark, so he twisted the throttle and sped off with Luo Xiu. This border town wasn't too far from Sea City, as Sea City was also a border city within Henghai Province. Taking the provincial highway, the motorcycle journey would take the better part of a day.
「As the sun began to set.」
The heartbroken man had finally returned ho.
Luo Xiu stood at his front gate, the beast-hide bundle on his back. He took a long, deep breath before punching in the code to open the door. Though it had been nearly a month, to Luo Xiu, it felt like a lifeti.
The peonies Xu Qianqing had planted in the courtyard seed to have grown quite a bit. Sun Li, who was always complaining about wanting bigger breasts, had planted several papaya trees, but after all this ti, they still looked like saplings, showing no signs of growth. The koi in the fountain pond were as skittish as ever. The luxury cars belonging to the wealthy young won were all in the garage, aning everyone was ho.
Luo Xiu walked toward the European-style mansion, pushed open the large glass doors, and entered the spacious, luxurious living room.

Luo Xiu shook his head with a smile. This young lady is still as lively and cute as ever. He set down the beast-hide bundle and went to the water dispenser to get a drink. His cup was still there, and it was spotless—Xu Qianqing probably washed it every day. In contrast to the won's cups, which were all colorful and pretty like works of art, his was just plain black and ugly.
A short while later, Sun Li returned, holding out a cup of instant noodles to Luo Xiu.
Xu Qianqing and Wu Xin had also co downstairs.
"Where's Yueyue?" Luo Xiu asked.

Luo Xiu nodded, then looked at the cup in his hands. "I asked you to get sothing to eat, and you brought instant noodles?"

Xu Qianqing's face flushed red, and she quickly hurried away.

Luo Xiu paused, then smiled. "Oh, you're awake. I was just grabbing so clothes."
Lin Xiyue sat up. She couldn't help but curl her lip at his scruffy appearance. The atmosphere suddenly grew awkward. This was the first ti the two of them had spoken since their last fight.
After a mont of silence, Lin Xiyue asked, "It's been almost a month. Where on earth have you been?"
"Traveling."
"More like living like a caveman," she said with a look of disgust. "You're all scraggly, and you reek of sweat. You stink."
Luo Xiu reached over to open the wardrobe and found it filled with Lin Xiyue's clothes. He had to search for a while before finding his own few sets of clothing.
"You should get so rest. We can talk tomorrow."
Lin Xiyue's lips tightened. After another mont of silence, she suddenly said, "Luo Xiu, I'm pregnant."
