As the earth trembled violently, the primordial God Blood Creature slowly crawled out of the ground, revealing its terrifying true form.
It was a shriveled giant corpse that stood over a hundred ters tall. Its flesh and bones seed petrified, as if it had been buried underground for untold years. The empty sockets of the giant corpse's eyes gradually ignited with a deep green fla, like a god awakening, exuding an invisible divine might that overwheld the heavens and the earth.
"Be careful, it's coming!" i Ji imdiately grew alert, her jade hands quickly forming a spell as a mysterious light flared, enveloping the three of them.
At this mont, the trio felt an imnse heaviness in both body and mind. Under that powerful divine might, they could only barely maintain their state of flight.
Luo Xiu, naturally preferring not to engage if he could avoid it, asked Watari Kagura, "Since it's your ancestor, can't you say a few nice words and persuade him?"
Watari Kagura's expression was sowhat strange. "This is just the corpse of my ancestor, buried here for the sole purpose of guarding the Divine Organ Ground from outsiders. It has no intelligence, so there's no way to communicate with it."
Unexpectedly, the instant she finished speaking, a huge palm descended from the sky with terrifying power!
Luo Xiu reacted in ti, imdiately yanking Watari Kagura sideways in a swift glide, deftly avoiding the palm.
With a thunderous boom, the ground shook, kicking up clouds of dust that filled the air.
Left unguarded, i Ji was directly slapped deep into the ground.
Luo Xiu stood in the void, gazing at the massive palm print on the ground and feeling the lingering power that had yet to dissipate. He couldn't help but exclaim, "To be this powerful as just a corpse... it's truly hard to imagine how strong he must have been in life."
Master Ping said, "So you'd better be careful, kid. This thing is far from simple. If you don't want your illness to flare up again, then retreat quickly and let i Ji handle it."
Luo Xiu had the very sa idea. He took Watari Kagura and retreated even farther away, planning to observe the battle first.
Just then, the ground suddenly exploded, and a pillar of smoke and dust shot into the sky. i Ji flew straight up, the Life Wheel erging in the void behind her. She unleashed her full strength, engaging the corpse of the God Blood Creature in close-quarters combat.
Luo Xiu rely watched from the side, not stepping in to help, which did not surprise i Ji. She knew the Azure Emperor would not trust her completely. Therefore, she could only rely on her true abilities, fighting alone to display her strength to the Azure Emperor and prove she was qualified to be his partner.
I never thought this delicate-looking lady could be so fierce in a fight.
Watching from a distance, Luo Xiu saw i Ji exchanging blows with the giant corpse, the force of their battle causing the void to tremble ceaselessly, and he couldn't help but sigh in admiration. In terms of size, the difference between i Ji and the God Blood Creature's corpse was like that between the clouds and the mud. He then added, "However, against this God Blood Creature, she still falls short. I believe she won't last long."
"So, kid, what's your plan?"
Luo Xiu's eyelids lowered. I'll watch and wait for now. Let's see if she has any other trump cards she hasn't played. If my illness acts up now and I fall into this woman's hands, who knows what fate awaits ?

As Master Ping predicted, i Ji did not last long before she was defeated. She was, after all, a being of living flesh and blood. The God Blood Creature, however, was different—it was rely a tool that felt no pain, had no emotions, and knew only slaughter.
After an intense battle, the land for hundreds of miles around was riddled with craters, resembling an apocalyptic landscape.
Within one massive crater, i Ji knelt on one knee, drenched in blood. Her dress was in tatters, and blood dripped continuously from her tightly clenched fists, revealing the ghastly white bones of her knuckles.
"Your Majesty, are you still not going to make a move?" she called out, turning to look in Luo Xiu's direction. Her gaze t his from thousands of ters away.
Luo Xiu said to Master Ping in his mind, I guess this woman either has no trump cards left, or she has them but doesn't want to use them.
He then flew over and landed beside i Ji. Only when he got closer did Luo Xiu realize that her injuries were even more severe than he had imagined. Her flesh was torn open all over her body, the bleeding ceaseless.
"I am no match for it," i Ji said, her face expressionless and her tone calm, as if her wounds had no effect on her whatsoever.
Luo Xiu said, "Retreat for now. Leave the rest to ."
"I'll be watching."
i Ji stood up and flew into the distance.
At the site of the battle, Luo Xiu lifted his head, gazing at the giant corpse that stood like a mountain, a thoughtful expression on his face.
I could probably handle this thing with Luo Tian Yu Xuan, but that would be too draining. Forget it, I'll try the Indestructible Divine Fla first.
"Trespassers of the forbidden ground shall be exterminated!"
The giant corpse let out a hollow, deep voice and suddenly stomped toward Luo Xiu. Although its movents seed clumsy and slow, they carried an indescribable oppressive force that made Luo Xiu feel immobilized, as if he were bound in place.
But Luo Xiu was not concerned.
Just as he prepared to make his move, however, an invisible force struck the giant corpse before he could. It sent the behemoth flying backward, crashing to the ground with a force that made the earth quake and the mountains tremble.
"You step back! Let this emperor handle the Divine Corpse!"
In the next mont, a familiar voice echoed from the void. Luo Xiu turned his head and saw two graceful figures flying in from the distant sky.
He was still wondering who the newcors were when a gentle force suddenly enveloped his body and whisked him away. At the sa ti, a sweet fragrance wafted past his nose as a graceful figure flashed by, brushing past him.
As they passed, their eyes t for a brief instant.
Luo Xiu's eyes widened in recognition of the familiar face.
Are you… Lin Fei?
For a mont, he couldn't believe it.
Why would Lin Fei be here? Shouldn't she be in prison, running a sewing machine right now? And even if she were here, how could she possess the power to send the giant corpse flying with a single distant strike?
As Luo Xiu grappled with his confusion, a cold voice ca from behind him, "You still rember her, huh?"
At these words, Luo Xiu's body stiffened. He slowly began to turn his head, though for a mont, he didn't quite dare to look back. He knew that voice all too well.
As he finally turned around, he saw the face he had longed for on so many nights.
"Xi Yue…" he breathed. "How are you here?"
Lin Xiyue's beautiful eyes were brimming with tears, her gaze as cold as ice as she stared at him. Luo Xiu's gaze flickered, and he found he couldn't quite et her eyes.
"Ahem, ahem…" At that mont, the woman who looked like "Lin Fei" coughed twice and said, "Let's save the reunion for later. You two back away for now."
